First time coming here. Small shop with a few stations and a few pedicure chairs. I needed to fill my gel nails that I originally got in Honolulu. I've been to a couple places in Hilo and hands down this place is better than the other places I've gone to. I was the second customer in the door and they started getting busy. Not sure if it's because it's a weekend. I asked for a French ombré as that's what I originally had and asked to shorten my nails a bit. She did exactly as I asked and I'm loving my nails. Sorry to say but it looks better than it did when I got it done in Honolulu. Not mentioning the name of that salon as they're really good too, however, my nails look a little more natural now. I didn't get the name of my technician but she has short hair and sits at the first station behind the front desk. I'll definitely be coming back again!! Sidenote.. if you check out their website, there's a coupon you can download, you just need to provide your email and they'll email it to you automatically. Getting pampered gets pricey so any little savings help. I just showed the email to them before I paid.
Kings work is worth waiting for... sometimes there's a wait even when you schedule ahead, but the quality of his nail work is exactly what I seek. Paula does a fantastic job with my lashes and she's very gentle & attentive. Pedicures from Tonny are always a treat! It's a tiny salon but they work hard and work together. Walk ins are welcome but I suggest scheduling ahead because they are quite busy.
I've been going here to do my nails for over a year now and I only go to King or Jackie. And when I do a pedicure I specifically request either of them because I trust them! When booking with king, even when you have an appointment you can wait a bit longer than expected but everyone who goes to him knows this. And most people feel it's worth the wait! He tends to do more extravagant nails which I don't usually do so I decided to switch over to someone who I can make appointments with faster I go to Jackie now for my fills or polish changes, and she's great! She's the only local girl in the shop and always has a smile on when greeting you.
Not sure of who my nail tech was but I think they came out okay. There definitely could of been more polished added to the top of my nails. See my photo. I took away a star because the nail tech took sooo long. 1 hour and 30 minutes to do gel polish is outrages in my opinion. Wasn't sure if she just wanted company because the salon was pretty empty. But overall she took her time and did a good job. One thing to note, on Sundays they close at 5pm not 6 like Yelp is showing. Happy Mani and Pedi!!!
1/4/2019 At this salon I screamed with pain and looked what the nailist is doing.n She was digging my skin and cutting skin and my toe was bleeding. She quickly dipped my foot in a tub and said don't worry it's okay. After while, bleeding stopped but that night I was keep waking up with pain. Next morning my toe was infected. Now yellow liquid is coming out. I hope it is not going to get worse. She also cut the corner parts of the nail that may lead to ingrown nails. She hates me or something?
Today was my second time getting a manicure from King & has blown my mind yet again. This is my second time going into the shop, never fully knowing what I want. All I told him was I might be wanting a light blue color & he took it from there. He does great work & as I watch him I noticed he always triple checks my nails. You can tell that he takes pride in his work. He is very kind & so is the rest of the staff. The environment is quaint & peaceful. My kind of place, I plan to come back for my third appointment :)
WORST MANICURE EVER! I wish I could give ZERO stars. Literally the WORST manicure Ive ever gotten...EVER in my life. So sad because I was excited to find a local salon that offered gel extensions. I made an appointment online and even provided my credit card to save my appointment. They said they will charge $25 to cancel under 12 hours. Hard to find parking so I circled a couple of times. I brought in pictures of pink with silver opalescent glitter tips. Got there on time at 11:15 and waited for 45 minutes. I told myself it would be worth it to get gel extensions. Then the nail tech tried to give me acrylics. I said no, builder gel with forms. He repeated what I said so I thought he understood. But I stated it again twice during the manicure when it seemed like he was just painting my stubby little nails with gel polish. He barely filed my nails and did not clean my cuticles-I still have rough skill all over my fingers. He left the gel polish with sharp edges and instead of silver, he put some green opalescent rub on the polish but left it all over my skin. I told them I was disappointed and they said sorry. Thats it. They were fine with taking my money. Such an awful experience and it cost me $50! Am sorta grateful that they didnt do my extensions because this sloppy gross work, I can only imagine the horror! Seriously, DO NOT GO HERE!
I must say that when I heard that King at Heavenly nails is the best, I knew I had to check his work out. I can honestly say that he did not disappoint. He was patient and so detailed. My design took about 3 hours to do and he got it right! Definitely my nail guy from now on.
Went in to King. He was quick to see me and he did my nails beautifully! He has quite the eye for detail and making the nails pretty! I would recommend him for beautiful down nails with attention to detail! I'll be back in 3 weeks to refill my nails! I actually found King on instagram and saw all of His work and had to just get my nails done by him! The shop is cute and small!
I heard a lot around town about King and his work. I went in without an appointment, just called ahead and told him I needed mani, pedi and lash extensions. I was about 30 min from getting there so he told me to come on in. WOW! His work is amazing and he made me feel like a Queen while he did it! I showed him a pic and my set turned out better than the pic. His work is meticulous and I appreciate him for it. My lashes are bomb too!
King is the best! His work is beautiful, clean, constant every time. Also last very long (3weeks) without breaking off. I know cause there's times when I don't have time lol to go back fill every 2wks and let me tell you his nails don't budge! Lol Really takes pride in his work.. worth every penny! Lilly was awesome! So sweet and friendly. You can always tell right away when a manicurist knows and enjoys what they are doing. She fixed my nails that another salon had just botched. Great conversation. Super warm and inviting. No parking but worth the walk!

