I love the products in this store. Unfortunately, their quality control leaves a lot to be desired. We purchased furniture for our living room and dining room. The sectional with chaise was made to order. We picked the furniture, then we picked the material. When it arrived, it had a stain on it--water stain? Who knows? The delivery man actually realized it was there. No problem -- they were sending a new cover. They expected me to put the old cushion in the new cover. First, the stain (whatever it was) would have gone into the cushion as well. Second, there are buttons that go into the cushion. How am I supposed to do that myself? We ordered six leather dining room chairs. They took longer than expected. They were delivered yesterday, and three out of the six had scratch marks on the legs. Who is looking at this furniture before it goes out for delivery? read more

I usually put a review when a business underperforms or over-performs. Arhause definitely under-performed. This is a warning to anyone looking to purchase from Arhause. I love the design of Arhause furniture but be prepared for horrible customer service. Once they have your money you are forgotten customer. They try to oversell products and on two occasions our orders did not come in on time or was missing pieces. Ordered a buffet and the shelving was missing and item was scratched. The deliver company contacted client services and notified them of the error. Client services guaranteed me they would deliver me a new Buffett and pick up the damaged buffet that was missing shelves. 3 wks pass by and I did not hear from client services. After several attempts I got a client services representative and asked for an update. Client services informed me that they manufacture could not give make me new shelves and could provide me with a credit of $200!! I was so insulted a scratched piece that was delivered late and missing shoving for a $200 credit! To make the shelves it cost over $200 and forget about repairing the scratch. We have 2 couches that are expected to be delivered this month that we purchased specifically to match the buffet and all we were offered is we are sorry and a credit for $200. read more

Arhaus has beautiful and unique things. I have been looking for a chandelier for a while and I had some time to kill before my movie so I wondered in. I always thought that this place was very expensive so I didn't expect to find anything but was hoping for some ideas. Tricia greeted me and my husband and I told her what I was looking for, something sparkly and unique. She said she had just the the item. She took us to the second floor and when I got off the elevator I saw it immediately. This chandelier was stunning but I knew it would be a fortune, but I was wrong. It was incredibly reasonable! We bought it received it by UPS in a week and hung it up. It's an amazing piece and like no other. Tricia knows the store inside and out and if you tell her your ideas she can show you things that will work for you. Go in and take a look, you'll be surprised at the quality, variety and the prices! I'm giving this store two stars because the furniture is nice, BUT.... they way they do business has a lot to be desired and doesn't deserve any stars. I just came from there - a saw a nice plant in a glass jar - the tag said $49 - there was a 25% off sale so I bought it. After they charged my card and I signed the paperwork, another woman came over and said that they hadn't charged me enough - the plant (and I'm talking a small $5 plant) was $49 and the jar it was in was an additional $39! It's not like they sell plants separately and would take it out of the jar to sell it to anyone. It makes more sense that the jar was $39 and an additional $10 with the plant. I requested a refund and won't be going back - SIDE NOTE - I bought a few accessories last week - the young salesgirl was fantastic. Sad - I was going to go back and get a bed I liked. read more

Review based on service not product: I recently purchased a sectional and kitchen table from the Paramus store. While the initial transaction went smoothly, everything thereafter has been a nightmare. Shipment of the sectional was delayed because no one called to complete our payment and we were unaware that scheduling the shipment was hindered by that until WE called the store to investigate. We were then given a delivery date to find out later (after we had arranged time off of work to receive the delivery) that the sectional would only be at the warehouse that day and we would have to arrange a different home delivery day. We have since received the sofa yet still wait for our table. Again, WE called the store last week to investigate. Low and behold the table has been in the store for days and no one called to set up delivery. They then suggested a delivery date two weeks later which is simply unacceptable. We have been awaiting a call with an update, AGAIN, and AGAIN we have not heard from anyone in days. Are we expected to go pick this up ourselves? Call every day until we can get some answers? The logistics of our order have been mishandled again and again. While the product may be beautiful, it is not worth the hassle and frustration due to the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service we have received. At some point I will get the table I am anxiously waiting for, and I can promise you that will be the last time I deal with your store. read more

