We hired Ari Plumbing for a small job at our rental condo. The estimate provided said two plumbers needed to go out to investigate. That seemed questionable to me and I asked him about it. He said two people can brainstorm issues and investigate better. That didn't sound totally credible to me but I was in a crunch so I agreed. While the plumber was at the job, Ari texted me and said they could fix two other problematic items for a fixed fee. I said ok after confirming the total cost with him. After the job was done, I checked with my tenant about the work. She said the work was done but only one person came. The owner did not mention this to me. I called him and asked him why he didn't tell me only one person was being sent out. He was very argumentative, combative and defensive and said that the extra items involved additional time so it would still end up costing what was originally quoted to me and there wouldn't be any difference in the final cost. He said what does it matter- the job got done. It matters because I am being overcharged!!!! (the two people would have been $140 + $70 per hour each. The actual person sent was $160 per hour) That doesn't make ANY SENSE. He should have told me that only one plumber was going out and revised the estimate. Or even after the job was done, told me only one plumber went out and revised the final bill. The fact is he never told me that only one person was sent out, and it was only after I called my tenant that I found this out. And the two extra small jobs were for a fixed price; he did not mention additional labor or materials charge. I just decided to pay the bill because the difference in cost was $75 and I don't have time to deal with this level of foolishness. He was so argumentative and nasty over the phone that I'd rather just not deal with him ever again. What is important to me is the priciple of the matter and his lack of integrity. The fact of the matter is, Ari was never going to change the final invoice or own up to his mistake or lack of honesty. He said if he changed the invoice, the extra labor/time/parts/whatever would make the invoice the same amount or even higher than the original estimate. He acted like he was doing me some favor and charging me less than the real cost. WHAT is he talking about?? He took advantage of the fact that the job was at a rental property where the owner would not be present. He either thought I wouldn't talk to the tenant or wouldn't look carefully at the bill. I found him to be very dishonest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am never using him again. (The actual plumber that was sent out seemed fine.) read more

Ari responded to my call late on a Sunday, immediately asked me to send pictures and diagnosed the problem, told me what to do to minimize flooding, and arrived the next day to fix the problem. Got a quote to install a faucet then he called back and nearly doubled it because it was a condo.

We called Ari because of a failed pilot light on a water heater. We spoke with him and when he found out we had a homeowner warranty, he urged us to go with the company's suggested plumber instead of spending additional monies. When we spoke again on the phone about other plumbing concerns, he explained how we could do the repair ourselves. He gave explicit instructions albeit we were fearful to continue when the valve would not turn. In our estimation, Ari is honest and is willing to forego a service call ($$) to help you. He and his assistant were here to fix a gurgling kitchen sink and that mixing valve that was stuck and only gave out cold water. We had another plumber diagnose the issues and wanted to charge an exorbitant amount to fix both. Ari charged us for the call, the time it took to fix the issues and gave us instructions on how to prevent the same things from happening again. Charge us a very reasonable price. Truly a consummate professional and very knowledgeable of his craft. He is very personable to boot and has quite the sense of humor. We will definitely call Ari Plumbing should we have any plumbing or gas issues in the future. read more

Came out to provide an estimate for extending a gas line. Took measurements and photos and said he would text an estimate shortly. That was over two months ago. He never responded to my follow-up texted request for the estimate. Seemed like a nice guy, so this was as surprising as it was disappointing. read more

really dissatisfied. scheduled replumbing as part of my home renovation. for months he canceled with the weakest of excuses, even though he knew i had limited water in my house. i was waiting for him because of good price. over six months he canceled, always at the very last minute (i.e. when he was supposed to show up), he would call with an excuse that he could have told me about 24 hours earlier if he had any common courtesy. i'm not sure if any of his excuses were real, and they all were kind of complicated - actually making the others redundant. doesn't matter if workers are on strike, since yoj actually couldn't get any parts. which one was true. when i checked the parts were all available at home depot, maybe not at plumbing supplier. who knows. he finally shows up and i hear him talking to apprentice and i get sense he never noticed there were two different sizes of pipes to be installed. oops. he didn't say anything. all of a sudden he can't work in a few bathrooms, because there are a handful of items on counters. who cares, you said it was fine previously. actually the house was prepared exactly as you want it. you are working under counters. claims he now wants them totally clear to work. i call this making stuff up because you don't want to fulfill the fixed price contract and you know i'll never have you back in house because he is totally dishonest. didn't need counters clear before. how ridiculous. read more
