Great Family Gym!!
Frances A.

This a great gym. Love the intimate environment. Freestyle Fighting Academy & Women Only Bootcamp is definitely the best gym in Broward County. The staff here make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The gym is very versatile teaching martial arts for kids as young as 3 years old and adults and have a great Women Only Fitness Program. What I love most is the Women Only Bootcamp. I get to workout out with other like minded motivated ladies in a great environment. The instructors keep me motivated and sweating. I have lost weight and kept it off this time. Coaches genuinely care about me and since I have been attending this gym it has made a tremendous positive impact on my life and my body. I would def recommend it for anyone ladies who want to get in shape or want to enroll their children in a positive environment. Can't wait for my little one to be able to start training here! :)

My son has trained here since elementary school and continues it as a high school student now. The…read moreTaekwondo program has strengthened a lot his confidence, concentraction, discipline, and physical and mental strength. I appreciate the age-appropriate classes they offer and welcoming environment, where even adults feel comfortable. Master Park is professional, encouraging, and dedicated to each student's growth. I really appreciate Master Park for sharing valuable life lessons with the students, helping them grow not only in Taekwondo but also in character.

Upon enrollment, they ask for a positive review for a discount--reviews should be done voluntarily. I prepaid $1,026 in full for a 6-month membership for my 10-year-old son. We fully expected to pay for standard belt testing. However, after paying $140 for his green belt test and the belt itself, we were immediately hit with an undisclosed, mandatory $430 bill for a new uniform and their specific brand of sparring gear.  None of this mandatory $430 expense was disclosed as a requirement to continue training when we signed our prepaid contract just a few months prior. Because we refused to be nickel-and-dimed and pay a surprise $430 ransom just so my son could continue using the membership we already paid for, we had to leave the school. My son's feelings were incredibly hurt, and his brand new belt is just sitting on his desk. To make matters worse, the school is currently refusing to issue a prorated refund for the remaining 4.5 months of unused tuition, effectively keeping hundreds of dollars for services they will not be providing. I have formally filed complaints with the Florida Department of Agriculture (FDACS) and the Better Business Bureau regarding these deceptive billing practices. Parents, please beware and read the fine print Addendum regarding deceptive marketing practices: In addition to the undisclosed mandatory fees, this business actively engages in deceptive online marketing. I have attached a text message directly from the business offering me a financial discount in exchange for leaving them a positive online review. This violates FTC guidelines regarding incentivized reviews and demonstrates a broader pattern of deceptive business practices used to mislead consumers about the true cost and quality of their program.

Good afternoon, I…read morewas a member of Midtown Athletic Club in for three months in the summer of 2019 and I spent nearly every other day at the facility. Not only are the grounds well maintained, the view of the nearby lake is stunning (particularly from the portico), the equipment is first-rate, and the health instructors are passionate about their craft. I was able to take part in a fitness challenge consisting of several CrossFit-like events (the Midtown Challenge) and I learned several fundamentals of Tennis during my time with the Club. Should I move back to the South Florida region I would not hesitate to re-initiate my membership as the first order of business. Thank you for reading and have a good day. Sincerely, Winston Sanks Brighton, Massachusetts

I joined this club expecting a premium experience, especially at more than $300 per month…read more Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. The gym is consistently overcrowded, equipment is often unavailable, and parking can be extremely frustrating. For a club charging this much every month, I expected far better access, convenience, and overall value. One of the main reasons I joined was specifically to become part of a tennis community. Unfortunately, that has probably been the most disappointing part of my experience. The members running the so-called tennis groups have, in my experience, been unwelcoming and at times outright rude. Instead of feeling like a club that encourages members to connect, play, and build a community, the tennis side seems far more focused on lessons, coaching, and bringing in additional paying students. That was especially disappointing because at this price point, members should feel like they are actually part of a club -- not simply another source of revenue. At $300+ per month, I simply do not believe the experience justifies the cost. I have dealt with overcrowding, difficulty using equipment, parking issues, an unwelcoming tennis environment, and what feels like a constant emphasis on finding additional ways to charge members. I joined hoping to find a premium gym and a strong tennis community. Instead, I am leaving feeling that the club is far more focused on maximizing revenue than creating a positive experience for its members. I will be canceling my membership.
