TLDR: Love it. Visited today for breakfast with a friend, and it wasn't busy when I arrived, but was surprised at how many people arrived as we ate. It was a workday, and I thought there might be some breakfast meetings taking place, but the crowd trickled in a bit later as the morning lingered. Coffee options abound. As do smoothies and 'wellness shots' which aren't my thing but if you'd like a shot of healthy greens and a spice I've never heard of, enjoy! I had black coffee and it tasted better than most breakfast shots. They have a wide variety of lattes and other fancy custom options like the strawberry shortcake latte, etc. Ordered the breakfast burrito (sausage) and it was very good. I think I had the hangover burrito before (same thing but with gravy on top) and would opt for that one again next time. I had the strawberry banana pancakes at a prior visit as well, and remember them fondly. My dining companion had biscuits and gravy and said they were good. He is a man of few words. For dinner, they have a great menu that is 'latin flavors' as they say - everything from traditional Mexican food you'd find elsewhere to Argentinian options and more. They have great food. On a nice day, the patio is great other than the street traffic noise. This is a great option if you're wanting to get away from the other Mexican restaurants in town but still want something along those lines.

The two people running the truck were friendly and efficient overall. We were pleased to find that they accept credit cards (I guess that's getting to be the standard, but you still find a stinker from time to time that only accepts cash). Both arepas were hot and tasty. I had the chicken arepa and it was assembled fresh on the spot. I have no idea what an arepa is supposed to be but the tortilla/shell thing around it was very moist and spongy. It was a different texture than what I was expecting, but I really liked it. The chicken was well flavored and the cheese complemented the whole thing well. After I finished eating, I inquired as to why they don't layer cheese and meat rather than just adding the cheese to the top. She said that is the more traditional way to do, so they prefer to stick with that. Works for me. Maybe give this food truck a try for yourself before passing a final judgment. I think Juancho's has a good thing going as far as late night food options in Bloomington.

Apparently, Venezuelan Cheat Meal is from Westfield, but you can find this food truck all over central Indiana. Like a lot of food trucks, they are super active on social media (Instagram). My husband discovered this place when he was perusing on Google Maps looking for something else. This was the happiest accident and I could not be happier we visited. I am from Venezuela and this is place is legit. They have foods that other Venezuelan places in the area don't offer, and varieties that are authentic and far better (the empanadas!!). I got the mandocas (plantain and corn horseshoe-shaped fritters), cheese and potato pastelito (like a cross between a pizza pocket and a pierogi, but better in every way), arepa pabellon, and a beef empanada. Everything was sublime. These empanadas are different than ones you may be used to, since they are corn based instead of wheat based, making them many levels better than you can imagine. It was very nostalgic experience. Even without the nostalgia, the food is that good, and so worthwhile heading over here. There's so much more on the menu I wanted to try. Guess I'll have to come back! The staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere inside was joyful, with beautiful murals. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

The Venezuelan Chicken Bowl is a favorite of ours with the fried plantains. The chicken is tender with a ton of flavor, and not overly spicy. You just can't find these flavors anywhere else. The Mexican Bowl was also delicious with the fresh pico and avocado. The kidney beans taste amazingly fresh. The beef is delicious. We took home plenty of leftovers. The service is friendly and food comes out hot and quickly. The small dining room is upscale fast food and there is a patio with tables. I highly recommend a visit. I'm hooked!
