Let's get real. It's really difficult to find companies that will do honest, quality work on your house. I'm sure we all have stories of not so great experiences. HVAC work is expensive so getting it done right is paramount due to the cost of the investment. To sum up our experience with Tri-City: this was one of the top experiences my husband and I have ever had with any vendor doing work on a home in our entire life. In an effort to do some due diligence on my part, I contacted 2 other HVAC businesses which had top ratings on Yelp in my area. Tri-City and these other 2 HVAC companies all met me in person to do look around to quote the work. I took many notes on each of the visits to record what each of the companies was recommending, along with other professional tidbits that they shared to demonstrate their knowledge. Selecting Tri-City as a vendor was a total no brainer for us. From the get go they were friendly, forthcoming, honest (which is so key), and professional. Out of all the vendors they were the only ones willing to REALLY look around in an effort to assess the work properly. They pointed out a few things we hadn't even noticed about our ancient system. From the beginning of our meeting it was clear they knew what they were doing and what they were talking about. With each of the 2 other top HVAC companies (which I won't name in this review), I had caught them being dishonest in their assessments. Each company lied about certain things in an obvious attempt to upsell work. Queue major eye rolling. It was really entertaining to see them suggest work be done which didn't make sense or make up lies about current/upcoming restrictions of what we can/cannot purchase in our county. When these lies came out I did my best to put on a poker face/act normal even though it just didn't make any sense. So although the other company's quotes were lower than Tri-City I didn't trust their estimates/quotes and knew I'd have to deal with major BS once work commenced. The likelihood I'd get surprise additional costs was pretty high which ultimately made all of the quotes even in cost between all 3 companies. The used car salesmanship attitude from these companies which were supposed to be "5-Star" companies only solidified our decision to hire Tri-City. Tri-City never attempted to milk us as a customer and we both greatly respected their transparency. They're real honest businessmen who stand by their work. That decision did not disappoint! Since we had asbestos wrapped ducts the abatement company Tri-City teams up with came first to take out all of the old ducts. Just like with Tri-City the asbestos company was professional, on-time, and clean. The work was done well and I appreciated that the company really made an effort to be careful with the dry wall around some of the wall vents. We were concerned that we'd have to do major patch ups of dry wall but in the end didn't have to b/c of how meticulous they were. Tri-City came in each day, completed quality work, and kept me abreast of their progress. When my husband requested pictures of their work in our crawl space they happily did that with no questions asked. They went out of their way to pick up new filters for us as the ones we had weren't optimal for our system (which we didn't know). Also they did an incredible job installing 2 new wall vents in the bathroom which is finally allowing heating/cooling into our bathroom! The caulking was done so well. The sign of a really great business is when they leave your home as clean or cleaner than when they came in. Each day Tri-City left our home spotless throughout the multi-day project. Our system is working so much better with the new ducts. If we ever need any installation work done in the future we will not hesitate to reach out to Tri-City for help. We called Royale Air to give us a plan to install 2-zone system, replace our old thermostat and potentially some ducts, install 2 Nest thermostats and 3 Temperature sensors across the house, and clean the ducts. Abdu gave us an estimate that was reasonable but most importantly tailored to solving our problem as opposed to adding more services. We agreed to his estimate on the spot. We were aware of how much our neighbors spent on similar services. We were put on schedule for the work to be completed which took a bulk of a day. Crew came in on time, respectful of our house (shoe covers, floor covered, clean ladders, etc). Abdu continuously consulted with us when things weren't as straightforward (like possibility of running wires from attic to main floor). Work completed on time. Crew cleaned up the place as if no one was there. Abdu called us few days after to check if we had any questions. Family owned small business. Honest and personable. You can't beat that.

Quoted $338 but actual cost was $505 - vent cost on estimate was off; 9 vs 12 - so cost was $505. They did clarify billing BEFORE work and ask if I still wanted it done and I said yes - mainly because I had rescheduled things to accommodate them (twice). When I called up to schedule appointment they texted and said they could be there next day at 4pm. Come 4:55 pm I texted and asked if they were still coming - no, at another job and said they could be there next day at 10. They arrived at ~10:45 as I was just about to text them and cancel. Now for the vent cleaning itself. Were the vents cleaned, yes - so 1 star. What they did was blow out ALL the dust and particles of vent into living spaces and then vacuum up most of bigger chucks. This vent cleaning aggravated air and allergens for my son (and myself) instead of helping with it. They only laid tarp in one room - my son's room cuz vent was under his bed - everywhere else they simply blew dust all into carpets and sofa etc. Right after air duct cleaning inside air was over 500 AQI (somewhat expected after any cleaning picks up dust). BUT a day after still over 200 AQI while outside was 50 AQI. We have hepa filters in each bedroom and large Orsani EJ120 and newer Orsani Mod and each bedroom has its own Molekule - total overkill for house that is under 1,800 sq ft cuz the air quality is the ONLY thing that seems to help with son's asthma. We replaced Orsani filters just a month ago but will need to replace it AGAIN. After re-washing all bed linens and blankets I'm now looking for someone to help deep clean my house of all the fine dust particles. The larger ones chucks left behind is not as bothersome as the fine dust. WORST thing about the whole experience is that AFTER I sent them an email stating my unsatisfactory experience they called back, saying that conversation was being recorded, telling me that they were NOT responsible for allergens and basically it was my fault. Now I feel stupid for paying someone to blow dust into my house and I'll have to pay to replace air filters and get help to deep clean house. In response to owners comment, I only cropped out my personal info. They Quoted me $349 for up to 8 vents, $39 per additional vents. Found it dishonest that they went back and edited the original online estimate. Sad because they are local boys from Dublin and I really want to support local residential small businesses; one of the reason I initially decided to use them. This morning I sent a message through Yelp to Two Brothers, they immediately responded and called me to schedule a time to come look at my unit. Today was a hot day and I was worried they would take a few days to test our issue but I was very fortunate - Daniel from Two Brothers said he could be there in half an hour. He got there right on time, climbed up into our attic, talked me through the problem that we had and explained to me that he had to grab some parts to repair it. He left for about 20 minutes and returned with the parts and had the system working in less than 10 minutes. He was very thorough in explaining everything, tested the whole system after repairing and made sure I was content before moving forward with anything. EXTRA BONUS - we are Muslims and this month is Ramadan, Daniel saw the Ramadan decorations in our home and was very gracious in recognizing and acknowledging.