The only good thing was that my toe nails were done (although my cuticles were not cut) . But the service is bad and awkward. No type of making you feel welcomed. One of the guys here seems to be very controlling& creates a tense environment. I feel like they should play music or change their customer service. Or change their business to something they actually like I got charged almost $50 for a regular pedicure which said $35 on the list I didn't ask questions and just paid. They made me choose the color I wanted on my toes &I assumed maybe it was extra charge for nails, but I feel like they should communicate with people more and let you know the additional fees. I really hope the workers here can provide better service read more

Can I just tell you how happy I was to stumble across this little gem!!!! See King, he's a expert at his craft. Simple and beautiful. To my surprise they also do lash extensions, tattoo and waxing...so guess what, my brows got some love too lol! Thank you King. See you soon! read more

I heard a lot around town about King and his work. I went in without an appointment, just called ahead and told him I needed mani, pedi and lash extensions. I was about 30 min from getting there so he told me to come on in. WOW! His work is amazing and he made me feel like a Queen while he did it! King does an amazing job EVERY time He is always able to get the shape perfect, and does his best to get you in as quick as possible. Parking can sometimes be shifty. I have never gotten a pedicure here but people always seem to enjoy at least from what I have seen while I am there. read more

I would love to write a nice review for this place. I have only been here once & I needed a nail place to do my fill for my WEDDING IN 2 DAYS! I called on a Thursday at 6:30PM when they close at 7PM and they took me in! The nail technician took her time and was excited that I was getting married on Saturday (in 2 days) and not irritated that she had a late customer. I live in Oahu and spend a lot of money on my nails every 2 - 3 weeks to up keep my nails. I was worried about going to a new place, but they did great! read more

This place is always good at getting me in fast/last minute, and they always do a good job! I think it's a little over priced compared to other Hilo area nail salons (gel manicure and regular pedicure was $57), but the guy who does the fancy nail art seems to be really good (I always get plain gel manicure). I like their regular pedicure-- the massage chairs are great! I did ask the lady to make the water hotter for me than usual this time, and she did, which was awesome. My friend told me when she went that the tools didn't seem sterile, she didn't see them open a new package, which was concerning, but when I went in they opened a new package right in front of me so who knows. read more

Really great service, they take their time, are friendly, courteous, and constantly check on your comfort. Susan did gel mani and regular pedicure, she checked if the water temperature was good, if I liked the shape she filed my nails, if the color was turning out ok. Very attentive. I got my eyebrows threaded as well and the girl did an excellent job. She also took her time and ensured that my eyebrows looked even and clean. I came back today for a pedicure and brought my sister too! read more

AWFUL! Pedicure was rushed and will have to repaint my nails myself. The nail polish is all over the skin. Also got leg was and she missed spots and the wax was cold. Very painful! Will never go back. read more

Definitely the worst pedicure I've ever had. I wonder if any of the people who gave raving reviews have ever had a true professional, quality pedicure. I'm a Jersey girl so I guess I have high standards and I expect a perfect application when I am paying good money for it. read more

They don't sanitize their tools, the cuticle equipment already has stuff on it. The lady worked on my nails seemed to be in such a rush(there was no customer waiting) and had such an attitude. Totally destroyed my nails by shaving it very thin in such a rush. She also forcefully pat my fingers down because they were in her way. I told her I liked to cut my nails short, she said oh I like it square and she proceed to trim th square. I felt weird about that at the time but didn't say much. When she started putting on nail polish, she did such an awful job, it was so uneven. I pointed out couple times asked her to fix it. When we went to pay, she added tax to the price(not sure if it's a Hilo thing, but all the other nail salons I've been to never added tax to the price). I highly recommend you do NOT go there, it's a waste of time and money!! Updated with photos: this is a week and half later with my broken nails destroyed by them read more