We recently purchased a bedroom set from Arhaus in Hackensack, NJ. The experience was wonderful! We work with Heather, our sales person and Etta, our interior designer. They provided us with outstanding service. Etta has amazing taste and always makes herself available to answer questions and provides advice. She is very warm and caring. Our bedroom is beautiful! Heather is also very helpful and mindful of our budget. Her recommendations have been amazing as well. She helped us with my living room last summer and it is beautiful. Worst customer service ever, the sales associate lie to you about the delivery schedule. Had to wait almost 2 month for a chairs and drawers. When spoke to the supervisor, she never apologized, instead, she was denying that there was nothing that they did wrong.. I posted a review in April which seems to have been taken down. We placed an order January 22 which came to us (finally after many inquiries about status) the second week in April. The base of the dark brown bookcase that we ordered was delivered in a blonde wood finish, obviously not matching. The nesting console tables for the same room were also delivered in a blonde finish, it turns out, a sales associate mistake that I didn't catch. (She had originally input that item as nesting end tables, which I did catch weeks after the order when I called to get the receipt that had never been sent). Since the bone-headed mistake in April, we have been dealing with the store manager who told us that in took another week for corporate to 'unlock the sales order' so she could input a corrected order, and that it would take 6 weeks for delivery. Flash forward 5 weeks to the end of May and we have heard nothing so I call and talk to the store manager - a different one. He said he was 'a little preoccupied right now,' took down the transaction number and said he'd call me back. Given that our stuff took a week to travel cross country to a warehouse in LA where it sat for days more until a truck was coming to the Bay area, I'm wondering if we'll have our furniture by the end of June. Buyer beware, though the furniture quality is good, the customer service is atrocious. There are plenty of other retailers who care about the customer experience with service that is responsive and gracious. Don't risk the angst of dealing with Arhaus. read more

I purchased an L shaped sofa and after waiting 10 weeks I received an email to pay the balance so they could schedule the delivery. After paying the balance, they scheduled the delivery for a Friday between 2:15 to 4:15. The day before I had my old couch's removed and taken away. We had 20 people invited to our house that evening and we waited until 5 pm for the delivery before calling to inquire why we didn't receive the delivery. We were told that they tried calling us (lie), texted us (lie) and they also said that they waited outside my house for 90 minutes and didn't bother to come to the front door (another lie). Never received an honest answer nor did I receive the couch's. They said they will provide me with a picture of my house. I will not take the delivery from them and will never do business with this dishonest company. The assistant manager (the only person that tried) offered to deliver the following day. Unfortunately that was too late and didn't solve my immediate problem. Our 20 guest were standing the whole evening without anywhere to sit. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Arhaus. We ordered a chandelier in October 2020 and still have not received our purchase. We have called the Riverside Square mall store on numerous occasions to inquire about the status of our order and the service we received was very dismissive. We felt it was best to go into the store to speak to a manger and after speaking with our salesperson we were told that the delivery date is set for the end of January. When the delivery was not made in January, we checked back with the store and was told the new delivery date was at the end of February. We checked in with the store today to confirm that the delivery was actually going to be made next week and was told that the delivery date has been moved again to the end of March. At this point I don't know if they are just making up delivery dates to satisfy our inquiry. I decided to speak to a manager in the store and asked why were customers not provided a courtesy call when deliveries were not going to be made on time and his response was that we have over 85 stores and can't give calls to every customer to let them know that deliveries will not be on the date provided. He then said that we were more than welcome to cancel the order. He did not take the time to be understanding of our frustration and to try his best as a manager to make us feel at ease that we will definitely receive our order or offer a similar item as an exchange. My husband and I felt that we were not treated as valuable customers and therefore we canceled our order. Why give business to a company that does not value their customers? I am disappointed that we will not be continuing our business with Arhaus. Shopping at this store comes with the expectation that you will receive excellent customer service and to my disappointment that was not the case. read more

