Jennifer was INCREDIBLE. She replied to my bid request through Yelp almost immediately and was by far the most friendly and communicative. She was the only one who offered to come out and give a firm quote on an accent wall in my living room. We had just bought a house and were going to paint it ourselves, but as moving day approached we decided we just wanted it done before moving. She was the best bid and was able to do the job super fast. She was so friendly and professional, and the work was out of this world. I've painted a lot myself and the work she did was 100 times better than I would've done myself, particularly around the window trims, my mounted TV, and the fireplace mantle. Definitely use Arclight - you won't be disappointed! I plan to have her come back and do another accent wall in our bedroom very soon. Arclight Painting recently completed an exterior paint job on our home. Their prep work was complete and efficient. They had to move, or work around, a number of items on out patio and did so with great care. The paint work itself is excellent. They were here multiple days and did a wonderful job of clean-up at the end of each day, and especially at the end of the job. Items were returned to their original place, with no damage and all debris and work items were removed - if the paint didn't look so good, you would think they were never there. After seeing the quality of the paint job done, I could not help but to write this review so that others will have a better idea about these folks at Arclight Painting. The followings are what I observed from the work that has been done on my house's exterior painting: During our experience, any attachments to my house (such as exterior window rails) were set aside to a better location in order for a more through painting of both the house and the attachments. I believe that it is highly unlikely that other paint workers would take this time. All in all, their work was very detailed and through. Before the paint job, a good pressure wash of my house's entire exterior was conducted, including the house's cedar shingles. Even though extra nailing was not listed in the contract, I found that Shawn had given extra reinforcement of nailing for those shingles that could possibly grow lose during the construction. This provided me even greater belief that the work was done with solid dedication. I greatly value the extra care Shawn has given for his work. Overall, I greatly appreciate what Arclight Painting has done for our house and I am satisfied with their dedication to detail, being on time, and professionalism. This all came to a very fair price as well. When they were finished, Arclight Painting proceeded to clean up and we had no problems afterward. Shawn is not only an experienced painter. He is also a great handyman. His paint work and handyman work is excellent and price is very reasonable, combination of which is really hard to find in painter and handyman line of business. I found Shawn on Craigslist and checked out 3 references he gave me before hiring him to do my small painting job. All the 3 references are very recent customers and had nothing but praises to say about his work and his price. After he did the small painting job, I asked him if he knows any handyman that can do some fix up work for my condo unit, where a tenant has lived there for 8 years with tons of maintenance work left to do after they move out. I need the work to be done immediately after tenant moves out and finish as soon as possible. I named all the work that needs to be done and Shawn said he can do all of them. He showed up on time to do the estimate and provided me a detailed written estimate right away. His estimate turns out to be lowest, and takes the least amount of time. Before him I contacted 3 Yelp's highly rated handyman/contractors. One of them even charges a fee to come out for estimates and they are all soooo busy, that the work will take them over 2 weeks and their estimates are extraordinary compared to Shawn's estimated cost and 1 week of work. Shawn finished tons of fixing and painting on time within estimates. He knows exactly what kind of paint works well on what surfaces which saved me tons of money by painting all the cardboards and cabinets, floor base trims, bathroom heating lamp/fan covers, instead of buying new cabinets, new covers, new floor trims. He has this mild manner, which is a clue of his patience and attention to detail that I sensed when I first met him in person. And his work showed that. Through out the 1 week work, he was very responsive via text, keeping me posted what is needed, and what progress, etc. I will definately go to Shawn of Arclight Painting for paint jobs and handyman work in the future and will recommend him to anyone if asked. read more
