Come and go away couldn't figure it out. Recently flew down to South Florida and the pain was killer on the 1st and 2nd day over the weekend. I had to find a podiatrist to figure the pain. Cigna health insurance and start to search and came across SF Inst. of Sport Medicine / Dr. C. Gracia she give me her thoughts after Xray she recommend MRI. After MRI she was right on her diagnosis. The 2 doctors in NYC couldn't figure it .. I happy as a calm ,, 6 to 8 weeks in boot. not so happy.. LOL the issue of the pain is resolved.

The nursing staff is nice too. The only problem is there rude, toxic front desk. Every time I was in the line I thought I'm begging for food rations. I've always on time and had to wait at least 35-45 minutes to be seen every single time. Today I showed up 24 minutes late after a shoulder surgery for a follow up. I had no nanny and had to deal with a 14- months old with me having one arm. Yes, daddy could help but there's unexpected pooping and nappy change prior to leaving that I didn't plan for. The office gave me attitude like "oh, but your appointment was at 8". Yes, bitch. Had I showed up at 8 I would still be waiting to be called. Why do doctors think they are the only one whose time is important. I had to take time off a very well-paying job to come wait around as well. Normally it will take me more than 2 hours in this office for a 15 minutes face time with a doctor. Both my parents were physicians and I worked in patient registration in their hospital growing up. I never had this type of issue. People who had long wait time are the walk in that we only could fit them in between appointments. If you want to me keep my appointment absolutely on the dot, do yours yourself!!!!'

So we went to the wrong location first but still had some time so we tried calling ahead several times to get the correct location/give a heads up we'll be late/try to reschedule. When we got there, Christina Rodrigues said we have no choice but to reschedule. At this point I'd rather not come anymore. There's a reason the Yelp reviews have low ratings. The doctors aren't bad but the front desk staff is. They don't pick up the receptionist phone but whenever we get there they're on their phones or chit chatting. Literally she was doing nothing at the desk just chewing gum talking to the other employees doing nothing. No customers there or anything but can't pick up the phone! UPDATE: I left this review and immediately got a call back from their office saying that since we've been there before we should remember where it is! Very rude and unbelievable. We canceled and will not be returning. They expect us to memorize where a doctor's office is as if we can recall every single location we visit WEEKS ago! Because people don't have anything else going on in their lives??

They got me right in for my first visit, and took all of my insurance info over the phone so I was set to go the day of my appointment. From my first consultation, I felt I was in the best hands (pun intended). The team was incredibly thorough in explaining my diagnosis and the procedure, answering all my questions, and addressing the concerns I had about life after surgery. The day of the surgery went smoothly. The surgical team at the center was excellent. Everyone introduced themselves and I felt confident knowing I was being cared for by some of the best in the field. After surgery they provided detailed instructions for recovery and were always available for follow-up questions. My recovery was a piece of cake and I was back to work in no time. Overall, if you're looking for the best for hand surgery, look no further than the hand team at Sports Medicine Associates. Their professionalism, compassion, and expertise are unparalleled. Highly recommend!!!

The admin assistants were then dealing with a heavier set lady (who worked there) with short curly hair who spoke to them like them were dirt on her shoe. All loud and aggressive for the entire waiting room to watch and feel uncomfortable. So no wonder the front of house staff treats people coming in the door terribly when that's how they are treated internally. We wasted time filling out all documents and sitting for an hour before being told being seen here would be a liability because he had already had a surgery on his clavicle. All we wanted was to review his pain management and wound care. Not to mention the place is FILTHY from the outside. You are a dollar sign to these people. And I'm not even sure they have qualified enough staff. Overall nightmare.

Please consult this review prior to seeking care from Christopher Fanella or Dr. Fishman:…read more In 2021, I saw Dr. Fishman and his PA Christopher Fanella, for chronic back pain. An MRI was performed, and the radiologist's report clearly noted a congenital birth defect called lipomyelomeningocele. Despite this being documented in the report, Fishman and Fanella disregarded that finding and told me I was "fine," that I've had this issue since birth, and attributed my pain solely to disc bulging and herniation. I followed their recommendations, including physical therapy. Over the years, my pain persisted and physical therapy failed to provide AND relief. I tried to manage my pain the best I could with intermittent steroids and naproxen to no avail. The whole process was physically and emotionally debilitating. Finally, In 2025, I returned to their care due to excruciating pain and underwent another MRI. The findings related to tethered cord syndrome (lipomyelomeningocele) remained unchanged. Yet again, instead of further evaluating this congenital condition or referring me to a neurosurgeon, Mr. Fanella continued to recommend more physical therapy and said the defect that the defect that the radiologist noted for a SECOND time had nothing to do with the excruciating pain I was experiencing. He referred me back to PT despite me telling him that it was making my condition worse. After multiple failed attempts at physical therapy, I sought care from another back specialist, Dr. Vecchione. Upon reviewing my MRI, that doctor immediately referred me to a neurosurgeon. In 2026, nearly 5 years after my initial visit with Dr. Fishman, I was formally diagnosed with tethered cord syndrome/spina bifida by a neurosurgeon which is the cause of my extreme , chronic lower back pain that I have endured for over 10 years. Because this office failed to take the time to fully evaluate my MRI findings or investigate the tethered cord noted as far back as 2021, I endured years of misdiagnosis, unmanaged pain, and significant mental health distress. I am now facing the possibility of surgery to untether my spinal cord; something I was explicitly told years ago was "nothing to worry about." If this was not caught when it was, I could have had life changing consequences for something as routine as receiving an epidural during childbirth. My condition has worsened, and I have lost valuable years during which earlier intervention and monitoring could have made a meaningful difference. I strongly encourage patients to stay away from this practice. You will not receive individualized, intentional treatment. Your pain and MRI results will not be taken seriously, and you will likely end up in a PT mill
