Great concept. Flexible training times with trainer on standby. It's a tough workout and is always variable. Thoroughly enjoying it.

I originally got interested in boxing by trying out some workouts at 9-Round but I wanted to learn some better technique. Boy i didn't know how much I didn't know until I started at The Gym Boxing. Marty is an amazing guy - super friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. He has trained many professional athletes so he knows his stuff. He really focuses on technique and I feel I have learned a ton in the past year. I even had a one on one training session with him and it was awesome. The cardio classes here are fun and intense. They are definitely an awesome workout as I feel pretty spent after each session. There are people of all levels in the class and absolutely no judgement on beginners. There are many regulars that have been coming for years and everyone is very friendly. Overall if you are thinking about boxing or just getting in shape, I highly recommend The GYM Boxing as it has been awesome.

The kids classes are really great and Coach Jorge does an amazing job working the kids out while still keeping it fun. In fact there are a few autistic kids in my son's class and I have been incredibly impressed with Coach Jorge's ability to work with these kids and keep them engaged. I feel our son has improved his skillset and attitude exponetially since he has been attending the class. My wife also attends the Women's only boot camp and loves it. In fact it has worked out perfectly as she can attend boot camp while our son does his class. This is a small local owned business and you can see that Coach Jorge cares about all of his customers. In fact, he did not discontinue any classes during the COVID quarantine. He held daily zoom training sessions with the kids so they got some activity while at home. My wife's boot camp also had regular zoom training sessions which I even took part in. Overall, Coach Jorge is an amazing guy so if you are thinking about signing up for MMA training or even the Women's bootcamp I would very highly recommend!

This is the only workout I've ever stuck out through…read more I've seriously tried it all. Zumba, yoga, Pilates, barre, even a general membership at LA Fitness. Nothing ever did it for me. I would go to the gym, complete my workout, and then dread the next time I'd have to do it again. I tried ClassPass at some point and that at least helped in the variety, but I never really felt home at the gym. I'm a total bookworm, never been a gym rat, but CKO Kickboxing may be showing me that you can be both and there's no shame in that. Originally I went to the CKO back south in Brickell. I was introduced to that gym thanks to Diandra L., the former Yelp community manager for Miami. She had somehow gotten CKO Brickell to give a group of us Yelpers a free class and I remember getting out of there sweating like a pig and somehow intrigued by the workout. I eventually reached out to CKO Brickell and did some classes, even getting a membership. Then I got injured, my office moved, and the location just was no longer convenient for me. To top it off, the pandemic made me lazy and it felt as if I would never work out again. Cue the pandemic making me rethink my life and moving up to Broward County, where I remembered there were more branches of CKO, and CKO Pembroke Pines just happens to be the closest one to me. It was late August. Or maybe early September? It was a Sunday. On a whim, I showed up at CKO Pembroke Pines. I remembered how much I loved CKO Brickell and I just had had it with being a couch potato. I showed up around 11 AM and got to meet Aiyana and Kani. I got some info from them and called later on in the week to set up the details for a free week of kickboxing classes. The day I finally went to my first class, it was at 6 AM. I really don't know what possessed me. I typically worked out evenings, but I opted for a change. Olga, who I later learned was the owner and she really is the sweetest thing, personally set me up with gloves and wraps. Kendrick was teaching that morning, a Wednesday. I remember getting out of there being shell shocked at how bent out of shape I literally was. I somehow made it my mission to get active. Specifically to be energized. There were days I wanted to give up, but I kept on pushing. Heck, there are days I still do feel that way. People seem to think I'm more athletic than I actually am. I'm not. I'm just determined to live a healthy lifestyle. Believe me when I tell you that I was that kid who detested running the mile, and more so, to this day I can only do a girly push-up. Despite these shortcomings, I've never once felt judged for them at this gym. Each and every person I've met has been downright lovely. It's a family, tried and true. When I've been out for some time, I get asked out why, and funnier still, I've gotten to the point of telling them beforehand. It's so nice to be part of a community that remembers your birthday, spontaneously congratulates you on your 100th class, and actually is happy for you when you vacation. Honestly I'm thrilled to be part of CKO Pembroke Pines. It's no longer a pain to work out. I look forward to it now even. I recommend you heavily trying them out. What started out as a hope has become a dream. I am a little Energizer Bunny now. That and while I may never be an Olympian, I feel faster and stronger. That in itself has made all the difference.