I should say that this review would be a 5 star review if based only on the customer service we received from Andrea and Christopher - they were both phenomenal. This review would also be 1 star or less if not for them. We purchased a dining room table, chairs, a chandelier and - as an afterthought - a floor sample couch. We inspected the couch from head to foot and it was perfect looking. About two weeks ago the couch's back leg collapsed when someone gently sat on it - this occurred less than 30 days from purchase. Upon further inspection, the leg was either shoddily repaired prior to our purchase OR the craftsmanship of the piece is so poor that I'd expect more (and have gotten more) from Ikea. It should be noted that the way the leg broke and the weak spots of the construction were not visible at inspection, all were inside the piece and covered by fabric. I contacted Arhaus who said that "they do not stand behind their floor sample" items... I was shocked as this is a high end store with considerably priced items, even at floor sample prices. Our sales person clearly said - though verbally and (in hindsight) contrary to the published store policy - that the only thing we wouldn't get was the ability to purchase the worry free guaranty, but that Arhaus stands behind their pieces. With that in mind we purchased that couch; fully expecting that from such a lovely store, nothing would go wrong but expecting coverage on things inherently wrong - in fact our sales person said as much. Don't get me wrong; I understand that floor samples are discounted for a reason, yet I'm not looking for something extraordinary. Indeed, if anyone from Arhaus would look at the leg itself I fully expect that they too would be mortified at the state of the construction. Are we to believe that the items on the floor are of lesser standard? If so, that should have been clearly stated. We have loved shopping at Arhaus for some time but am afraid that we will not only not return but would recommend that our friends and family shop elsewhere. I've had friends who related similar experiences with Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware floor samples where those stores have stood behind their merchandise. Shop there. Don't bother with a company that treats their customers in this manner. read more

No apologies AT ALL, zero empathy for having waited seven months for this, NOTHING. Attitude was like "oops, too bad", please follow up with us to get your money back. BTW - this was after getting yelled at over the phone by one of their sales people when I called to inquire about it being scheduled to arrive over 1 MONTH after it was supposed to be delivered. My family isn't snobby about always having to shop from "high-end" stores simply because of the brand. But if something promises to be of good quality we do not deprive ourselves of the luxury, and are always willing to invest in things of good craftsmanship and value. After five years with our set of sofas we decided to redo our entire interior design and gift my mother with a set of custom made furnishings. So we went to Arhaus, which promised not only some of the highest quality sofas but also great customer service. After having been at the store a couple of times checking out selections and making our final decision, we spent about two hours at the store sitting down with a sales associate picking out fabrics, colors and wood for the sofa set we had picked. In total, our entire purchase came out to about $6,000 and our wait for the delivery (since it was being custom made) was 3 months. So we waited, and I am just completely devoid of words and dismayed at the experience we had after receiving our sofas. THREE MONTHS we waited, just to received the worst made sofas we had seen in our entire lives. And that's not the best part, the set didn't even come together because during delivery they HAD LOST the other part of the set! The way the fabric had been cut was as if they'd run out of freaking fabric and put left over pieces of it together, and when you stuck your hand through the crevices and sides of the sofa the stuffing (super cheap too) would come out, and when two people sat it would even sink in places. I got a call from my mother just in tears about having paid so much money only to get something that had been so poorly made. Not only this, we never got notices of the delivery time, so the delivery guys just showed up one morning at 8:30 dropping off stuff. They didn't even bother to put down carpets and booties for their shoes- so THEN THEY ENDED UP SCRATCHING OUR HARDWOOD FLOOR when moving the furniture in. When I called Arhous they apologized and promised to take back the sofa and that it would take another 3 months to make us a new set. They told us we could keep the sofas they had delivered until they could get us our new ones. Meanwhile the second piece of the set was still lost. It was a COMPLETE MESS. Customer service told us they would call again to let us know about the delivery of the other set and being just so scared about receiving another piece of crap sofa we decide to call the Arhouse store again to double check with our sales associate, and guess what? NO NEW ORDER HAD BEEN PLACED! That was the last straw for us, and we returned everything. My mother was so completely disappointed and upset, and she had no sofas for THE HOLIDAYS - when we had been supposed to already have our "amazing" new sofas. It was a total inconvenience, especially since we had already gotten rid of our old sofas. The whole experience was just horrible, so - though we don't come across this often - this company is one sad example for another "high-end" over priced brand that doesn't care about its customers (which spend tons of money at their stores!) and clearly don't have their manufacturers makings the high-quality merchandise they promise to sell. We just recently decided to stop by the Macy's Furnishings store on Rt. 4, and we were just blown away by the service, the fast delivery, the customization choices, and after ending up purchasing our sofa set there, the delivery men were amazing. They set up carpets before coming into the house, put on these booties on their shoes to protect our floor (which is how I know about the booties in the first place), and even stayed to check the sofas for any mistakes. Even better? We spent not even HALF of what we spent at Arhaus! So my ADVICE? Check out other stores, don't rely on this BS high-end store, and if you do end up buying from them- good luck! read more

