This was an amazing experience. I ordered my new 9mm online through Sportsman Outdoor Superstore and they provided me options on where I wanted it shipped to. I selected Area-15. I am so happy I did! It's probably not everyday they have a blonde chick with a "camo is the new black" shirt on and the only other "person" with her is a toy Pomeranian named Mimosa picking up a pink 9mm. They didn't judge, were so friendly and the shop is tiny but holy smokes! They are artists! Not everyone likes novelty style artillery and handguns however, personal customization to stamp your own is awesome and they do it beyond amazing. When I chalk up some dough I will be back to get a nice new toy customized! In the meantime, I'll just enjoy my new pink pistol :) The husband and wife team that own this place are amazing and so kind. The process for registration was quick, easy and another cool thing is FedEx texted me upon delivery (per my request), Area-15 called me three minutes after my phone dinged! My buddy found this place and had a few guns done that turned out sweet!! And going through the pictures, I was looking at doing a few of my own. I contacted this place through FB and started giving ideas to the owner who replied a few days later. $80 for solid colors for pistols. Then he added and up. I sent a picture of what I wanted and was told $80 for the slide and $80 for the grip and frame per solid color. So to me he quoted me $160.. but after a back and forth Q&A Chris the owner finally got upset with me, because his responses are vague and not specific, especially when I show him a picture of what I want done.. and Chris says, I don't want your business.. because I don't speak cerekote language, I don't know the process, and I just wanted a total price, that took 2 weeks to finally get.. so I'm looking for another business to do my guns. Bought a new 5.56 AR-15 from Spikes Tactical that was just all black but decided to try the cerakote finish to spice things up. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I brought Area 15 a Glock 34 slide that Personal Defense Warehouse had cerakoted like crap. PDwarehouse left bare spots, uneven thickness to the cerakote, bare spots inside the slide, dry spots, glossy spots. It looked like PDwarehouse applied the cerakote while being drunk. Area 15 took the slide, stripped it, and then coated it perfectly to my request of "i want it to look like that gray non stick teflon finish in skillets and pans". They knew what i was talking about and executed it flawlessly. Finish is even inside and out, color is dead on what i wanted. Its a semi gloss factory looking finish. It literally looks like Glock finished the slide like this from the factory! I will highly recommend Area 15 to anyone from today on. I also plan to have a few more firearms and parts cerakoted by Area 15 in the near future. read more

I brought in my garage cerakoted Remington 700 which was clearly poorly done. Area 15 was confident they could fix it and make it look good as new. Well, they delivered and I am VERY impressed. My gun looks better than new and the quality of service and product are stellar. Very communicative, professional, confident, and FAST. Price point was affordable and fair. I took my bi-tone Ruger LC9 to Area 15 a month ago and I promised a review. Promise kept. They told me it would take 10 business days to Cerakote my weapon black-It was done in 3 days and the finish was superb. They have an excellent selection of finishes to choose from and a magnificent display in the lobby. The job and professionalism of the owners far exceeded my expectations. They did an excellent job on a Cerakote finish on my Walther P22QD. My pistol came scratched from the factory. Walther told me the finish is not covered under the warranty, even though the pistol was brand new sealed in a plastic bag in the case. It took it to Area 15 and had a graphite black Cerakote finish put on, it looks amazing. read more

I found Area 15 through Google, and must say I'm thrilled I did. I ended up bringing my AR15 here to be cerakoted in "Desert Sand", and they were able to turn it around on time which is already more than other shops can accomplish. So next, I get a call saying Chris wasn't real happy with the color, so I went in to check it out. Needless to say, the parts came out looking AWESOME. As a consummate professional, Chris still gave me a discount even though I was fully happy with the work, which I used to pick up some extra accessories for the build. I had a titanium SLR muzzle brake cerakoted here and it came out better than expected. The finish was perfect and their customer service was great. Great people to work with. They give military discounts. Took in my custom Savage and they did a beautiful job on the cerakote. Even my wife likes it. Quoted me 3 to 4 weeks and I got the call to pick it up at noon the next day. Priced about the same as everywhere else I looked. Did my XLR industry chassis, including the buffer tube and cheek rest, and the action and the barrel and microslicked the bolt. Keep in mind I have a 30 inch barrel. They disassembled and reassembled all for $300.00. The work is top notch along with the customer service. They made sure exactly what I wanted so there was no mistakes. read more

Chris and Steve where very helpful to me. Brought in a slide from my Springfield Armory 1911-A1 that I thought had a crack in the breech face. They confirmed it and asked that I contact Springfield Armory to have it sent in for repair. Both said they would help with Springfield Armory should I have any problem.
