We drove ~30 minutes from Kensington since the Yelp reviews were fairly positive (especially when compared with some of the local mall outlets). Glad we did. The Fairfax showroom is beautiful and Maryam (our salesperson) was professional and responsive. We asked to be introduced to the store manager (Tim) and we were impressed with him as well. We just took delivery of our first round of furniture and are very pleased with the experience. The delivery guys were right on time and very professional (actually wore white gloves and took for their shoes). The furniture was very well packaged (photo below). All items were delivered in tip top shape. The only snag was we needed counter height stools and were somehow sent bar height stools. Considering we waited awhile for our furniture, it's a bummer we will be waiting awhile longer:-) Nevertheless, very relieved the rest of the experience was positive (after reading a fair number of negative Yelp reviews from other outlets). The furniture can be a tad pricy, but the quality of the furniture we received today is in line with the prices we paid (some were on sale for the holiday season). We hope to do more business with Arhaus in the future. read more

It's been a while since I've been here. I have several pieces that I'm still pleased with. I popped in check some accessories like throw pillows and table pieces. One of the staff members approached me to assist me and it was Liz! Liz helped with me a purchase a long time ago when she was at Norwalk! Great piece of furniture and lovely lady. I found some really cute pillows and one that stood out full of texture and just enough pop of interest for my sectional. While their furniture is pricey, the build quality is well worth it. Much better than Restoration Hardware - which I think is the same quality as Macy's furniture but 10x the price. We first bought the Rio dining table with the matching bench and a couple of RH farmhouse-y metal chairs. It's quite a feat to move if we ever do move to another house but I can see this being our breakfast area table for a long time. It has been walked all over by our dog who enjoys climbing the bench to get on top of the table so she can bark at the geese outside the window. It's sturdy and stands her nails on the table top. We also ended up buying our formal dining room table from Arhaus. I believe it's the Tuscany table. Unlike RH, where you can tell a 100"+ table was pieced together by different pieces of wood, the Tuscany table is just one giant slab. No cracks or crevices for food to seep into. Oh yeah, the customer service was wonderful - if you find the right salesperson. read more

If I could I would give zero stars. I bought what I thought to be a beautiful dining table. Table alone was around 2300.00. When I got delivery it was not the same color as in the store. After three attempts I finally got one that resembled what I had seen in the store. Two years later table looks like it's 100 years old! Chipping corners. The whole rim has finish that has come off. Called customer service. One lady said it was because I used wipes to clean the table. One other lady said the table shouldn't look the way; and the final lady said they couldn't do anything for me. But, would recommend a furniture repair. (On my dime). Asked for a manager. He said the same thing. Also told me info for "special care" for there furniture is on there website. Really?? Any how. I will never buy anything there. And for those who need nice furniture go elsewhere! read more

The sales staff is wonderful while you are in the store and the furniture is great quality. once you leave the showroom it takes months longer to deliver now, my main complaint is no one calls you, no customer service!! If you can wait twice as long as they say and are happy with no communication. After the sale and NOT receiving your purchase they ignore you. You have to call the store and hope someone calls you back or you have to keep calling. Beautiful design, nice stores, but the furniture does not last. We have a very expensive Arhaus sofa I. Our summer house, which we only use about 20% of the time. Five years out, the cushions are all shrunk and too flat to sit on-- and Arhaus wants a ridiculous $1800 to replace them. You will regret shopping here. read more

We had an interesting experience with Arhaus and have learned that if you are buying a stock piece you are fine but BEWARE something that has to be custom ordered. A Brentwood sofa and love seat ordered TWICE ultimately were returned twice because the back was too short. The sectional on the floor has an appropriately sized back ( 33") but both times the height of the back on the sofa and love seat was 29" which meant the back cushions did not fit properly and it looked ridiculous. We dealt with customer service (store refused to respond to us) and they did refund payment. Will not be shopping with Arhaus again. read more

