It doesn't seem like they move around too much and are instead generally set up in a parking lot off Madison Boulevard with a few other businesses. They keep their FB page regularly updated and often run specials with Puerto Rican dishes that are often hard to find commercially in town. The trailer is small and a little nondescript so I missed it at first. There are one or two small folding tables set up in front of it but it's mostly a carryout spot. Customers were ordering in both English and Spanish but the employees/owner (?) had no trouble navigating either language. I didn't want a huge lunch and they specialize in more snack-ish type items anyway, so I ordered one beef and one chicken empanada, an alcapurria, and a stuffed potato bite. It was super hot so I also asked which of the Puerto Rican drinks was their favorite; the employee directed me toward a cola champagne so I got one of those as well. The food was cooked fresh and service was very pleasant and friendly throughout. They even offered for me to wait in my car and they'd bring my food to me, but I was content to stand by the truck. I took my goodies back home to split with my husband and we were quite happy. The only item I didn't like was the champagne cola but I truly had no idea what to expect on that front and if I'd known more about what it was I probably would've gotten something different. It was cloyingly sweet and a little flat and definitely not like the colas we have in the contiguous United States, lol. It reminded me of a cream soda, which I historically don't like. Anyway, that aside, I mostly liked everything else. My least favorite item was the stuffed potato; it was okay but I probably wouldn't order it again. It was a little on the greasy/blander side. The alcapurria was also a little greasy but had great flavors and I was glad to try a new-to-me food. The kind of crispy and crumbly texture was enjoyable and the meaty filling was rich and savory. The empanadas were the best! We couldn't decide which one we liked more (leaned slightly toward beef). Both were absolutely loaded with fillings. The chicken one had so much flavor and was so juicy and succulent. The pastry/shell part was delightfully flaky and crispy. The beef was filled with unctuous meat and subtle spice. Awesome empanadas! Definitely worth a try to nab some Puerto Rican food in the Huntsville/Madison area.

One of the workers was really helpful in explaining how the menu worked and what the items were. I went with some of his recommendations like the Malta India beverage and the Veggie empanada. The food is served within 5-10 minutes and is hot. The empanadas are flaky. My pictures don't do all the empanadas justice. There's a little seating near the food truck. I ordered the following: Churro Cheesecake (3/5): it was visually appealing with a nice touch of diced strawberries on top. The bottom and top were a little burnt. It wasn't incredibly sweet. Veggie Empanada (5/5): The empanada was flaky and wonderful. The veggies paired well. I'd get this again. Pizza Empanada (2/5): I felt like the dough was made out of puff pastry. It was different from the other empanadas. It did taste like pizza, but probably won't get again. Chicken Empanada (4/5): There was a good amount of meat. It wasn't dry and had good flavor. Corn Stick with Cheese (4/5): It had like a cornbread consistency, but was a little softer. The cheese inside wasn't that noticeable. Malta India (5/5): The beverage was malty. It has raw cane sugar, and a real treat during the meal. Makes me want to find this at international markets now. I recommend giving this place a try!

I went to Taco Mama once with a friend, tried El Cazador because the stand on Hwy 72 looked too cute, and went to Cantina Laredo with the hubby for a lunch date. Don't get me wrong, the tacos weren't terrible, but they weren't something I'd crave necessarily. I read about this taco truck during a google search and thought omg this is too good to be true, but it wasn't! I tried it for the 1st time last week with the hubby and was so thrilled. We both got 4 carne asada tacos for $6. So cheap! (I've found that food is not necessarily cheaper here than in CA even with the high wages in CA just saying...) And man was it good. The meat was so well seasoned and they gave plenty of meat per street taco. The only thing missing is some darn Carne Asada fries! I wish that was a thing here! Oh and orange bang. Where can a girl get some orange bang around here? I need my whipped orange creamsicle drink stat! Or whipped pina colada drink! They do have horchata that is a plus! I'm so glad I found this place. I ordered chicken fajitas for breakfast. I am fortunate this restaurant will prepare lunch/dinner foods for breakfast. The restaurant is spacious and gets loud when there's a crowd. Thankfully, there's usually a place for our larger group (6 people) to be seated comfortably. Service is very nice but slow. Trivia runs for a little over an hour and both times our food has taken about 45 minutes to come out, despite our comparatively small orders. My friend who comes to trivia does like the food here (he always gets a beef chimichanga FWIW), but everyone else has now tried several different dishes and not once been satisfied or even just not unhappy. The one shining star has been the cheese dip. It really is pretty good cheese dip, lol. The first time I ordered the chipotle chicken, which is supposed to be chicken in a chipotle sauce. I was firstly surprised and disappointed to see these were small strips of chicken rather than a chicken breast. But that would've been okay...had the chipotle sauce been decent. It had no chipotle flavor and honestly mostly just tasted like sour cream. It was very weird. My parents have tried a beef burrito, beef taco, and chicken taco. They said the beef has an unpleasant metallic taste and the shredded chicken was, according to my dad, inedible. Most recently, my husband got a carne asada burrito and said it tasted so unpleasant he was concerned about whether he should even eat it. Fortunately, no ill effects came about as a result of it; he determined it was ultimately just very low quality meat with an unpleasant texture and taste. My father in law just doesn't order anything except a beer after coming for breakfast once and having a bad time there, too. On my most recent visit, I got a side of rice and beans to eat with chips and cheese dip. The rice had been cooked into sticky, mushy lumps and had no flavor. At this point, I have no idea what to order that might even come close to satisfying my palate. It's disappointing. We may be forced back due to circumstances like our availability in order for us to play our favorite game and have time together. If so, I'll continue to try different things until I can maybe someday find something that works. I want to like this place and wish I had the experience so many other reviewers have had.
