Poor customer service. Had an appointment for alteration of my daughter's XV dress and she refused to do it, claimed that my mom should do it- "it's very easy to do at home". Spent almost $1000 and she wanted to give me a trash bag for dress, ended giving me a dirty used one. The XV is fast approaching and don't have time to shop for new one. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! This was my fifth store trying on wedding dresses. I had been to David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Bridal Showcase and Anthropology's BDHLN. None compared to this stores selection, quality of product, and professionalism. Oki's knowledge of my body shape and her positive spirit was beyond delightful. She worked with me two separate days as I wasn't sure of which one was my favorite. She styled me with a veil and shoes. Nothing else would've been appropriate for the style of dress I was trying on, so I know she was really listening to the style I was looking for and knew what worked with certain dress styles. The styles are current, which is a huge plus because many of the previous stores I had visited were one style kind of shops, like the buyers for the shop picked only their favorite lace, colors, and styles. I found three dresses in champagne and ivory I fell in love with for their perfect fit and look and ultimately picked my wedding dress here. I said yes to the dress with confidence by buying from a family owned store. Thank you Oki and her Husband for making my wedding dress experience the best I had out of all the places I visited. In addition, I appreciated meeting their daughter (who also works there) and her beautiful son who came for a visit. I purchased my wedding dress and my 12 bridesmaids purchased their dresses back in January and were quoted for delivery dates of Mid June and late June. The dresses arrived weeks earlier than we were quoted for which was great! I got a Maggie Sottero ballroom dress for $1500 which was well worth the price and would have been possibly double the price at another location. Aria Bridal also caters to prom and ballroom customers so the store doesn't actually feel like a bridal salon. It's pretty crammed in there and the seating area is a little worn out. It lacks privacy and the center stage is a high platform for all the store to see. At one point, the alteration lady made me take my bra off in front of the whole store while up on the platform. Luckily enough there was only 1 male in the store. Alterations are pricey - I would recommend going elsewhere if you need alterations. My alterations cost me $395 which only included a front hem and sewing in cups for the breast area. Totally ripped off on that front. I had to hear it from a lot of my friends after the fact that I should have went elsewhere and would have save so much money. Additionally my veil cost over $500 for a cathedral length veil with sequin embroidery along the borders. It was an impulse buy as well as 1 of my bridesmaids paying for 1/2, but I would recommend shopping around prior to buying the veil from this location as well. All in all, I enjoyed the service and the selection this place has to offer. They have a great couture line (which I thought I originally wanted) and features one of my favorite local designers, Kitty Chen. Oh her dresses are amazing. Every one of the dresses I tried on here were beautiful and I loved them all. As compared to other bridal salons/boutiques that I have gone to, this was the best selection that matched the price. I wanted a dress that would be stunning but that also would not break the bank. The owner is also very friendly and the staff provides excellent communication via my cell phone and are always reachable. Most people tend to write reviews when they have bad experiences, but I am going to write my experience and tell you all how awesome it was. I had gone to a bridal salon the day before going to Aria, and it was my first time. I tried on 12 dresses, and the girl working there was nice, but very quiet and timid. I suppose it depends on what kind of experience you are expecting. I picked out and tried on a bunch of different ones, to find the general look I liked. I hadn't felt like I found THE ONE, so was curious to see what my next experience was. When I arrived into Aria, Abby was more than enthusiastic to help me look for dresses. She had me fill out a paper with basic information, (date, venue, etc) And was talking to me about my wedding and asking me if I knew what I liked or didn't like. She squealed when she saw my ring and looked at it for a while telling me how pretty it was. We chatted some more about what I thought I liked, I showed her a picture of my favorite from the previous day, and explained what I wished was different. Immediately she said she knew the exact one for