I'm a huge fan of Arhaus furniture, as is evidence by my living room and dining room. But I've always treked out to Annapolis to go to one. I literally get my hair cut across the plaza from this location and never realized there was one here. Finally wandered in to start shopping for my next "upgrade to adult furniture" purchase a couple weekends ago. Within a few minutes of walking in I was greeted by a salesperson who asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I explained that I really was looking for a new couch but was really just looking and not in a position to make a purchase for a few weeks probably. She was so sweet and showed me a few sofas that might work for me, explained how the sofas were slip-covered and could be cleaned in a regular washing machine, that the matching chair I liked was available without a swivel if I wanted, and even made me a print out all the items for my reference for sizes and to remind me of my selection when I was ready to move forward with a purchase. I love Arhaus furniture for its quality, simplicity and comfort. I love good customer service just as much. I found both at this location. read more

Oh, how I LOVE Arhaus! This began as a store I'd just walk through, never actually purchasing anything because it was all "fantasy-priced" (waaaaaaaaay out of my range!) But sales. SALES! Sales make things possible. I was first helped by Marnie. She was THE sweetest, most non-pushy sales person I have ever dealt with. She explained things and then left us alone to just look. There is a lot to take in. You can get ideas as well as buy things. So when the time was right, after my wedding, my husband and I purchased a gorgeous mirror that we wanted for our dining room. The mirror was huge. It was damn near as much as our couch. But it was well-made and unique and we knew we wouldn't see it everywhere. We've also purchased a few other things from here, also for their unique quality. I'm in love with Arhaus. I'm in love with THIS location. They know their stuff is expensive. They understand if you just want to look. But when you ARE ready to buy, you'll feel ok doing so because they are super sweet here! read more

I am a fan of Arhaus Furniture for their accessories. They carry some very interesting stuff and one-of-a-kind things to put on tables or mantels. All of the furniture is made of recycled or rehabbed materials. From my perspective (from my years of HGTV viewing) most of their furniture is too unique to add to an already designed room. If you were to decorate around a piece of furniture from Arhaus I think you'd have more options. For instance, I went into Arhaus today looking for some accessories for a table I recently bought from Ethan Allen. I saw a nice looking small chest that would have fit perfectly in my bathroom but the piece was over distressed it would not have been fit with the decor of my house. Most of the pieces (made of wood) are over distressed and have tons of character but are hard to mix into most styles. I do recommend looking around because the staff is very helpful and attentive and even if you leave with something small you can be confident that Arhaus is unique and environmentally friendly with their re purposed products. read more

I love the look of most Arhaus furnature and decided to go well above budget and ordered the Bryden sectional. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful to look at.. the fabric is amazing, easy to clean and it's very heavy and well made. The problem is that is very uncomfortable. I cant imagine how a couch could be more uncomfortable. I mean, how can someone decide that tufting on the seats that's hard as a rock was a good idea. I figured they would be so deep set that I would not notice them.. wrong. Feel asleep with a tuft button in my hip, hurt for an hr afterwards. Buttons get caught on pants and pull off. If an elbow or knee lands on one, it hurts a lot! Now I cover it with a peice of foam and quilts when we don't have guest. Quit selling this couch with these tufts on the seat or make them softer. I can't wait for it to go in the basement and it's not even 2 yrs old. This couch is meant to look at, not enjoy in a family room. read more