I recently purchased a condo after selling my home. It's was a big change but being empty nesters we felt it was time. I wanted the space to have a totally different vibe than my home. The space has a large open floor plan and I didn't know where to even begin. I walked into Arhaus and really liked the design of their merchandise. The furniture is beautiful, current and they have unique things . All appeared sturdy and well constructed compared to other places I had visited. Walking around aimlessly Tricia came to the rescue. She was amazing. She asked all the right questions of what I envisioned for my new place. Tricia came to the condo measured everything out and immediately shared her thoughts of what could be done. She was terrific, came back again with a board and swatches so that I could see how all the pieces would work together. She help really helped me through the process. After finalizing the design the order went in. The delivery took bit a longer than I expected but when you decide to customize the furniture that should be expected. On the day of the delivery Tricia was there!! When I came home from work that evening the entire place was put together. I loved everything it looked exactly as I thought it would be and it was all due to Tricia. After inspected the furniture we did notice that some had some problems and we called their customer service right away.We took pictures and sent to them. They did not question anything that we called. They are sending someone to repair some of the pieces and are actually replacing some of them. I spent quite a lot of $, living room furniture, dining table and chairs, area rugs, and lighting. I was also surprised to learn even though I had spent quite a bit of $ I still had to pay for the delivery fee. They should offer free delivery over a certain amount spent. Overall I am I giving this a 4 star because of Tricia. Without her I do not think I could have ever had done it. She was the person who took the time, patience and care to work with someone who knew what they wanted (somewhat) but didn't know how to put it altogether. read more

Worst customer experience, lack of professionalism, delivery service, and follow up. The sales associate never followed up on the deliveries I was the one who had to call to ask about the status of the items being shipped from the warehouse. I have placed the order for one of the furniture about 2 month ago, she initially told me it will be ready between end of April to latest first week of May. The delivery was arranged for Saturday (05/18/2019) for 4:15pm, which I confirmed with the delivery coordinator on the phone and even received the confirmation E-Mail as well. Waited until 6pm, never received the call from nobody, so again I personally called the delivery department, of course they were closed. I have contacted the showroom, the manager finally contacted the delivery guy, he called and told me that his truck was broke in the morning.. and also stated that on his note the delivery was arranged between 4:45pm to 6:45pm.. I felt bad for the delivery guy, went home after canceling my appointment, received the item. On the following Monday, I got a call from the delivery coordinator stating that she is calling to arrange a delivery for the item which was already delivered on Saturday. Heather Jester was our guide and inspiration. With only a copy of a floor plan in hand, Heather was able to understand our aspirations and provide the perfect design suggestions (for both key furniture items and complimentary accessories) that completed our apartment and immediately made our new home exceptional. I am reading the reviews and I understand that some people had trouble with the policies of Arhaus, but they like the design of their merchandise. There is no question that their furniture is beautiful and current. All pieces look sturdy and well constructed. I am writing to say that in my experience, the complaints of under-performance could not be further from the truth. I recently purchased a sectional and a table. My sales person, Cheryl Jones was amazing, patient and addressed my every concern. I am by nature indecisive and Cheryl made my decisions effortless. I truly would not have gotten this furniture had it not been for her attention and willingness to satisfy my needs. The deliveries went smoothly and my purchases arrived quickly. The delivery men were gracious and the communications were thorough. I cannot comment on the quality of my furniture since I have just received it. It looks amazing and well constructed. I would like to have had more information regarding its care, there is a delivery fee....and they do not scotch guard the fabrics which I understand is their policy. However, all this can be overlooked when you have the assurance that the person who took the time to care and had the patience to endure the changes and indecisiveness ( Cheryl ) was doing back-flips to accommodate. I rarely put yelp reviews unless it's exceptional service or the worst experience and my experience with Arhaus was the worst since November. We ordered firm sofas but received extra firm (specifically advised by our consultant not to get extra firm due to back issues). Secondly, there was a lack of communication as to how the measurements could be +/- 2" off, and when you place the initial order you cannot cancel an order since if you adjust the firmness level as it is then considered a "special order". If you decide to purchase furniture from Arhaus, please be certain to ask " Is this special order?" Make certain you love the purchase because you cannot back out purchase and have to deal with the same issues I am currently going through. I could not agree with fellow Yelp reviewer Danielle more below because this sums up the experience I have gone through since after making the purchase and still currently dealing with customer service in fixing the mistake at store level with Heather and upper management. Basically, nobody wanted to address the complaint and dismissed the issues until the sofas arrived which could have been prevented. Even though I had a great experience with Interior Specialist Andrea when I was selecting and placing my order, I am very disappointed by the customer service at Arhaus following the processing of my order! I never received an update regarding delivery changes made to my order due to lack of inventory! I was told the delivery would take weeks and it turned into months. Delivery of missing items is still pending and I am told I may have to wait 3 additional months! I called the store several times and was contacted by the warehouse only to be redirected to the store and be greeted by the same automated welcome message. Order remains unresolved. read more