me, and ran off all giddy to get it. She told my mom, maid of honor and I to feel free to look around but shed be pulling some dresses for me. We picked a few but she had had a bunch ready so I decided to just see what she pulled. The FIRST dress she pulled and knew was THE ONE.... was in fact, THE ONE. I couldn't believe how she just knew by looking at my ring, venue, and talking to me for 5 min. She welcomed me to try on the others, and I did, but nothing compared. I ended up putting the first one back on again. I am not an impulsive buyer so I didn't want to make a decision right away and she had no problem with that. ***Also, a very important thing Id like to point out is that I gave her a budget and she stayed within it completely. Didn't pull one thing higher than my maximum. I appreciated that a lot. When I purchased the dress she even said they would work with me on making payments and that I didn't need to pay it in full all at once. I put half down and will pay the other half soon. She let me sleep on the decision, and I called her back to let her know I wanted it. She gave me a time to come in and measured me really quick and that was it! 10 months until my wedding, and she told me it will take roughly 8 to make. If I have a terrible experience with Aria when the dress is in, maybe Ill write another review. But as far as I'm concerned, I had an overall awesome experience here with Abby and her family. If you are looking for a salon that serves you water, drinks, is all fancy shmancy... this is probably not somewhere you want to go, but if you are looking for a place that has a lot of selection, good prices, and enthusiastic people, definitely check it out. Some Facts that might contribute to me having a positive experience... I took off a day from work to go on a weekday. My appointment was at 2pm and I was the only one in the store. First mistake was not reading reviews for this shop before I went. I chose this store based on the closeness to my home and because they carried the dress designer that I was most interested in. Second mistake was to let the owner pressure me into making a decision to buy a wedding dress at my first appointment. I had not been to any other dress shop so I did not know what to expect. They never gave me a chance to think over my decision or discuss with the girls I brought with me. I did love the dress I chose though so I thought it would all be fine...but I was greatly mistaken! I went in telling the salesperson that I was getting married in 5 months and needed a dress quickly. They assured me that I would receive my dress in plenty of time. I ordered my dress beginning of August and they told me it should arrive early November which should have been perfect for my New Years wedding. Fast forward a few months and by mid November I was wondering where my dress was. So I called...Okie (one of the owners) answered the phone and told me it should be any day now. Finally after another week I get a call that my dress is in. I called again and made an appointment for alterations. I happened to be at the mall a few days before my appointment and I was too excited to finally see my dress so I stopped in the shop to try it on. I was quite concerned when I tried the dress on and could not get the sleeves all the way up my arms nor could I pull the skirt of the dress down where it should. When I voiced my concerns to the salesgirl, Gail, she was not very reassuring saying that she didn't know if it would work either but that I should ask the seamstress at my appointment. Fast forward to the fitting appointment...I was greatly reassured after talking with the seamstress Abby, that she could make the dress fit the way I had envisioned. I happily payed for alterations and made my second fitting appointment. We are now down to a month before the wedding. 3 days before my second fitting appointment, I get a phone call from the shop stating that they're closing and that I need to pick up my dress ASAP and that they will not be completing my alterations as agreed upon. When asking the owner why they took my money for alterations he proceeded to complain about the mall to us and we never got a clear answer as to why they wouldn't complete the agreed alterations. They first stated that the store was closing, then it turned into the seamstress couldn't do it for some reason, then it turned into my fault because I didn't order my dress in time (remember I told them my timeline). The company cares nothing for their customers and takes advantage of the wedding industry because they don't care about repeat customers because they most likely wouldn't get them anyway. I just hope that more people do the research that I failed to do. There are plenty of bridal boutiques out there that actually care about you and not just about money. read more