I bought a sleeper sofa and end table from Arhaus. The quality is excellent and now that I've had it for a couple of months I can tell that it will be durable too. My wife and I are in the market for a cloth sofa to replace one that is simply worn out and beyond repair. We've been slowly replacing our lesser quality furniture that served us well in the earlier days of our marriage and that our kids used as trampolines and hiding spots for candy and cheese puffs they weren't supposed to have. The furniture offered at Arhaus is similar to our tastes and reasonably matches the direction we are going. We intended to buy but did not for two reasons: 1. The price was approx. double. Granted no one pays sticker price for cars or for furniture unless it's very high end. The cloth sofas here were more expensive that our leather Hancock and Moore sofa. But this wasn't the deal breaker. We figure we could have negotiated a acceptable price that still allows the store a profit if we found something that really worked for us. The real issue: 2. I have never seen a more rude sales person. It was as if she had absolutely no intention of making a sale. Granted, I wasn't in my Sunday best but I can only assume she made a decision about our value based on our casual dress and that was that. She began a lengthy sales pitch and when we asked about a particular specification that was important to us she literally responded, "Wait until I'm finished and I'll get to that" and the woman simply would not stop talking. A little later she asked if we were really there to buy. At this point I think my dissatisfaction was evident on my face. When she asked if she could show us a particular type of sofa with a bench cushion (something I showed interest in earlier) I said "No" and walked away. Lady, I hope you're reading this. You know who you are and who we are. Take this as constructive feedback, you may have had a bad day or this may be your M.O. but either way you're hurting your store. We'll buy a sofa this week but not from this store. read more

Okay, so the store has a bit of a rustic feel to it. Some of it is absolutely beautiful, and some of it a bit scary (like the wooden deer heads that you can mount on your wall). I think that their furniture is very well crafted and would make for long lasting pieces in your home. I will say that their customer server and knowledge of their products is FIVE STAR. While we were there the manager was extremely helpful and patient answering all of your questions. I would definently come back to this store and recommend that you take a look if you need any furniture. read more

I have had more issues with my purchases from this furniture company than any other company I have made purchases from. The quality of the furniture is not what you pay for it. I have had significant delays in receiving items from Arhaus. a coffee table took me over six months to get. Once I received it, the wood below the stone began crumbling. Literally crumbling. I was told that I should have sealed the wood. The blue stone scratches very easily. Again, I was told it was my responsibility to seal it. Isn't that what I paid for. Needless to say, even though I was stuck with this peice, it took an arm and a leg and crappy customer service to get it replaced. Which, took an additional seven months. I also purchased the Addison bedroom set. The drawers on the dresser do not stay shut. The knobs that came with it (the floral ones, for those of you who know what I am speaking of), look terrible. They are tarnished, only after a short time, and I cannot get them clean. They have replaced the knobs and will not provide me with the qualitiy knobs to replace the crappy ones. I was told when I called customer service that "Even if they don't look good, they are still functional". Who wants to hear that?! If you consider yourself a higher end furniture store, you should probably have pleasant people that work there that are not rude and treat you as if you are a second class citizen, be able to deliver within a reasonable time frame and stand behind the quality of your product. I refuse to make any further purchases at Arhaus and I will not recommend them to anyone. read more