After spending over 20k in this store, they have the audacity to continue to send bills for $200 saying the account isn't satisfied. If it wasn't satisfied, why was I allowed to walk out of the store with furniture, and furniture be delivered. The customer service of the entire company is appalling. Once you commit to the purchase, you don't get any response from your sales person - no follow through on inquires. Customer service never calls back when you try to resolve the account. The couch we purchased doesn't connect right, I went into the store and was told by Heather she would put in a service ticket- she never did. The arm of one custom chair, the wood is split. No follow through yet again. Now, trying to resolve this issue, after being given an itemized statement saying account is resolved - I still get a bill, and the sales woman changed her tune now that we still owe money. Really cant express how disappointed I am with the customer service end of this store. First off, my wife and I looked at the couch we eventually purchased on more than 2 separate occasions and each time we were greeted by a different sales associate. This created a very uncomfortable situation when we eventually purchased because there were clearly issues between them with regards to commission. Additionally, we were first quoted a price for the couch that included a friends and family discount only to have the discount taken away at sale time since it did not apply to the couch we wanted. After a prolonged waiting period we were notified that the couch was ready to be shipped from Ohio and would be delivered to us a week later. Knowing our new couch was coming we sold our old couch on Craigs list since we assumed we would have something in a few days later. When we did not hear to confirm delivery we called arhaus and was informed that the couch was taken off the delivery truck because we had an outstanding balance...We were never informed that this was an Arhaus policy which could have easily been communicated during the first phone call. We then had to wait an additional 3 weeks for delivery because there was no truck to fit our couch onto. To compensate us for this they offered to comp our delivery charge which is about 1% of the price of the couch, we had to argue to have the extra care package added on for our inconvenience We have had the couch for about a week now and it is very nice but to spend this kind of money and have such poor customer support and relations is extremely frustrating. On 11/27/2015 I finally had dining chairs delivered - 4 from new order, 2 to replace the bad workmanship on 2 of 4 of the first order. I needed a total of 8 chairs. I inspected each one of the chairs with the delivery guys standing right there. I held a straight edge to the buttons on the tufting to make sure they were aligned horizontally, vertically and that space in between was equadistant. Well on 3 of the 6 chairs this was not the case. Same poor workmanship on the 2 that were replaced. Once again, 50% defect rate. Just by eyeballing you could see the tufing forming an upside down U instead of being straight across for example. I sent all 10 chairs back. I spoke with customer service and told them I was not going through a cycle of return and replace and reorder. I guess if I do this enough I will get the chairs. However, I told them time again that for $750 a chair, workmanship had to be right, as anyone would expect. I even had an email from customer service sent to me before the chairs were delivered, that if I was dissatisfied for any reason I would get a full refund. Well a few days later, I got email from Laura Robison, Repair and Process Coordinator Arhaus Client Services (T 866.427.4287 | x3032; 7700 Northfield Road, Walton Hills, Ohio 44146) telling me that I would not get a refund since chairs were structurally sound. I pointed out that they were violating their warranty and since they already deemed the poor workmanship as defect and agreed to replace 2 chairs, this was the same thing and per the warranty I could return them for full refund. She tried to make every argument why they would keep then at least 50% of my deposit and that apparently poor workmanship did not matter. I told her if I wanted sturdy chairs I could have paid $50 each. I bought structure AND STYLE. Both counted and poor workmanship on the materials, they buttons and tufting was part of the deal. I am still waiting to hear back. I caution you in dealing with these folks. In their warranty, it states they determine what is defective. Your opinion does not count. In my case their "technician" collaborated my opinion and they agreed to replace the 2 chairs. The "technician" by the way is one of their delivery guys. So they make you jump through hoops and weeks of delays just to get that determination, then months more to get the new delivery. My point is that anyone doing this work knows to measure and mark the fabric so you know where the buttons go and can create the diamond effect of the tufting. I am not sure if 2 different people worked on this and why half the chairs are done correctly and half are always a mess and the work so sloppy. They do not stand behind any workmanship yet they want to be a high-end furniture store. Check the BBB in Ohio. They are not a member. So before you spend a lot of money on expensive furniture beware and be careful and ask a lot of questions. If you don';t like something when it gets to you, if workmanship is poor quality, they give you a hard time getting a refund. It is amazing that this company just does not stand behind anything. They should tell customers up front that they cannot guarantee good quality workmanship on their pieces and it is fully at the risk of the customer. No one would every buy from them. read more