customer service wise I feel that ANY retail shop should allow you at least up to 7days to return a dress. But to say you can't exchange, return and all sales are final?? My daughter bought a dress there for $250 for her Prom. She is not able to go now and has lost $250 of her hard earned money and when we called Aria there wasn't any sympathy at all about her situation. I understand fully that people may wear dresses and return them but upon inspection you would see that this dress is brand new and prom isn't for weeks away!! I have worked in retail for years and until today I see now why people should always purchase from chains ie (Macy's, Nordstroms, JCpenneys). We were at the mall and saw this store. I haven't picked out a dress so we decided to just browse and see what they had. It isn't your typical bridal store. It's really crowded and messy. They weren't that friendly when I came in. They didn't acknowledge us and when I finally went up to them for help, they asked if i had an appointment. of course I didn't because i wasn't even intending on shopping there. They didn't seem too happy to help me since i didn't have an appointment and they told me to come back. Wtf?! I was already there, why not help me now? So I was able to make an appointment for the following week and still convinced them to at least show me some dresses now since I was already there. I was going through the rack and they stopped me saying the racks were weak and it would be better if they pulled the gowns for me. ok fine. I tried on some nice dresses and Taylor was the girl who helped me out (who also kept pushing to come back a different time). They wouldn't let me take pictures of me in the dresses so I can make a decision later. Since I was with just my mom, the pictures would've been helpful to show my bridesmaids for their opinion. But they told me I had to buy the dress first in order to take a picture. HAHA! The fitting rooms were gross by the way. The curtains barely fit and are so old. It was really uncomfortable changing in such a small room with male customers in the store and they can see right in. Sometimes it took me longer to get out of the dresses and the owner would check up on me "everything okkkaaayy?" I say "yes fine thank you" BUT SHE OPENS THE CURTAIN ALL WIDE like she caught you doing something shady! Yeah I was still changing when she did this! TWICE! The store has potential. If you're in the bridal business have better customer service. Make the bride feel special and comfortable. Clean up your store and invest in better fitting rooms. Taylor was ok in helping me with my dresses. She did do a nice job in pulling pretty dresses for me but the only thing I didn't like was how she made me feel unwelcome when I first came in interested in buying a dress. Also, just a tip for you brides to be, all the dresses I tried on, we're online at half the price. Or even at the other bridal stores I went to for a few hundred dollars cheaper. Extremely overpriced. Looked for a simple ball gown in the $200 range in a certain color, they only had 2. (That's they low end of their gowns). They do not take returns for ANY reason. They aren't overly pushy, but not very knowledgable either. I bought a dress that was "ok" just to be done with the dress shopping experience. I got the dress in, and it had fraying and holes in the seams. It also had no tags on it. I called and asked them if it was used, and they assured me it wasn't. I had to go all the way back to the store. They called and couldn't get another one in on time. They attempted to find me a new dress in the same price range, but again, with only 2 options, they failed. They finally DID give me my money back and were nice about it. They were also nice enough to call me back later on that day saying they had found other options. In my opinion though, after the dress i received (Did they not check it over before giving it to me?) I would not risk getting another one from them. Also, I looked up the brand of dress and found it for less than half price on the designers website. It's also in a weird location. It's "tucked" in the back of the mall, you have to go outside the mall in the back to get to it. There's not even a parking lot directly in front of it. It's very crowded, small fitting rooms with old curtains hung. Not a great experience for me. No complaints on the staff though. They were all helpful, friendly and patient. I ordered my bridesmaid dress in January. They advised me it would arrive about mid March. It arrived April 24th. Merely 9 days before the wedding and it still needed to be altered. Let me tell you, the customer service here is the worst I've ever heard of. The bridesmaids were calling in to confirm delivery, all they said was "Call back tomorrow". When i first emailed Aria, John Miller, the owner only said "We are expecting the dress to arrive soon, don't worry"..no apologies, no update...nothing. He even mentioned the dress would be in on that day, a couple of minutes later he emailed me again and said they had JUST received notification that the shipment was delayed. I asked him for a refund of my $100 deposit, his reply was simply "no". Again, no explanation or anything. I decided to go in and try the dress on when it finally arrived. Oh boy. The dress was super tight, and the torso portion of it was for a much taller body type. The quality of the dress is by far not $200.00 worth. The owner's wife came in and was already irritated by me saying it didn't look right. All i could hear from her was *sigh* It looks fine *sigh* By this time, all i wanted was my money back. I did not want to pay another $100.00 for this dress, that did not fit and was sub par quality. I asked them for a refund, they said no. I left the dress with them. So they now have the dress and my $100.00 deposit. I went to David's Bridal and found the perfect dress within 10 minutes and spent a whole lot less for a much more beautiful dress. Save yourself some stress, go somewhere else. Customer service is not their priority at this place. In the end, all of this could have been prevented had they given me my money back. read more

