I was very pleased with my PT, Kevin, following my 4th spinal surgery recovery. Thrilled with the…read moreprogress for sure! My challenge with this practice is that at certain times of the day the small-ish space feels over-filled with patients, resulting in one's rehab plan becoming hindered or lacking because most of the equipment and treatment tables are in use at the same time. And for folks recovering from procedures & injuries, such chaos and crowding stressful at best, non-conducive to healing at worst. At slower times of the day the range of therapeutic options are very effective. That said, therapists have a tendency to congregate at the desk and chat amongst themselves vs. closely monitoring or effectively checking in with the 3-4 patients they are treating at one time. Whereas Kevin was much more involved with his patients, he is no longer with the practice, and I see no need to continue services there. Generally, as a rehab professional myself, I found all of the above disappointing.

Back in March I went on a cruise and did acupuncture. It all but made the sciatic pain disappear (about 90%). When I returned I mentioned it to someone at work and found out that my insurance covers acupuncture as long as I go to an in network facility. I went to one and was unhappy with it. I then found this place. Florida Complete Wellness is located in the Publix shopping center on Volunteer Road. The door is a little hidden, but parking is easy. Pros: both drs are amazing! The rooms are clean and the doctors are friendly and caring. They have similar styles, so I feel comfortable seeing either one. This makes it easy to fit into my crazy schedule. They have amazing hours and I have been able to schedule on Saturday and Sunday. They know my benefit and in addition to the acupuncture, I am able to also get a massage as well (if I schedule same time). The massage therapist is also amazing and super friendly. Being able to walk and sit makes it all worth having to talk myself into needles (yes, I am super needle phobic). Cons: ZERO! This place ROCKS!

I wrote an honest review about how horrible their business practices are (you will see other people…read moreon here with similar stories / feelings towards the way they treat their "patients") where they responded saying they would want to help out and to reach out to them, meanwhile we both know that I've tried on multiple occasions to contact them to figure it out and they refused to help me, and then stopped answering my calls and emails. Attaching a screenshot of their bogus response, where they're willing to make a public statement to save face, but are in fact not willing to speak to me directly/privately or try to rectify the issues they've created for me. The following was my experience: Absolutely horrendous business practices. Do NOT give these people your credit card information, because they play fast and loose with your money. DO NOT GO HERE unless you're willing to spend THOUSANDS of dollars, which they will make you pay up-front and then have YOU submit to your insurance (that is only if you have out of network coverage, because he will claim at first that he takes insurance but he really doesn't) instead of submitting it to insurance himself, because that way he get's HIS money right away, while you're out thousands of dollars, despite the fact that the treatment will be spread over several months time. I was pressured into paying a large amount up-front for a certain amount of sessions, after making it very clear that I don't have a luxurious financial situation, and that this would be a stretch for me... but I was convinced it was worth it for my health. After that, when they went to charge me, they charged my INCORRECT card. I provided a credit card before payment, but instead they charged my debit card (the one I used for the initial smaller deposit) $1,500, which I had to fight with them tooth and nail for 24 hours in order to get them to rectify the issue they created. I was not able to get my refund from them until I physically came back into their office, even though it was their mistake. This was after having SEVERAL frustrating conversations over the phone and email with both the owner (Hesham) himself and his assistant, including one where Hesham, said some INSANELY unprofessional and rude things to me. After hearing that, I no longer wanted to work with them and then got charged insane amounts for wanting to cancel the "package" I purchased because of their "policies." Seems like if you cause a problem, that you could definitely make an exception for the policy that YOU created. I am getting penalized because I don't want to work with someone who has mistreated me and my money. When I told them not to charge my card again, they said "we'll call you back" and then instead of calling me back, they just went ahead and charged my card anyway without confirming with me beforehand. These people are financial predators that will take advantage of your pain and suffering. Do not trust them.

Too bad I have to give 1 star because they deserve ZERO stars. The Box Doc was a part of the Fort Lauderdale Beauty Boost event. I patiently waited my turn for a therapeutic treatment. I wasn't greeted and I was ignored by Melissa. The whole point of this event was to bring awareness and gain potential customers to your practice. Instead, I was discriminated against. The girl Melissa walked off without saying anything to me and went upstairs. At that point, I was livid. I asked another girl was she a part of the box doc group and she was even worse. She got loud and aggressive. I couldn't even talk without her over talking me. She didn't listen to my point at all and only cared to talk loud and take sides. So embarrassing everyone around was looking. No matter if a customer right or wrong. The worst thing you can do as a business is to talk aggressively loud. I would never go here nor recommend anyone I know to go there. It was too many other great vendors with amazing service. Terrible experience!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid
