Stop right here. Look nowhere else. I have done the legwork for you!…read more In 2018 we had Steve and at least 5 other contractors come out to give us a quote on our kitchen remodel. After meeting Steve, there was an authenticity about him that none of the other contractors possessed. Every question that we asked him, he was up front, honest and listened intently to our wants and needs. After receiving many quotes, unfortunately then, we knew we had to save up before we could afford to have our kitchen done. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and we were ready to take the plunge! We knew that Steve was our guy. We gave him a call, he came back out several times to take measurements, design, etc. We had a start date of March 2020. Surprise... COVID! Everything was in limbo and we decided it was best to wait. Finally come August 3rd, 2020 Steve and his helper started demo work. Our final completion date was mid October. During construction time, I had two other friends getting their kitchens done as well. The horror stories they told me of their contractors being late, not being honest, charging more than what the contract stated, etc. had my husband and I feel like we hit the jackpot finding Steve. Many contractors now a days sub everything out and don't lift a finger. Not this guy! He is there every day, doing the work, and is passionate about his craft. He is meticulous and will not cut corners, leaving you a project that you are proud of. Steve is arguably the hardest working human my husband and I have ever met. When you hire Steve, you don't just get a contractor, you get a friend...that turns into family. My husband, my two children and I fell in love with Steve. He brought us joy daily during the two months he was with us and has become part of our extended family. We miss seeing him frequently, but now get to enjoy the work he did on our home daily. All of our friends and family that have walked into our home think we hired a high end contractor and designer for our project. We hired an expert handyman - the name says it all. Expert work at a fair price. Future customers, you can thank me later. ;)

I cannot say enough good things about Mike and his team. We…read morehad them in for a big job; full kitchen remodel including the adjoining powder room. I wanted to be sure we had the right team and we spoke to many of the contractors here and got a few quotes. We spoke to a lot of good folks but there was something about Mike and Angel when they came to look at the space. My wife is a great cook and had some practical kitchen wishes and I wanted a pocket door, so the powder room door would no longer swing into the dining room. Sounds simple but I heard a lot of reasons why not. Really? Not Mike; easy, he said. And it was, or at least it seemed so. And not only did they do what we wanted, they did what we needed and did not know. Like hiding heating pipes we had lived with for years. The workmanship and clean finish they brought to the simplest things; even two weeks after completion we continue find neat little touches to please and amaze us. In the end the job came out better then we could have ever imagined. My wife had to go back and update her dreams to catch up with the new reality. As if that wasn't enough, these are some of the nicest guys you will ever meet and frankly we missed them after they were done. So if you have work needed around your house or apartment, these are the guys to call. But get in line, I have another job I need done....

I am a first time home owner and a total novice to renovations, and they were so patient with all our questions and reassurance seeking and the outcome was amazing! All of Mike's recommendations were spot on to enhance the project we envisioned. Angel went above and beyond with getting the project done in the face of some major unexpected problems (helped to bring a 400 pound fridge in the building when the delivery company abandoned it outside). I would gladly recommend them to anyone!

James is a pleasure to work with (so easy going and professional) and he is always around working and managing during the project. For the work A Better Craft did for my project - see below. WORK COMPLETED: Painted my unfinished basement from top to bottom (including painting and tacking up messy wires and finding a way to conceal them), smoothed over an uneven concrete basement floor, patched up parts of the ceiling where you could see the rafters, installed recessed lights and moved electrical outlets, built a closet with doors that his team constructed from a picture I showed them, patched up and painted my cracking concrete steps in the front and back of my house, installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom, hung heavy gym wall mirrors on the concrete walls in my basement, eliminated my rodent issue by adding wood siding under my steps and deck and had my iron gate repaired in front of my home. James is a talented painter and he knows his team well in addition to knowing all the local hardware, paint, and electrical stores which helps with product and pricing.