I'm giving this 3 stars because I had both good and bad experiences in this store. Loved working the manager Chris- I ordered most of the pieces from him; very helpful in picking the right furniture and accessories for my new home...I can't say I'm as happy working with other staff (when Chris is not available on phone) in the store who messed up my new orders/ requests or delivery dates or simply didn't know much on how to help a customer. Multiple times, I always had to wait to speak to Chris who seems the only who gets it right. Love all the items I received (dining table, buffet table, tv stand, side table, 2 beds, a mattress, bookshelf, and lamps). I got many compliments on them. Except for the Retreat Deluxe Motion Bed Base which is the only piece I got as floor sample- the remote is not working and I was told that I have to call the manufacturer to get that resolved. For an expensive bed frame, I was very disappointed to find a defective and important part of the bed (it was working fine in the store when Chris showed it to me) and I am more disappointed that the store could not help me further. Delivery time is problematic with this company. I was asked to wait 3 months for my dining chairs only to be told to wait another month+ as there were more delays in manufacturing...I've had it at that point so I decided to cancel my order and order similar-looking chairs at overstock for less than half the price! My chairs also came in less than 1 week in perfect condition! Unfortunately, Chris have already moved on to another store so my new orders were processed by new manager and another staff. I ordered lamps and bedding. I am still waiting for my lamps which I've been told yesterday that it missed the delivery truck again, for the second time (1 month total, as they get deliveries every 2 weeks). Sales rep did further investigation and it seems that my order has not been processed at all! So she's trying to email inventory to get some answers for me...and I also just saw a charge on my credit card statement that was not supposed to be there. It's simply frustrating dealing with people that work at arhaus. If not only for the fact that I love love the Arhaus style, I would definitely go somewhere else to get my furniture and accessories, where customers who pay $$$$ are treated way better! read more

I can't say enough about the beautiful furniture and great customer service at Arhaus. Andrea and Chris are amazing. We've purchased several chairs, a bed, a server, rug and several lamps from them and haven't had any issues. My wife and I discovered Arhaus long before we had a house to put any furniture. We started a collection of nice pieces when they came up as floor samples and now we just finished remodeling our first home and stopped by Arhaus last night. What do we find? the perfect rug and dining chairs as floor samples. The store is a joy for us to shop in and I don't particularly like furniture shopping. We'll be returning here for many years to come. read more

I purchased a beautiful sectional on labor day weekend and was told if I open up a credit card I would receive reward points for my purchase after my purchase was paid off. I am so upset I cannot even go into how many times I have called the store , customer service the bank where the card was issued only to recieve a run around . The amount of the certificate is for $300.00 It seems that one does not know or care much what the other one is doing.The sectional is very nice however I will not recommend this company or store to anyone as I feel customer service is the utmost of importance . I always handle my calls with respect and patience even after be disconnected numerous times. I personally went to the store and waited over 45 minutes to speak to a manager as no one else was capable of handling this. The manager never came as I was told he was busy. I left again with no answers. Good luck to anyone choosing to deal with this company or this store. I never even write reviews as they are time consuming but felt this should be told and known .
