Michi S.

She did a great job on my mother who made 91 this year. When I flew home, noticed my mother's toenail's were starting to stack on each other and it would be difficult to cut. I was amazed with the pedicure results and her nails looked great.

Nails done at Ari's Nails by Su. What a great experience and enjoyed the conversation. Overall experience was excellent! Mahalo nui Su!

What a great experience at Ari's Nails! Su is wonderful and we enjoyed the conversation we had. She is very attentive and scheduling was easy. Clean and comfortable environment. Overall very pleasant experience!

Loved nail fill I got here! I hadn't had my nails done in YEARS and wanted to have them done for an event in Colorado that I was attending. The salon I went to initially did such a bad job that they were popping off in just a few days! I already had to leave for my trip at this point so had them redone in Colorado upon arrival. Wanting to not have that experience again I checked online for who had the best reviews and this was the spot! I was not disappointed! Will be returning :) Mahalo!

I'm so happy I found this place! Definitely recommend for walk-ins, affordability, the salon and location, especially if in the downtown area. First things noticed was how clean and well taken care of the space is. Very welcoming! It wasn't bustling, with only two nail techs on hand, both sweet and demure, which further accentuated calmness. I just needed my set filled in and wanted to go back to a basic color as well as the shape changed from coffin to almond. Last hoorah before going back to natural. The owner ended up doing my nails, in less than an hour; we had a nice lil chat. Ari is the name of her daughter! :)) so cute! 10/10 would return.

Super cute place with a super sweet owner. Shop is clean and organized like other reviews mentioned, would definitely come back when we need services again. Not a busy/noisy salon at all. Full set w/ gel polish was under $70. She also offers permanent jewelry in the shop!

So sweet, typically goes by booking but was kind enough to take me as a walk in, i was new and she made time for me. loved the inside and the vibes, let me play whatever i wanted on her tv. the nails are gorgeous!! a little on the pricier side $94 dollars for a full set, but i think the price reflects the result, which in this case was amazing!

Just wow. I used to go to another salon until their work just kept getting worse and worse. I found Ari's Nails here on yelp, and decided to give it a try. I have no words for the kind of service that has been given to me. I am autistic and so it can be hard for me to communicate, and honestly I was just embarrassed by the state of both my toes and my fingernails. She NEVER judged me for anything, and took such good care of me. We talked about the fact i'm from the south, and we had the best time. The services she provides is top tier, and helped make me feel like a woman again. I will never stray away from her after this! I can't wait to come back in a few weeks and see her again. If you're looking for a one woman show, she's your gal! Sue is so kind, fun, and honestly someone I would recommend to anyone and everyone. The vibes of her salon are so calm and comforting, quiet and relaxing! Thank you Ms. Sue for all you do for girls like us who just want to feel confident again!

Green and pink ombré. Inspired by Sakura season.

It's hard to find someone who does my eyebrows in a way that I really like, so Su is the only person in Hilo that I will come to. Every time I've gotten my nails done with her has been a great experience and they come out looking beautiful. Thank you Su! read more

I treated my mom to a "girls day" at Ari Nails. We got some of the best mani pedis ever! The ladies there are very thorough and also very kind and funny. I noticed some of their products they use are organic. I don't go to nail places specifically for that purpose, but it was a nice touch. Also, the nail polish they use is incredibly tough. I've had it on for a few days now and have consistently jammed my thumb, scraped my nails against things and the polish hasn't chipped, cracked, or scratched at all. I'm amazed! We will definitely be back for our next girls day! read more

I need to post an update. I got my nails done 24 days ago and just look at how nice they still are. I did all sorts of hiking and climbing and housework when I got back home from vacation. There's no breakages or anything. Every other nail technician I've gone to has done my acrylics far from the cuticle such that a week later, it looks like it's 2+ weeks old. Su did them perfectly, close to the cuticles with no space and that's why 3+ weeks later they look totally fine. 10/10 highly recommend and so worth the money. read more

Su is amazing! I used to bring my father here for pedicures. After he had a stroke he needed help caring for his feet and he was not comfortable with me doing it. He also had trouble speaking. New to the area and searched 4 months for a nail salon I could call "home". I was extremely nervous trying to find the right technician to handle my ingrown toenails while paying careful attention to the cuticles. Like most, we want that clean-toe pedicure feeling. You can have the best polish but if your cuticles are not handled - it's a hot-mess....in my humble opinion. I've tried a few nail salons in this area and nothing compares to Ari Nails. My search is over and I am extremely pleased and relieved at the same time. (If you have ingrown toe nails - you know what I mean because of you get a technician who doesn't know what they're doing - you'll be in pain & agony! Trust and believe.) Su is a very warm, kind, and professional woman who knows how to receive her clients hospitably. She runs a very clean and sanitary nail salon. She definitely knows her profession - she handled my ingrown toes nails and my cuticles on the first visit! She's very respectful and knows how to carry a pleasant conversation which was very refreshing! It was such a pleasure to meet her! I will most definitely continue my patronage at Ari Nails. read more

I didn't need an appointment and was told I could "just come in." The deluxe pedicure was amazing. Liz totally took care of me with a clay-ish rub on my calves followed by a coconut scrub, massage with lotion, then a great pedicure which has lasted weeks. I was blown away by everything that is included in the deluxe pedi and with a Kama'aina discount was truly icing on the cake. Need to go back for another deluxe pedi! read more

Ari did a great job on my nails! I love how they turned out, she got the shape, color, and design to be exactly how I wanted. She really takes the time to perfect the nail. She's very friendly and easy to talk to and has a beautiful salon. I also love the COVID precautions she's taking at this time. She takes only one client in her shop at a time and they are screened (temperature check) upon arrival. There's also a glass divider put up between her and the client at the work station. Overall, I felt very comfortable in her salon! I definitely would return/recommend Ari Nails :) read more

Su is just unbelievable She's fast, and she knows what she's doing. Her nail designs are extremely beautiful, gets it exactly the way I want it done and for me that says a lot. I paid a lot of money going to school studying as a cosmetologist, and doing artificial nails was my thing until having babies made me stop. She is customer friendly and does what you want not what she wants, she is also honest and won't just make you think she knows what she is doing. Now for Liz her worker Damn she gave me an awesome pedicure, her massage was to die for which in fact I thought I was in Heaven when she did mines. Really don't have any negative things to say about them, the service, the cleanliness of the salon as well as them being very conscious about sanitation. read more

This time I brought my mother and daughter and I will be back! I cannot tell you the price for all of us was something I was amazed at God bless this business and everyone who blessed us today! I walked out feel like a lady with my toes did, nails done and I wanna tell everyone about my positive experience. I have tried many nail salons and most are over priced, dirty and not the best customer service. This place is the vibe, clean, amazing service and quality and the first set I got stayed on forever so I am excited that I went back and I have no regrets and I'm not leaving feeling regret over the price I'm leaving fully satisfied and so happy and feel so blessed. I really needed this Mahalo Nui Loa to King and his wife and family and to Jess!

The older lady, short in stature, was throwing my legs around like I was a side of beef. Then she started digging under my toenails so hard I had to say STOP loudly after I had already said easy there. She cut my toenails so short one was bleeding. I am a nurse and had to bandage my toes in order to work the next day. I hope my nails don't grow back ingrown as you are supposed to cut toenails straight across not round them. I got a manicure. So very satisfied. She was so gentle on my cuticles, which can be very sensitive, and the color choices were nice. The hand massage at the end sealed the deal. Very reasonable prices and excellent service. I will definitely be going back! read more
