New staff, i can see a big change of the interior, more clean and organized. Gas price is fair and everyone wants it, that's why it gets a bit busier sometimes and hard to get out, but guys if you need to save money ARCO is the best. read more

Used to be such a great value I didn't much care about the upkeep or debit charge. But now the price is no cheaper than can be found elsewhere, but the upkeep has gone downhill to unbelievable levels. Not only were the bathrooms "closed", but they were haphazardly blocked by random looking pieces of cardboard. But more egregiously, the air and water station has been closed and blocked off for quit some time, by the looks of the ancient tape wrapped around it. Assembly Bill 531 Section 13651 stipulates that "every service station in this state to provide, during operating hours, water, compressed air, and a gauge for measuring air pressure, to the public". By not complying, they are subject to a $50 a day fine. read more

This is another company where who would come here to leave a good review? I will be one to help balance this out. Yes, I agree with the other reviews that this place can get busy sometimes, however, you will not find cheaper gas anywhere close by. Also, they have never messed up my money or which pump I tell them to put my cash towards. The next best alternative nearby is rotten robbie on Tenneson. Your better off going cash here, there is a fee (45 cents?) for debit cards. read more

On 11/22/2019 I walked into Arco Gas Station located at 650 Tennyson Rd in Hayward. I gave the cashier $100 bill and said I need a fill up. I walked out pumped my gas and left. I forgot to get my change back . I get home and get ready for work which I was already late too. As I am getting dressed I realized I forgot to get my change back from the Cashier . I get my phone and look them up and call . The same cashier that helped me when I came in answered the phone . I explained what happened and explained I can't come get it right now cause I have to be to work and just hold it for me . He starts to question me so he can verify . I answered all the questions and in the end he says no you have to come right now . I get angry and start to explain again that I have to be to work and that I used to work at Shell Gas Station . I know the system tells you when someone has left change. But I say okay what ever I pull back up and I walk in . It's the same cashier he is still questioning me and after he says okay we still have to call the manager . The manager comes from the back and questions me again . I started to record and as I am recording she snatches the phone from my hand . I quickly reacted by grabbing her hair and putting her head against the counter as I took my phone from her. I walked out and left . 2 years later I am being charged with a misdemeanor and the people from the gas station refuse to clear up the situation . They lied on the police report and stated that I walked in pushed her with my two hands and was able to grab her as she was falling back . Mind you the counter is to wide for me to be able to push her with both arms and grabbed her. I have never ever been in trouble with the law. I have a 1 & 8 year old. And now the manager says she doesn't speak English and that she isn't comfortable . I called the gas station and spoke to both the lady and the owner and the victim says she doesn't even remember a thing. But DA is still pressing charges . read more

This place was a hot mess and a half. Several of the pumps did not work and they were not labeled as out of service. Thank goodness folks were kind to each other... people made accommodations and directed the folks who were at a bad pump so they did not have to re wait in line. I would avoid this station and go somewhere else. read more

I only go here cuz its on the way home but tonight was the straw that broke the camels back! Everyone's knows already that they charge to use your debit card and won't accept credit cards at all (or vice versa, can't remember). Tonight however they closed and locked the front doors between 7:4p-7:50p and forced everyone to use the sliding window that he only opened approx 2 inches. When asked why the doors were locked, his response was a mumbled mention of it being time to lock the doors. Not true and not posted anywhere! I've definitely been to this has station after 8pm. Not anymore.... Time to find a gas station that appreciates its customers. read more

Both my neighbor and I have been cheated by the money machines by the pump. This station has really cheap gas and the shop is normal, but the service is inconsistent. So I have to go inside because I won't use the money machine any more...but there IS the cheap gas...I absolutely HATE the loud all-commercial TVs at the pumps. read more

This place charges you to us an ATM card and doesn't take Credit cards - I think places that do this should be boycotted - speak out and don't go to this place!!! read more

ARCO - Here at the gas station - Gas Stations Near Me - Hayward, California

This is the ABSOLUTELY WORST place for customer service. I arrived at this station a little after 6pm. They had locked the door and was only doing window service. I get it, it's for safety but what I don't get was the two clerks inside were standing there counting their receipts of the day in front of the big window, totally ignoring me, the customer. I only wanted a quart of low fat or fat free milk. They ask me if I wanted blue or red, as they continue to count money. I said I don't know, I want low fat milk. Again, blue or red. I suggested why not bring both and I'll decide. They continue to count money and made no effort to get the milk. I became frustrated and left. This is the same two guys that I encountered before. It was my second and last visit here. read more

I would give it a zero star if I could. This Manager of this business is a Jerk and a thief!! To say it politely. I went in to buy a gift card. They charged my ATM card then said their computer was down so couldn't activate the gift card. I said okay so credit back my card or give me cash. They would NOT do either. Told me to come back tomorrow when the manager was there. I went back the next day. And told me the MGR wants to see me. I work so I called the manager and he basically said - to bad call the police if you want your money back!!! Furious that I just got ripped off!!! read more

Worst customer service by staff. When I went it was all Asian Staff, nothing against the race but this particular crew has a different way of providing customer service. A way that escalates a simple issue into an situation that has nothing to do with the original issue and all to do with the way you are being spoken to, Sorry a$$ crew. read more

To Arco Ampm I always come to this gas station to get gas in the mornings. It's bigger than most Arco's I have been to except for the one in Fremont. The young Asian girl behind the counter is really nice and friendly! She deserves a promotion in the company! That's my opinion of course. read more

The gas is cheap and my husband and I get gas here all the time even twice a week sometimes. But this morning I got the worst service ever. I went into the store, while being audited, and was in a hurry and when I got into my truck I had noticed one of the drinks I had gotten was already opened and someone drank out of it. So I called the store as soon as I noticed it and the manager accused me of doing it and said how did he know I didn't do this all the time and I should've looked before I left. I was pissed. In a car full of five kids I really didn't have time to stop and inspect my drinks before leaving!! read more

they offer a rib sandwich for 1.29 and cappacino starting at 1.19. had the white fudge. was very sweet tasting. after awhile, began to feel sleepy. suspect no coffee was used in the making of the cappucino. read more

SO CHEAP!!! Im so happy I live right next to this place because its the cheapest Arco around!

Stop by the for qa quick full up easy and nice staff gas is cheaper then most of places.

All Arcos charge .45 cent to ATM it. That sucks. No credit card, that sucks but if you want the cheapest gas on this side of hayward, this Is your spot!! If they put back those little gas things that hold the pump so that you don't have to stand outside in the cold to get gas, ill change my vote to 4 stars! (They re added the "thingies") read more
