Do NOT come here if you are in any kind of hurry. It literally took 15 minutes to pump 20 gallons. I thought I was overreacting the first time, the second time I chalked it up the pump, but this time I LITERALLY timed it. Also, each time I went to a different pump. I'd say it was some weird method of getting people to buy stuff at the convenience store but after I heard the click I noticed that the pump had OVERFILLED my tank and gasoline had spilled all over the ground. I didn't even know that could happen given the strict requirements around pumping gas. Regulators and/or Lawyers would have a field day with this place. The lack of maintenance is quite possibly negligent. Who knows how much money these pumps have taken from customers. Not to mention the environmental impact. read more

As most others have already stated. Find a other gas station to go to. The bait and switch, price gouging when it's convenient and the consistent expired products on the shelves are just beyond unacceptable. They should be audited by corporate to show how poorly ran this facility is. Unfortunately the owner takes no pride, consideration, or has any idea of customer service. I go to this ARCO a lot. It just happens to be the cheapest gas near my house. But the customer service is bad, its dirty, not kept well stocked. 3 times now I have gone there and gotten the Horchata fountain drink and every time just water comes out, because they don't restock it. They charge you for just water. And I get really sick of it. So I asked the employee, can you please run to the back and switch it to a new box of the Horchata mix because its empty. The employee told me he is not allowed to go to the back because I might steal something. That's obviously a total lie because at some point employees will have to walk away and use the bathroom. You are telling me they must man the register at all times and can't even use the bathroom? This was obviously a very lazy employee who didn't care about helping a customer and made an excuse to avoid it. My other issue about the employees being lazy and the place being dirty is the water for cleaning the windshields. The water is either filthy or empty or mostly empty AND filthy. And Im not taking about by the end of the day. Im taking about in the middle of the afternoon. Obviously the lazy employees just dont want to put any clean water out for customers. Today I was there going from one row to the next to the next, trying to find any clean water to wash my windows. But nope. There was an apple bobbing in the water in one, there was napkins all thrown in the water in the next. Yes I know your gas is cheaper by a few cents so a lot of people go here. But please stop being so lazy. If a customer asks you for help, dont make lame excuses why you can't help them. Refill the water for the window washing. Stock your fountain drinks properly. read more

This station is ALWAYS out of receipt paper at the pump, so you have to go inside the store if you want a receipt. Defeats the point of pay-at-the-pump convenience. And with 12+ pumps and the AM/PM store inside, there's ALWAYS a line at the register, so you'll have a wait to get your receipt when you go inside! I go to the ARCO Am/Pm on Portola Parkway in Lake Forest, CA nearly EVERY DAY. I like to get a freeze, but I have my own bottle. In other words, I like to get refill freezes. The problem is, you don't offer refill freezes. Most of the employees at that station have solved the problem themselves by either charging me for a large freeze (my suggestion) or charging me for a +32oz refill soda. But there is one cashier in the store that SERIOUSLY HARRASSES me about it every time she is my cashier. Today she said, "This is THE LAST TIME I will do this for you. We DON'T DO REFILL SLURPEES HERE." I leave frustrated and upset every time we have an interchange. I have explained to her numerous times that I don't care what she charges me. But I don't NEED a cup. She refuses to solve the problem. Today she said, "Just get a refill SODA instead." My response to her was, "No. I will just stop coming to your store." I like the store, other than her. It is on my way to work, and I often get fresh-baked cookies (along with my freeze). And I share them with friends. I buy ALL of my gas there. I don't want to stop going here. It is convenient, clean, well run, offers good products. But SHE needs to be better trained on how to solve problems. read more

Got an icee today when is came out of the machine majority of it was just liquid. Could only take about 2/3 sips and then I all of a sudden was met with brutal stomach pains, and threw it up for about 20 min‍ tasted like pure concentrate. This station is 0 stars, but that's not an option so they get a 1. Here's why: 1. Inconvenient- can only use debit card, and at least one pump (11) does not have a functioning card reader so you have to go inside and wait in line to pay 2. Expensive-- I would expect that if I am going to pay $0.35 just to use plastic, that the price of gas would offset it. It doesn't. Today we drove by another station less than 1 mile away, and the price was $0.03 MORE expensive per gallon. Unbelievable. Drive a little further, save money and time. read more

I drive or stop by this ARCO station nearly every day and their gas prices are without a doubt the lowest in town, along with the location being one of the most convenient convenient stores in the city. It's also one of the largest, most organized and clean AMPMs I've ever set foot in. The food mart has everything you may need from quick snacks to DOT 3 brake fluid and the pumps and amenities are always meticulously maintained...The folks who run this place on a day-to-day basis are real pros; the Lance Armstrong wannabes and degenerate lotto gamblers who frequent the foyer are not. My first review of a gas station. Wow. All I can say is that the gas prices at this location are always competitive (usually lower prices than most) with other gas stations within a 5-8 mile radius. Probably the closest price competitor is USA Gas about 1-2 miles away, but I usually find them to be the same or similar. My beef (minus 1 star) is the 35 cent mandatory charge for using an ATM debit card. read more

Ive always had good experiences here. Always really clean inside and out. Customer service can be a little slow some times. But overall they doba good job. Seems to always be the same 3 employees working there. So thats a good thing. Hot food is good and fresh, iccee machines always working. And they keep a good stock of everything you need. read more

I got a call from my bank saying there was fraudulent activity with my card so they cancelled it. The bank caught it beforehand. By far the lowest gas prices in town but also the slowest service in town. Getting you in and out is of zero importance to them. There is usually zero cashiers and you have to flag one of them down. They never have enough staff coverage so staff can't take breaks without locking their doors for X amount of time. This place has horrible management ever since it changed to ARCO. Went there tonight to get gas before picking my daughter up from a church function. First the processing froze when I tried to pay with my debit card and I couldn't cancel...hit help or anything. So hopefully nothing will be charged to my card. Next I drove to another pump to start pumping gas. I decided to walk inside to let them know their other pump was frozen and they may want to fix it or put an out of order sign on it. When I went inside I had to wait for someone to come to the counter, I then told this gentleman about the pump frozen outside and he interrupted me mid sentence saying "I can't help you with that". So I said I was just letting you guys know for your benefit. Anyway I was going through the process to pay for my soda, and the cashier wanted to charge me another .35 fee! I already paid a .35 fee for the gas I was pumping! Seriously! I said just for the soda?! He shook his head yes...so I just said Forget it! And walked away! Guy was rude the whole time. Never will I go here again! I will drive out of my way and pay more gladly for better customer service. read more

I shop here quite often. Great deals, decent service. I was helped by Fernando today. He was very rude and obnoxious. He messed up my order and didn't want to admit fault. He would not correct his mistake and was forcing me to pay more money. I told him i wanted to talk to the manager and he simply said "why". I told him i wanted my money back and he gave me hell. This pathetic associate Fernando has personal issues that he brings to work and he is the type of person that plummets franchises to the ground.
