I am never disappointed by Valentina's Kitchen. The BEST TACO TRUCK! I literally dream about her tacos, her tortas, her burritos. Honestly her food is all top tier. I haven't had a bad thing from there. And I try to go as often as I am allowed. The chicken fajita tacos are my favorite and I love that you can choose between flour and corn tortillas and even ask for a mix if you order multiple (you will) For tortas my number one would be the cochinita! The flavors just hit and it's an absolute delight for your tastebuds. I have no bad things to say. And the customer service is always to the nines. I grew up in SoCal and spent lots of time in Mexico, so I take my tacos seriously That being said, Valentina's makes some of best tacos I've had in the United States! Their pastor and lengua are phenomenal (asada is hit or miss) and the flour tortillas are soooo chewy and delicious. Their cheese sauce and salsa are mid. And the only reason why I took off a star is because their hours can be super unpredictable. Make sure to give them a call OR check their instagram page BEFORE driving over! Yum yum. The new-to-me dining experience I decided I'd try this week was Valentina's Kitchen - a cute lil permanent fixture at a gas station right on the fringe of Madison and Huntsville. Valentina's keeps the menu pretty simple, which I really like. Your choice of a variety of meats (roasted chicken, carnitas, barbacoa, al pastor - just to name a few) can be applied to a burrito, tacos, quesadilla, or torta. Pretty straightforward. I love when chefs do a few things and do them all well. You can get bottled drinks if you're thirsty - think I spied "Mexican Coca-Cola" but I didn't order a drink so I'm not sure. You can order at the window or call ahead. There's a couple of picnic tables nearby if you wanna eat there, but considering it was a chilly, ugly day, I took my food to eat in the car. I would recommend eating it quickly, especially if you got a torta like me -- don't want any of this loveliness getting soggy or anything. The young woman working the truck (Valentina, perhaps!) was warm and polite. She cooked my roasted chicken torta for me fresh - and fast! It came on two beautiful slices of bread, perfectly balancing soft, pillowy dough with crispy, tearable edges. The smoked chicken had tons of flavor and wasn't dry at all. Other toppings included jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce, Mayo, and Valentina's "special sauce" - which had a nice creaminess and subtle heat. Be warned, this sandwich can be pretty messy - I'd make sure to eat it over the container it's served in, lol. But it was very, very, very tasty - and I'd absolutely order it again. read more

I will say, purple onions would have probably been better than white onions due to them being so over powering then most. If I could give this little taco truck 10 stars I would! Not for ambiance - it's a little trailer parked in the Marathon Gas station parking lot. Definitely not for comfort - there are a couple of rickety picnic tables in the parking lot right next to the busy traffic on 72 - it's loud and hard to carry on a conversation. But the food, oh the food, makes it all worthwhile. There is a pretty limited menu - tacos, burritos, quesadillas and torta. There is a list of fillings including barbacoa, chorizo, carnitas, shredded chicken and for the adventurous, langua (tongue). Every time I've visited, one or more of the meats have been unavailable but no worries, everything is as good as the next (well, I won't vouch for the tongue. Ick.) The torta is on a large, soft and super fresh roll. It includes a special sauce, mayo, lettuce, pickled onions, jalapeños and tomatoes. I'd recommend skipping the mayo - it just overpowers the goodness of the rest of the fillings. The tacos are small - street tacos so you'll probably need more than one to satisfy your hunger. You have your choice of flour or corn tortillas. The tacos come with onions and cilantro. Nothing to hide the wonderfully seasoned meat. The quesadilla was huge - a flour tortilla folded in half and FILLED with meat, cheese and their house sauce. Speaking of sauce, everything comes with a little cup of sauce - be glad that the cup is little - it is HOT. I've had both the barbacoa and the carnitas in various forms. Everything I have gotten has been amazing. The husband and I usually each get a taco and then a torta or quesadilla to share. This is more than enough to fill us up. We drove by this little trailer for years - I never really noticed it and I certainly didn't crave gas station food. Went there last week and going again tonight THAT!!!! is how great it is. I got all the Tacos my son got a burrito. I loved all mine except two they were to sweet for my taste but came with mild and hot salsa without asking. My son loved his burrito. Hands down the best food I've had in a long time! I'll keep it short and sweet, if you're looking for tacos..look no more! I always get the fajita chicken and pastor tacos. The pastor is amazing. Spicy with a hint of sweetness. Tons of flavor. I tried the lengua tacos and ohhmyyy. Think ground beef x2 but shredded. It's so juicy and flavorful! No words. Just order. However the burritos stole the show. They are HUGE. Well balanced and heavy. My husband always gets the tortas (sandwiches) and never shares so that must mean something lol Point of the review... Driven past this taco truck a few times and thought we'd finally give it a try and I'm SO glad we did. The food was flavorful and very well made. Valentina's Kitchen has the best tacos I have ever had, and I've had A LOT of tacos. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, but the Covid-19 lockdown forced me to put my taco journey on hold. I've gotten steak, lengua, pastor, barbacoa, and carnitas tacos on flour tortillas with onions and cilantro on all of them. ALL of them were amazing. Every single taco had amazing flavor; so much care was put into making those tacos, and it shows. There were plenty of limes provided-- all of which were juicy. The hot sauce provided was also spot on. I've already eaten here twice this week, and I am DYING to have more. Service here is fantastic. I ordered once in person and once over the phone. I was able to place my order quickly and easily both times. The only downside to calling in my order was that I had to call several times before I was finally able to place my order over the phone because of how busy Valentina was which is just a testament to exactly how great this place is. I would highly recommend coming here whenever you have a craving for excellent, real Mexican food. Please give Valentina's Kitchen a try if you haven't already. read more

Pretty much, found an amazing taco truck that serves some of the best tacos. Very friendly service and the lady that took my order (Rosio if I remember correctly please forgive me if I don't remember) was very respectful and very nice. It is her and her mother that work there. The food we ordered is the tacos for $1.95 each. (There are some others that do cost more) I will post the pictures of all we had. Every single taco comes with cilantro and onions. The flavor for all of them was just magnificent. It reminded me my neighbors cooking when they would invite me and my family over for tacos. I'm impressed finding good authentic tacos is hard in the Huntsville area. I use to live in Cali so I'm very picky about my tacos. Most restaurants out here just lack flavor.
