He thoroughly explained the membership offerings and facilities, and thoughtfully matched us with trainers and classes aligned with our goals. He has consistently served as a supportive and reliable point of contact. I joined in September 2025 after more than a decade without regular exercise and was completely out of shape. My husband, while naturally active, had never worked out in a gym environment. Based on our medical needs and age--both of us in our 50s--Aaron recommended we train with Matthew Rossello. Matthew is an extraordinary trainer: highly knowledgeable, upbeat, energetic, and genuinely invested in our well-being and progress. Each session is unique, engaging, and tailored to our needs. On days when I feel unmotivated, knowing that Matthew will make the workout both enjoyable and rewarding is what gets me through the door. In just four months, both my husband and I have made progress we never imagined possible. Aaron also recommended Pia's indoor cycling classes, and she has been fantastic. Pia is incredibly entertaining, curates great music, and designs classes that are dynamic and motivating. Her sessions incorporate a variety of movements and speeds, and even include a brief meditation. I truly look forward to her classes--something I never expected to say about cycling! We have also come to enjoy yoga classes with Angela. She brings a calming, mindful approach that helps relax both body and mind, while offering stretches that leave us feeling renewed. The club overall is excellent. The facilities are comprehensive and consistently clean, and the food is outstanding. My only suggestions would be to address maintenance needs in the showers and consider enlarging the sauna--along with adding a more visible clock. Despite these minor points, our experience at Midtown has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to being members for many years to come.

Due to the nature of my job, I'd purchase the weekly memberships (8 weeks for around $140) vs month to month which is $49/mo + $99 joining fee + mid year membership fee. I went to workout 1 day before a 6 week trip, and the front desk person said my membership expired that same day, and to work out I would need to buy a day pass ($20) I told him that made no sense as my membership expired that day and I should still be able to workout, so he proposed I pay the $20 and then once I came back from my trip, and purchase another membership, those $20 would be refunded. On Dec 4, 2022, I go to USI to purchase another membership. This time it was a 1 month rather than 8 weeks. I explain what happened with the day pass, and they tell me they can't honor that because I'm not getting a month to month membership.. so I was like OK whatever I'm not going to fight for $20. Come Jan 3, 2023, I go to USI and I'm told that my 1 month membership is actually 4 weeks and so it's not from Dec 4 until Jan 4, but it actually expired on Jan 1. And if I want to work out, I should buy another membership or a $20 day pass. I tried explaining and showed to the receptionist how in the email I received it says 1 month membership, not 4 weeks, and that none of that was previously explained to me. I refuse to give any more money to a place that clearly has no interest in honoring their word, maintaining a good relationship with their members, and is unable to own up to their employees mistakes. There's really nothing special in the gym: most of the machines are old (some broken), the locker room looks like storage room, zero basic member benefits (which by the way why charge their annual members an additional mid-year fee?), and the gym is packed with 12 year olds that hog machines for hours. Oh!And the personal trainers think they run that place, making members move, drop, leave machines they're reserving for later (outside of the personal training area). Save yourself a headache and workout somewhere else!

It has a small fitness room but they have all the machines you would need. The best part is the dry sauna in the locker rooms. Aside from the fitness center they have: a skating rink, basketball court, spa, event rooms you can rent, a pool table, bowling alley, tennis, cycling, two pools and a jacuzzi. They host a lot of events- especially during the holidays. This month they are hosting a foreign film special which I'm really interested in considering foreign films is my favorite genre. As a member you are allowed up to about 15 guest passes where your guest can use all the utilities for free. If you exceed the amount of guest passes then you can simply buy more for about $10 each.

I've had a few different coaches now, both Adam and Lindsey and they were both amazing- great energy and provide great demos of the workouts and checked on everyone's form. I think in general, this is a good chain and this location is definitely pretty good and satisfactory, at least for my needs. It has free weights, cardio machines, a nice pool, jacuzzi, steam room, locker room with showers, and it is always clean and tidy. There are classes like spinning, yoga, Zumba, even aqua classes, but I have never participated in them. I have a tight schedule to keep. And of course, there are enough good looking people here to increase your heart rate naturally and give your neck a good exercise.