I love my wedding gown from Aria Bridal! I came into this store with a bad attitude (I'm very curvy and a larger size and was convinced that I wouldn't find anything that would fit or flatter me). Abby, the wonderful salesgirl, quickly changed my mind by selecting numerous gowns in various styles that flattered my figure. Whereas some stores only stock smaller sample sizes, Aria had a huge variety of dresses in all sizes, so that even as a size 16, I could try on a dress and see how it would actually look on me. Abby was great about showing me dresses in my price range and not trying to upsell me. My mom loved the service in the shop so much that she would up scrapping her original mother-of-the-bride dress and buying a new one here. I dropped one star from the store because my alterations cost twice as much as the original estimate that we were given when it came time to fit my dress (even though the actual alterations made didn't differ much from the estimate). However, the seamstress who did the alterations did a wonderful job, so I was only annoyed rather than being too upset. This is a great store that will give you a positive experience, even if you don't have a stick-thin model figure type. read more

I came back and she picked out tons of dresses! Wow tons of stuff for a girl like me! She knew exactly what I wanted, and the first dress that she pulled out WAS THE ONE! Customer Service is really bad here. Youo would think that for a place that sells formal dresses for over $400.00, the girls working would be very friendly when you walk in the door, and go above and beyond to help you. I cant speak of their bridal service, but then again when I walked through the door, they didn't know what I was there for. The women at the desk, literally looked up, saw me, then went back to writing something... Anyways, my daughter and I found our way to the formal dress section and looked around. The dresses are beyond crammed together, the place has this very odd odor, and everything is bunched up in plastic, so it is hard to see what the dress looks like on the hanger. My daughter found a few dresses she liked for Prom and tried them on. They were all super itchy, ill fitting, and with the rude customer service, i was just over it. There are plenty of formal dresses in the mall...You would think that if Aria wanted to be a competitor in the formal dress market (especially around prom time) they would be NICE and put a SMILE on their face....I won't be back! read more

We made the grave error in making a purchase with this store. If I can save even one bride the heartache of dealing with the management of this place it will be worth all the money we lost. It is no wonder at all that they have to keep changing locations. They were in Fashion Valley and Escondido but no more. Now they are bringing their bad practices to poor Temecula. My daughter is getting married out of state. While she was visiting, we stopped into this store to browse - sure that we would not be buying a dress here. After trying a few on, we were assisted by Abby. Before I knew it I was buying my daughter a wedding dress. After seeing what my daughter liked and was looking for, Abby had found the perfect dress - everyone loved it and it was a better value than comparable dresses that we have seen at other stores. This was my third bridal store I visited to find my dress. The lady that helped me was really nice but she had to leave me a few times to help walk in customers and answer the phone. After the 5th time it started to get annoying . I had an appointment so I was hoping for a little more one on one service. Also, there were 3 or 4 dresses I wanted to try on and they only had samples in a size 4 and 6 for those dresses, so I didn't get to try them on. Why wouldn't u have some larger, average sizes since I'm sure that's what would fit most girls. I tried on about 12 dresses and didn't find anything that I really liked. Considering how many dresses they carry I was a little disappointed. I ended up finding my dress at Brides by Susanti a couple miles away. I would definitely recommend Susanti over Aria. read more

I shopped for my wedding dress here, though I found it elsewhere. The shopping experience was less than stellar. Pros: --They carry 2 Be Bride (a division of Mon Cheri), which is hard to find. Cons: --No photos are allowed. --They cut the designer tags, and won't tell you the designer names or style numbers of the dresses that you are trying on. --They have a small, outdated selection of bridal gowns. --The consultant didn't even try to learn what I wanted in a dress. --They were the only bridal salon I visited that didn't offer me a strapless bra to use. --Small dressing rooms. --Small mirror. --The manager kept walking by and insincerely saying how this dress or that dress looked great. --No restroom in the salon (you must use the mall one). read more

