When we originally joined, our family membership was around $280/month, and we were under the impression that our rate would be grandfathered. Since then, our dues have continued to increase and are now approaching $450/month for our family of three. I understand that costs increase over time, but when membership dues increase this significantly, I also expect the services and amenities included with that membership to remain consistent--or improve. Instead, I was just informed after my spin class that Life Time Frisco is eliminating spin classes altogether. This is extremely disappointing because spin is one of the primary classes I regularly take, along with yoga and strength training. The variety and quality of classes have always been a major part of what justified the cost of our membership. There have also been other frustrations. This summer, we went to the pool on a Sunday afternoon expecting to be able to order food from the café, only to find it closed with no one working. There have also been multiple occasions when the dry sauna has been out of order. Any one of these things by itself might not seem significant, but collectively they are frustrating when a family is paying nearly $450 every month. We've remained loyal to Life Time for years because we have genuinely enjoyed being members. However, other gyms have continued to reach out to us, and at this point we are seriously considering whether it makes sense to switch to somewhere that provides more value for the price. When the price of a premium membership continues to increase while services and amenities are being reduced, it's difficult not to question the value. I really hope Life Time Frisco listens to its long-term members and takes a serious look at whether the experience being provided still matches the premium price being charged.

He also doesn't start the class until 7-8 minutes late every single week, and then proceeds to spend another 10 min talking quietly, about things the kids don't even care about. It's such a waste of time. My son, who has done soccer through another program, is also in gymnastics, has NEVER had a problem with listening, now hates soccer and hates going to soccer class. I've asked the other parents in our class what they think and they agree. Their kids are unimpressed and so are they. We are so disappointed and definitely will not be returning.

From my experience, the one-star reviews don't reflect TFA at all. If you join a competitive club wanting to get better, you should expect your coaches and teammates to challenge you and hold you accountable. Some negative reviews seem to come from frustration with those expectations rather than a true representation of the club. I'm extremely proud to swim for TFA and genuinely wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Review for Anytime Fitness -…read more As someone who travels the country and visits various Anytime Fitness locations, I've come to expect a certain level of quality--but this location was a major disappointment. First, management was nowhere to be found during business hours. I was there for two hours and never saw an employee. I spoke with others and they said the manager is rarely there. I did not see coaches or cleaning crew either. The door didn't latch properly and I was able to walk right in. Does this location even care about the security of its members? I question whether the camera system works or is even installed. (Usually you can see a screen in the office but I did not see one.) I would be worried about late night workouts. Also, I saw two other people come in, interested in membership, have to leave because no management was found. The gym itself was filthy--trash cans were overflowing, the windows have spiderwebs on the inside, and the advertising on the windows were dirty, curled up along the edges and also blocked natural light. It gave the place an unwelcoming, neglected feel. On top of that, the men's shower area was in terrible condition--the bench was broken in the down position which makes showering impossible, and the shower curtain was downright gross. The toilets, sinks and shower look as if they have not been cleaned in months. Even the walls and floors were scummy. Broken mirrors. Dirty windows. If there's a Covid-25 outbreak, this place might be ground zero. There were plenty of machines available since there were only a couple of other members. The place feels abandoned. So two stars cause I was able to get a workout without waiting. Overall, this gym needs serious attention. The Anytime Fitness brand is usually dependable, but this location is not up to standards. I hope management takes action to clean up and improve security, but for now, I wouldn't recommend stopping here. There's a Gold's Gym a block away and several other fitness centers in the area.

I don't usually leave negative reviews but this happened a few months ago and it still bugs me, so…read morehere we go. I went in for the free trial workout, and it was a joke. At most places the free trial actually gives you an idea of what you'll be doing if you join and how challenging it would be, but after this one I actually still had to go to the gym afterwards to get a workout in. They left me alone on the treadmill for 10 minutes of cardio and then gave me one set of reps on a total of 4 super basic exercises to see where I was at physically. It took less than 20 minutes and I spent less than 10 of them with a trainer. I never felt challenged. To top it all off they never gave me any info about my results, or what future workouts would entail, or how they would get me to my goals. If they had given me anything tangible I may have forgiven the lack of initial challenge, but instead they gave me a sheet of expensive packages and asked me what I wanted to sign up for. I'm in pretty good shape already, so I'm not sure if they thought I wasn't worth the time because I don't have hundreds of pounds to lose, or what, I was just shocked that they didn't really seem to care to sell me on why I should join or give me a good initial experience. After leaving I was super bummed because I felt like I could've loved this place. I ended up joining a different company's program instead.
