I have a membership with Active and Fit which provides me discounts and month to month (cancel anytime) gym memberships. When I enjoyed their free trial class, I signed up through my site that night. I will preface by saying that I have never had issues with any other gym using this benefit. If there's a location that's a participating gym, they know what it is. The owner assured me that that have used this benefit before and to give it a day to show up on their end. Cool. The money came out of my account and when I reach out for two days, they tell me 'we haven't received anything yet. But you can pay for classes now through us to get access to the app.' Excuse me? I already paid and I believe what is happening here is that they are trying to get me to pay them directly so that I have to commit to a contract of their terms. Three months minimum? Rolling after that? I reached out to active and fit and a rep called them personally to give instructions. The owner said her hands are tied. Tied or trying to play games???! I'm sorry for the people that work here that may have to deal with any schemes. Pilates is nice. Contracts before you know if you enjoy something, no.

I love taking the Strength 50 classes and I go to Roxanne's Wednesday evening class each week. The front desk staff is mostly nice, but some of the staff seems a little unreliable. One class I went to recently, they wrote me in on a station on the marker board and then during class starting another member was sitting on my station the whole time during the warm up. When I asked about it to the front desk, the lady said "oh that's (member name)'s station", and she erased my name from the marker board and I had to pick a new station. Not a huge deal but I arrive 20 minutes in advance to pick a location in a more desirable location. The same thing happened this week, but I noticed the same front desk employee had written in member names in advance of the strength 50 and no other people were waiting in the waiting room. It seems the studio shows favoritism towards "certain members" as one of the same members barged me out of the way to change the temperature in the studio on the thermostat. My own studio doesn't allow this, so I'm not sure why this studio allows this. This experience is why I'm rating the studio 4 stars. The coach Roxanne is absolutely amazing and I would rate her 10 stars. She is a great and thorough coach, makes sure she runs a great class, and checks on everyone's form and makes sure everyone is safe. She really is a gift to the entire OTF community and the studio is lucky to have her.

I was excited to start the day exercising as a family. The young lady at reception wouldn't allow my father to enter because he only had a clear photo of his ID on his phone (not the physical card). I politely explained the situation and asked for a one-time exception, but she strictly followed the policy with no flexibility. I fully understand the need for security rules, but a little empathy and common sense in special cases would make a big difference. Compared to LA Fitness, where staff handles similar situations with more understanding, this left me disappointed. A gym should inspire positivity and motivation, not start the day with unnecessary frustration. For this reason, one star.

My year @f45 Cooper City: F45 Cooper City isn't just another gym it thrives specifically because of Jasmine. Sure, she's a killer coach, but what i admire most is her business savvy. She remembers the tiniest details about every client and makes you feel like more than just a tapped in name. She is the epitome of customer service, kind, compassionate and clear. She's the reason I believe not all F45s are created equal, the workiuts may be the same but the energy here, thanks to her leadership, is unmatched. Emily is the reason I stayed at F45. With all my health issues and severe asthma, she made sure I was safe while still progressing, SHE is the quiet anchor in my fitness journey, and I genuinely stuck around 10 months longer than I planned because of how effective and supportive she was. I was just supposed to springboard back into fitness for a summer... and then I blinked and it's been over a year. Shawn? He's the most loving bully you'll ever meet, somehow roasting you into heavier weights while making you laugh about it. Kristina and Kevin? They're the sweetest cardio cheerleaders, the kind you want to please just so you can see them smile and nod like proud parents.Derrick is the young one on the block but his verbal instructions are some of the most clear and concise, he has a knack. As an introvert who just likes to get in, put my head down, and go (with asthma and zero cardio background, mind you), f45coop always let me be while quietly handing me weights 10 lbs heavier than last time. But if you're the chatty type looking for a "fit fam," they're SO ready to champion you, shout your name mid-set, and push you harder in the best way. Yes, the gym is clean and the equipment's solid... but what really sets this place apart is the customer service. It's people-first here, and it shows.

I was coming off CrossFit and Orange Theory and Bootcamps and general weightlifting.  But none of them by themselves were getting me where I wanted to be.  Plus I had no time for all. Then a friend of mine told me about Fit4Lyfe, a/k/a F4L. I signed up for the free class and showed up ready to kill it. After all, I killed my Orange Theory classes. For as long as I remember I have been in good to great shape... so I thought.  The trainer that day was the owner, Jason. Warmed up and away I went. All I remember about my first class was that midway through I felt like throwing up.  I thought to myself... what in the world is going on!?! F4L is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) gym as well OCR (obstacle course racing) training facility. It's a different kind of gym. It isn't like an Orange Theory or an F45. Ran by its owners Jason and Sandy, at F4L you will get the kind of personal attention you won't get anywhere else, especially in the aforementioned places.  This place is not a franchise type facility. It has a family feel to it the likes of which I've never experience anywhere before. Not only are all trainers trained by both Jason and Sandy, the routines rarely ever repeat (and I've been with F4L for nearly five years) making every 1-hr HIIT class unique. You will get whatever you put into F4L.  You want to come, take a class and leave? Cool!  You want to be part of a family? Sure.  Your call.  I've never EVER seen gym owners make themselves so available to its members. Never experienced an owner caring so much about my well-being.  Never seen members of a gym socialize so much outside of it. I had done some OCR spartan races here and there before joining F4L. Today?  I have competed in three OCR World/North American Championships.  I have placed top ten in my age group in OCR races.  I have improved my running per mile by almost 3 minutes.  I ran two half marathons.  I have ran Triathlons and will complete my first Half Ironman next year and hopefully a full Ironman the year after that.  AND ALL OF IT IS DUE TO JASON & SANDY AT F4L. I joined a gym... and gained a family... friends that will last me a lifetime. Come give it a try. It really is a special place.
