Instead, we spent days calling and following up, received conflicting instructions, and ultimately discovered on the scheduled installation day that our installation had not actually been scheduled and Miss Utility had not been initiated. My wife and I had taken PTO, rearranged appointments, prepared our backyard and canceled plans based on Merrifield's scheduled installation. We learned the job wasn't happening only because we called Merrifield ourselves. Merrifield eventually acknowledged that they had dropped the ball. To their credit, the installation crew ultimately did excellent work. Kevin, one of the owners, personally called me in June, apologized and offered a gift card after the project was completed as a goodwill gesture. I appreciated that and thought Merrifield was taking ownership of the experience. It's now September. The project has been finished for months, and I'm still following up by email, text and phone for Merrifield to follow through on the gesture its owner offered. That's what changed my view of Merrifield. The original scheduling failure was bad enough. Having to repeatedly chase the company to follow through on its own service recovery is worse. We've been longtime Merrifield customers and came here specifically because we expected something different from a big-box-store experience. The plants and installation crew were excellent. Unfortunately, the project management, communication and ownership follow-through were not remotely consistent with the premium experience or price.

Target is located right in the middle of the Mosaic District. You can go around to restaurants, shops, and come here for your groceries. This location is a one place stop for all your shopping needs. I usually stay at the hotel down the street. This place has been a great help whenever I am in town. Everyone is super friendly and everything is easy to find. On the first floor there is a gelato shop which always has long lines. On the other side there is an entrance to Rasa. You can grab a quick bowl of Indian food to fill you up. If not, as soon as you go outside there are several restaurants filled with large crowds. This is a fun place to hang out. The Mosaic District is a great place to spend your weekend. I love this place and make sure to come here whenever I can.

Shortly afterward, we overheard them laughing about the fact that we had believed them. This behavior was highly unprofessional and demonstrated a lack of honesty, respect, and customer service. Customers should be able to trust that employees will provide accurate information and assistance when needed. If employees are intentionally misleading customers and then mocking them afterward, it reflects poorly on the store and the Target brand. I hope management investigates this incident and takes appropriate corrective action to ensure customers are treated with professionalism and respect.
