Best Rust spewing Hot Water Heater debacle resolution EVER!!…read morePat was quick to respond in returning my plea for help. He came with an apprentice and assessed my soppy slimey situation- and promised to return when my pantry was emptied in order to take care of everything. I'm so glad my brother Frank referred me and quite surprised to see I'm actually the first reviewer, here. These guys could solder to NASA specifications‼. Today they arrived on time, both very experienced plumbers were right on task and finished before 2 hours had passed. And, I'm about to hop into the shower and Jump for Joy! Everything is top quality, great value and professional service, they even came with their own sopping and cleaning towels. I'll not be calling anyone else for my plumbing needs- Im so glad to have had this experience and be able to share such a positive encounter with you. They've set an entirely new standard, and im very happy with both their work and their WORK ethic. AND I've supported a small LOCAL business, today

The Ceil employees showed up at 9:00 AM and completed the entire job in six hours. They were professional, polite, and extremely courtesy in all respects. I was recently working on a local job site in Stonington, CT doing IT work and overheard my Forman…read moretalk about how impressive a job A&L Plumbing's work was that he gave me an insider lesson on what's good and what's bad. He told me that in life I might need to call a plumber some day and you better know some basics before signing a contract with someone. He began to give me a grand tour of all the plumbing that A&L Plumbing did on the job site and kept telling me how clean, orderly, and efficient they are. Just from the looks of it, I would have to agree. Being in IT, I know when little things are out of place and its the little things that make all the difference. Let me tell you (not knowing much about plumbing), these guys had everything in place and in an orderly fashion. Properly labelled pipes, state of the art products and from the looks of it, had tons of experience in this area. I work with modern technology all the time and would have to say that when the Forman showed me around and what types of plumbing technology they were installing, I was blown away! I had no idea all the tech that is now involved within this area. I thought the profession was kind of behind with technology and sort of playing catch-up... I had no idea the setup they that was involved with some of the plumbing equipment. Remote-in with your phone to adjust the temperature of your water heater and analyse just about any stats you want? WHAT? Seriously, Yeah, these guys know their S#it. He began to tell me these guys are the ones to call even if I had a small plumbing concern and that they are the most reasonably price contractors around. In addition, handed me a their number on a scrap piece of paper, should I ever need them in the future. None, the less my friend recently bought a house and they happened to call them and they did all the plumbing in their house ha! Crazy! They began to tell me how nice of a crew they are and how efficient they were with the installation upgrades and their requests, that even they recommended them to me. That's twice now from two different sources that when the time comes for me, I will certainly call these guys and have them do all my plumbing needs. I would not feel comfortable having someone else do the work, when my closest friends tell me they are good. Seeing first hand what these guys can do on the job site I was working at, it is certain I will call them. I had to write this review because I feel they deserve a good review seeing how hard these guys work and the quality of work that it would be nice of me to express my thoughts online. Call'em up, it is better than going to the big overpriced box plumbers.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing has a bad reputation for taking…read moreadvantage of people in need of clogged lines repaired. Knowing this already reluctantly I called as they were answering(they are good at that) when no one else was. They came out for an hour on a hot hot day and tried to upsell me to 3000.00 to " get the results I might want" Pulled a wet wipe out poking a while through the clog. Never checked the flow through the pipe, I watched them as they closed it up and said: "there is not a guarantee on this because there was a tree 20yards away". They charges 695.00$ for a job they did not do; it backed up again into the house causing major damage and another company came on the next day and pulled out a big paper towel clog and fixed it in two hours for 400.00 WOW they tried to extort $ for a 3000.00 ream out that is now done and flowing like Niagara into the tank for 400.00 These people take advantage of people in need and will even lend the money to you too !!!

When I reviewed the itemized costs, they broke down the costs as being ~$750 dollars in labor. That $750 is further broken down into two men working 4 hours each, from 10 am- 2 pm. In addition, I paid for a "smoke test" $150, which they had to come and do a the next day. First of all, they arrived well after 10 am the first day, the second guy arrived close to 11 am. They left ~15 minutes before 2 pm, so their costs for labor are off. Additionally they told me the next day that they would come at 10:30 to perform the smoke test (which I had already paid for the day before). At 11:10, I called their office and asked where they were. The wife is the secretary. She asked me who I was, and she made a comment "you are the person who's furnace my husband cleaned yesterday, he was so dirty when he came home." Lady, your husband cleans furnaces for a living and he charged me over $1,000 yesterday, he better have gotten dirty. These guys are crooks, find someone else!
