This food is delicious and the service is a 10/10 and I don't know what Ambiance means

I have not found a restaurant that I could say with certainty that I will return, but this one, goodness, this one is amazing! First things first, the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is pleasant and polite. The food, I cannot even describe how amazing and fresh it tasted. I ordered the tostones and my palette was in love. Then I ordered, the empanadas and finished it off with Arepa Padallon and good god almighty...all my senses were rejoicing. I strongly recommend this place. Probably not the a location for small kids because the restaurant is kind of small, but definitely a date lunch or date night. read more

This is definitely a restaurant I will be revisiting! Right when my wife and I walked in, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. The woman at the register was very kind and even took the time to explain everything on the menu to us. We made it pretty obvious this was our first time ever eating Venezuelan so she asked good questions about what we liked to ensure we found the right thing to try. To start, the appetizer was amazing (Tostones). The plantain chips were made in-house and looked beautifully arranged on the plate (not to mention they tasted incredible!). For the main dish, I had the La Parrillita. The portion size was incredible for $10, and honestly my wife and I could have shared one dish! It had steak, chicken, fried yuca, avocado, and cheese. Their agua fresca de Piloncillo is SO DAMN refreshing and I guarantee your tastebuds will die and revive many times over due to the flavor overload!!! The Staff is very attentive and the presentation of the food IS EXACTLY LIKE YOU SEE IN ADS! No detail is spared when preparing your meal and Make Sure to try their spicy sauce, it has a good kick. I've never tried arepas before...they are so good! This is located inside a gas station, which does not bother me. They have the area very clean. The staff is super friendly. I did have to wait longer than I wanted but I could see they were cooking my palate fresh so I didn't care. read more

Loved this place! Very crowded, clearly a popular place. We had the tostinos for an appetizer, really delicious. For our main course we had the Llanera arepas and the Pabellon, really unusual and tasty. I wanted to go back and eat there again today, but they're closed on Sunday! Staff was super friendly and really on it. The proprietor came by to speak with us, says they will be moving soon. Perhaps to a bigger location? First time ever trying Venezuelan food. The food was really good. The restaurant was small and most of the seats were taken but I found a single table that was available. After I ordered I waited for someone to come clean my table. The man that took my order started cleaning off the table to my left then went to the table to my right to clear empty plates and ask the customers if they needed any to go boxes. Before he walks to the back I ask him if he can clean my table before my food arrives and for a cup of ice for my soda. He said that my server will clean my table and get me a cup of ice. I am Hispanic so it's weird to think that he was racist but I felt this way. I ended up telling him that I would like to take my food to go. I can't say he was rude to me but even during the time I placed my order he did not make me feel welcomed. I was feeling very uncomfortable so taking my food home was the only way I could enjoy my dinner. read more

Just another recommendation to get over your fear of eating in a gas station, and try this place out. It's more of a lunch counter that happens to be in a Shell station. They've got three tables and some space at the counter, so chances are you'll be able to dine in. The food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and wants you to have a good experience. This was our first time having Venezuelan, and they walked us through the menu and options. One of us was vegetarian, and they helped come up with some very delicious meatless options (in addition to the Tostones, which are vegetarian by default). You can buy some of their drinks, including "Colombiana," which is something I'd never had before. Alternatively, you can buy whatever from the attached convenience store (but I'd imagine no alcohol). I had the chicken avocado salad on the arepa, and it was incredible. I'd recommend the garlic sauce. I agree with the one comment in that the "hot" is just that. I'm from south Louisiana, and it was still surprising how much it kicked. Seriously, give it a try. It's inexpensive, fresh, and very delicious. read more

We ate at the new location with new expanded menu items. My husband got a new item: Caribena with shrimp, red bell pepper, onion and it was awesome. I got the Domino which is black beans with white fresh cheese, cilantro and their awesome garlic sauce. We loved this place before the move but now we really, really love it.