I submitted a request for a first class through their website and Karina called me very shortly thereafter to try to setup my first class. They also followed up through text, and I promptly setup my first class for later in the week. They also followed up with me the day of to ensure I would be making it or if I needed to reschedule. I really loved how customer focused they were and was a great sign to me how much the business prioritizes customer service. For your first class, you have to start with a Kickboxing 101 class, which is essential. Karina shows you around the studio, talks about the format of the class to come, and provides a brief overview of some standard punches and kicks. I have done a few boxing classes before and I still found the Kickboxing 101 class very helpful as a recap reminder session and the classes they have at Intensity X3 are handcrafted so it's good to see how they have their classes formatted before you get started. During my last class, Catt also introduced herself to me as one of the leaders and checked on my form a few times throughout class and I've had a few amazing classes with both Markus and Karina who put on amazing classes, great coaches and really were very explanatory in their demos and pushed me and the other class members to really push us to our limits. The studio, coaches and the entire class format are quite amazing and I'm looking forward to continuing my classes at Intensity X3!

He is an exceptional asset to the club. He thoroughly explained the membership offerings and facilities, and thoughtfully matched us with trainers and classes aligned with our goals. He has consistently served as a supportive and reliable point of contact. I joined in September 2025 after more than a decade without regular exercise and was completely out of shape. My husband, while naturally active, had never worked out in a gym environment. Based on our medical needs and age--both of us in our 50s--Aaron recommended we train with Matthew Rossello. Matthew is an extraordinary trainer: highly knowledgeable, upbeat, energetic, and genuinely invested in our well-being and progress. Each session is unique, engaging, and tailored to our needs. On days when I feel unmotivated, knowing that Matthew will make the workout both enjoyable and rewarding is what gets me through the door. In just four months, both my husband and I have made progress we never imagined possible. Aaron also recommended Pia's indoor cycling classes, and she has been fantastic. Pia is incredibly entertaining, curates great music, and designs classes that are dynamic and motivating. Her sessions incorporate a variety of movements and speeds, and even include a brief meditation. I truly look forward to her classes--something I never expected to say about cycling! We have also come to enjoy yoga classes with Angela. She brings a calming, mindful approach that helps relax both body and mind, while offering stretches that leave us feeling renewed. The club overall is excellent. The facilities are comprehensive and consistently clean, and the food is outstanding. My only suggestions would be to address maintenance needs in the showers and consider enlarging the sauna--along with adding a more visible clock. Despite these minor points, our experience at Midtown has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to being members for many years to come.

Don't worry, they have later BC classes as well. Everyday you do something different. The instructor, Jim Sayih is incredibly creative with the work outs. I personally cannot do the same thing everyday, I have the attention span of a five year old. In four weeks, I lost three pounds of fat, gained three pounds of muscle, and somehow became a morning person (miracle!). I also shaved three minutes from my mile run. Two months later, my mile is in the single digits! After BC was over, I wanted to get into Crossfit. I'm now in my third week and in love. The CF coaches have a lot of patience and make sure that you're doing the workouts properly, it's all about form and technique. They go over it with you until you get it. They spend a lot of time with me because I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Everyone is so positive here and I actually have fun! For the first time in my life, I'm comfortable at the gym and get great results. This facility has free Crossfit Trial Classes every Saturday at 11 am. I urge everyone to check it out. During my first class, l was told that I (as well as the rest of the class) could use my pass for 30 days opposed to only 6 classes! Zumba is offered 3 times a week, so that was a very generous offer. I also did the free trial crossfit class that they offer every saturday at 11 and that was some hard core sh*t. My ass and legs were burning for two days post workout I kid you not.. and I work out 5+ times a week. That's how you know its good. Different from your typical cookie cutter gym, there are no treadmills, ellipticals, etc. workouts are centered around their classes. Crossfit, bootcamp, zumba, etc. Which are all better workouts and much more exciting that running in place while staring at a wall for 30 minutes. The staff and instructors are extremely knowledgable, not to mention friendly. Sometimes when getting advice or whatnot from a "trainer" I often find myself thinking that they are full of crap and have no idea what they are talking about. But I have never thought that here, 911 crossfit instructors know what they are talking about. The gym even offers instructional seminars on nutrition and such. Very community driven, they just did an anniversary party and a Holiday Food Drive. Try getting that at your local LA fitness.. 911 Crossfit comes highly recommended.