I have never in my life had such a great experience with a retail establishment before. Everyone at this store who has helped us with our purchases have gone above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They never made excuses for things that were issues (the issues were mostly on our end) and have kept us up to date on the entire process. My furniture and lighting fixtures are beautiful and I could not be happier. The quality is worth the amount you spend. There's a noticeable difference between furniture you buy from Arhaus vs. other stores and it's worth every penny. Venzy, Hazel and Liz were only a few of the people who helped us and they were all AMAZING! I cannot thank them enough. And can't wait to continue shopping here. For anyone that's interested, we bought the Kipton sectional but bought it in pieces because it wouldn't fit in our house (very deep set) along with the ottoman. For lighting fixtures we bought the Hemisphere Geode Chandelier along with the Hemisphere Prism Chandelier both in antique brass. We also bought the Sophia coffee table. It's really really hard to find artisan made furnitures and even harder to find solid wood furnitures. Arhaus has both. Before moving I started visiting several furnitures stores in the area and the biggest problem was not the sales people jumping on you as soon as you walk in but that the manufacturer were not using solid wood or real leather anymore. Particle board and leatherette (which is plastic) were the only thing carried. Imagine that when I walked in Lazy Boy to look for a couch (because I love a genuine leather chair I bought from them 5 years ago) I was told that the brand doesn't carry real leather anymore. What?!? Yes, only leatherette. WHAT?!? Now, don't think they're giving this stuff out for free, it carries a price tag, but it's priced competitively compare to the other stores and the service quality is higher. I bought a lot of furnitures at Arhaus , my couch, dinner table, mirrors, coffe table, side table, outdoor chair set... and I'm always curious to know what they're gonna have next. My couch was made in North Carolina, it's made of real leather, it's solid and I love the look, it did come with a nice price tag but the craftsmanship is excellent and I love it. Yes, I could have bought a (leatherette which is plastic) couch for maybe 30% less, but then I would have got a plastic couch. I'd rather save up, buy the real thing and be happy. I have to be honest and I didn't originally know this particular store, I saw the signs but never walked in. I actually walked in the Tysons' one at first. It must have been the clear glass, I don't think this Fairfax location misses that appeal but compared to Tysons were you can clearly see the furnitures inside it makes difference, here the glass has a black tint so you can't see inside. Liz (the manager) is the person I dealt with for all of my purchases, I have to say I've been lucky because she's great, you can tell she likes what she does and likes what Arhaus offers. She even helped me carry some of these things outside! She's really great. Dealing with a person that is passionate about her job changes everything, I didn't walk in looking for help or support on furnitures, I knew exactly what I wanted, and I have particular taste on house stuff. She always understood and helped me with my choices. All this talking about Arhaus makes me want to go check out this weekend if there is anything new! read more

Arhaus is expensive, but the sofa I bought from them is the most comfortable sofa I've ever owned! It's become my favorite piece of furniture to sink into! I have always loved the aesthetic of this store and looked forward to purchasing furniture here for the first time when I moved into a new townhouse. I did have concerns that their furniture would work in a smaller space. That turned out not to be an issue as I was able to find wonderful pieces that work beautifully. All of the sales staff I've encountered at this store have always been very friendly and helpful...whether or not they knew if I was a serious buyer. I browsed a lot over the years b/c I love the store. When I was ready to make my purchases, I worked with Venzy in selecting my pieces and fabrics. She is amazing. And she steered me in the right direction when I was leaning towards a fabric that I now know would have been a huge mistake. I did have a 10-12 week wait before my furniture was ready for delivery. In my experience, this is typical for the furniture industry. Especially when you are ordering upholstery. In my case I do feel like you get what you pay for and I have been very happy with the quality of the furniture that I purchased. Best furniture I've ever owned. Dune 4 piece sectional. Cushions are terrible, nothing like models in stores. Beware! I would have written this review on the Arhaus web site but they do not offer a review option. When I ordered this sectional I was not offered any choices in cushion inserts and thought they would be the same as in the store. As soon as the furniture was delivered, I noticed right away that the wedge piece seat cushion was much too flat/soft and called. Arhaus sent a replacement insert right away. The wedge seat is the only cushion that remains solid and comfortable after 5 years of use. I even purchased the extra warranty plan but Arhaus solution was for me to pay to replace seat and back cushion inserts to the tune of well over $1000. This was an expensive piece and I thought we were making an investment in quality. Based on our experience, the Dune Sectional is not worth the investment. read more

In March I bought a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. It's now August and I still don't have the end table, which they say is back ordered and can't give me a delivery date (ironically they are still advertising the table in their fall catalog). And to make matters worse I had to pay 100% up front. Plus I had to be the one to follow-up for status with sales person because once the sale was made she pretty much disappeared. No pro-active status on her part. The people I've talked to at Arhaus gave me the impression that I should be honored to be doing business with them, not that they appreciate my business or are thankful that I'm a customer. I would never buy from Arhaus again and I would most certainly not recommend them to a friend. I'm so very sorry that I ever walked into that store. Never again. read more