Aria bridal is fantastic!! I went into this store as they used to sell me all of my prom dresses and I remembered really liking the owner. I went in on a Friday night with a couple girlfriends and was helped immediately. Brittany rocked my world!! She is the absolute best to work with and made my experience wonderful. I tried on my dress that night and came back the next morning to show my mom. I also had to try on about 15 others to keep my sanity and throughout all of it she was so incredibly helpful, patient, personable and had great ideas!! I was a total pain in the butt and wanted to try everything on and she was fabulous. She knew exactly what I wanted. When I found my dress I didn't like the flowery belt that went with it- so she suggested a diamond belt instead and it completely made the dress. At other salons I went to I found some of the girls to be kind of lame and didn't really seem to care, but here I felt like they genuinely wanted me to find the perfect dress and would not stop until I did. Also- they have TONS of dresses and an awesome selection. I loved her and the whole experience and I bought my gorgeous Maggie Soterro dress today and am a very happy girl. ALTERATIONS: Although they offer alterations, they are not professional bridal quality. After paying about $200 for my wedding dress alterations, I had to take the dress to a professional wedding seamstress to have her fix what had been done at Aria. Abby, who is an excellent salesgirl (I'd trust her in a second on that and wouldn't change the experience of purchasing my dress from her) also did my alterations. She clearly did not have a broad enough sewing knowledge for working with all types of fabrics, seams etc. for wedding dresses. More importantly, the work she did do was extremely sloppy--seams not straight, cuts rough, fabric buckled, etc. She also told us she didn't have a full size ironing board available as she sews and the dress does NOT come pressed at the end; you have to take it somewhere else to have it pressed and ready to wear on the wedding day. All in all, it was a stressful experience, especially when my mom and I gently asked Abby questions about alterantives to things that looked sloppy and she became defensive and even condescending, telling us there were no other options and she's never had complaints about that, etc. It turns out there were many alternatives and my new seamstress easily and beautifully completed the simple things Abby said were impossible. Also, interestingly, the new seamstress told us she regularly has brides coming in asking her to fix sloppy alterations done by Aria. So, go there to buy the dress and get great style and fit advice but take your dress somewhere else if you need alterations. read more

I loved my experience at Aria. Abby was FANTASTIC!! She was so patient with me and probably helped me get into at least 30 dresses (I loved almost all of them). By the time I left there I felt like I had a friend in Abby, she is super kind and incredibly KNOWLEDGEABLE! She knew everything about every dress and every designer they carry. I am very glad that I purchased with Aria. I did not have my dress altered here so I can not comment on that but my dress and veil came in on time with no hassles what so ever! I honestly don't have a single complaint about this store or anyone who helped me here because everything from the dress selections to the store associates to picking up my dress went incredibly smooth. I went into the store with my fiance to pick out the tuxedos for the groomsmen. The owner placed several catalogs on the the counter and let us look through them together. I actually appreciated that she didn't stand over us...but she stayed close enough so that when we had questions she was right there to help. Turns out the store is Korean owned. My fiance is Korean and the owner gave us tons of useful information on where to also purchase a hanbok for our tradition Korean ceremony. As the owner and my fiance spoke I walked over to the wedding dress section with a bridal consultant so that she could write down stock numbers to the dresses I wanted to try on. I plan on going back to try them on without my fiance. I was a little surprised at the prices...I set a budget of 2k for a dress and all four of the dresses I wanted to try on were 1200 or less. Thats a good thing. I also walked around the bridesmaid and prom dress section. I was a tad annoyed that the dresses were not really in an order that made sense to me. Not by color or length. They were somewhat scattered. However the wedding dresses were clearly organized. I liked the friendly, informative and not pushy service I received here. I will go back and my only complaint is that the place needs to be a little bigger....lots of dresses in a tiny space is a bit overwhelming. read more

TIP: A bit hard to find - the entrance is on the exterior of the North County Fair Mall - so if you're in the mall - you'd have to go towards Sears and ONAMI Sushi and actually walk out the exit to find it. read more

When I went in for my first appointment, I didn't really know what I wanted since this was not my first wedding. I was trying on dresses that made me feel old and dumpy. I just walked into the shop while visiting the mall at Temecula and found an incredible selection of party dresses. I actually needed something for a company function and found the perfect dress with Oki's help and they altered it to fit perfectly. I received so many compliments on the dress at our party. This is not just an incredible place to purchase a designer wedding dress, but a dress for any occasion. Oki shared that she has sold dresses to entertainers as they can special order any dress. This was the most uncomfortable shopping experience. They didn't help us shop for a dress. I asked for my daughter to try a ball gown on and was told that she didn't like them, by the lady helping us, and almost refused for her to try it on. My daughter originally purchased a wedding gown at David's Bridal after being pressured into it by a rude saleslady. When we went looking for my Mother of the Bride dress we chose not to go back to David's and instead ended up at Aria Bridal. Everyone was wonderfully helpful! They even went in the back to bring out a couple of dresses that had just come in. I bought a gorgeous gown and had Abby do the alterations. I have been a seamstress myself, when I put myself through college, so I can honestly say that her skills are superb. The girls below who gave low ratings do not know what they are talking about! After I picked up my dress, which was gorgeous, I asked Abby for help with my daughter since we had all fallen out of love with the other dress. She found the PERFECT dress in hours and then was able to do the alterations in FIVE DAYS! We picked up the dress this morning. It is so amazing on my daughter she looks like a princess! I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted but Abby asked me a few questions about my personality and my wedding and the first dress she pulled was the one. While this store does have a large selection and the customer service was good to begin with the minute we had an issue with the purchase they're service went seriously down hill. The dress purchased cost $500 and when my friend was being fitted we noticed several stains that looked like grease stains. We asked for the dress to be cleaned and we're told it would be. However, when picking up the dress three days later, the stains were still on the dress and we were told there wasn't enough time to have it cleaned. Ok fine, but when asked for a refund of money to cover the cost of dry cleaning we were immediately denied and told no one in the store knew how to process a refund. The ONLY redeeming fact about this encounter was that one of the sales people took cash out of her own pocket and gave us a refund. read more

The gals who worked here really are top notch and were super helpful, friendly, and patient. I came here several weeks ago with my Mom and two of my bridesmaids (had made the appointment several days before). We pulled probably 30 dresses and had a ball. After narrowing down to two dresses they pulled the swatch books for us to see the fabric options and advised about the website for one of them where you could see all of the different color options on a 'click per color combo' type of way. Super helpful as the decisions are endless and hard to visualize from a book. I haven't ordered the dresses yet but I was given advice for the two bridesmaids who aren't local (on which measurements are needed) and to wait and order them all at once so they're all cut from the same fabric and match. Fairly typical info but a good reminder and very appreciated as in my bridal bundle of nerves I might not have remembered or known the correct procedure. I don't remember offhand the names of the two girls who helped me but they were both great. We kept browsing after looking at the bridesmaids stuff and actually found a bunch we wanted my Mom to try on. We didn't have an appointment for this but luckily they were more than able to assist her with trying on dresses. I think we were there for two hours but it was a lot of fun. The place is a bit hard to find (and a drive from Carlsbad) - luckily I randomly picked a central mall entrance and pretty much just had to walk straight through the mall and out the back (by McDonald's) and there it was to the left. They told us there's an other location at Fashion Island but it didn't come up on the website; perhaps though because I was looking at one designer via locater (which we ended up not even going with)! I believe they said the turn-around time is only 3 months or so. Will keep you posted as we'll need to order in the next month or so! read more

I originally came to Aria Bridal in search of a specific Maggie Sottero dress, and her website directed me to this store. Although they did not carry the dress I was looking for, they did have plenty of Maggie dresses. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. My friend and I picked out several opens, and my sales consultant picked out a few too. She helped me in and out of the dresses, and adjusted clips and straps and all that. She also picked out a few other options that weren't Maggie Sottero, but they were pretty much the same dress/look I was looking for. I did not end up picking my dress here, but the experience was great, and I would recommend it to others as well. I did not feel rush or pressured to buy a dress, although she did mention that their stock changes often, so it's possible that they wouldn't carry the dresses I tried on in the future. My wedding isn't for over a year, so I am still searching for my perfect dress! read more

The 5 star rating is for the Customer Service! I bought my wedding gown from them last year and I was very satisfied with it. Abby was very helpful and friendly. So was her Mom when I went to pick up my gown. There was another lady that was also helping me and she was also very helpful. They are not pushy either, which is a huge plus in my opinion. Oki and daughter Abby and everyone else who work at Aria are nothing but professional, caring, and energetic in their quest to find the perfect dress for your occasion. I told Abby the occasion (son's wedding), showed her the colors, and voila! Within minutes she selected half a dozen beautiful dresses. And they all looked fantastic! She's a wizard! I came back to find a dress for the rehearsal dinner. Again, Abby helped me despite a busy store. She did a great job with the alterations, and made sure I was happy with the results. I watched her do exactly the same for other customers in the shop. Four years ago my daughter chose her wedding gown from Aria--beautiful! I came back because I had fond memories of the experience. I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend Aria. Great selection of gowns; great expertise and professional service. read more
