This store is a must for anyone visiting the area. They have a wide selection of antique mantles, stained glass, barn doors and the like. Coming from NYC the prices seemed incredibly reasonable to me. The owner has even compiled a book of ideas for repurposing salvaged pieces like window frames or shutters into functional decorative pieces. There's also a huge variety of smaller items like locks and skeleton keys or glass door knobs that are lovely to use or just display. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. They have a great selection, reasonable prices, and very helpful folks--what;s not to love. The warehouse is chock full of good to great quality doors, windows, tubs, sinks, small architectural salvage stuff, and then just random house pieces (like leaded windows, quirky mailboxes, or bins of bannisters and newel posts. Overall, there are few better places for quality or price in this part of the world for older architectural pieces. I really can;t say enough good things about this place. read more

Went in on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted immediately by a very helpful gentleman. The merchandise is extremely well sorted and organized in groups and the entire store (warehouse) was beyond tidy and neat. Surprised to find an restoration store so clean. There is a great variety and the prices are more than reasonable. Each piece is clearly labeled and priced, so there was no hassle trying to figure out how much something cost or the size. They have a huge selection of doors and tin ceiling pieces, sinks, tubs, wood columns.. a little bit of everything. Great little shop. I made a small purchase of hardware and tin ceiling tiles but I will definitely return when I have more time to look around. Worth the trip. read more

I was looking for a unique pair of old windows and visiting antique stores and getting nowhere. I found this site online and their inventory is so well organized that it was easy to select exactly what I was looking for. I spoke to Valentina and found the pair of windows were still available. I charged them and drove to pick them up within a week. The store is amazingly stocked and well organized. I enjoyed looking around and wished I was in need of another old house part. I bought two drawer handles and when I got home noticed one has a huge chip in it. The lady that works there simply dismissed my request to swap it out for one she had there as i bought 2 and she had 3. She said no returns. If I had known this was defective I would not have bought it--very poor customer service. Rude woman who doesn't care about maintaining customers only keeping her $10. If one person stays away from this place then that will make up for the rude treatment and poor customer service. STAY AWAY from this place. read more

I was SO excited to visit this store today. I found myself in Front Royal for a day of fun with my husband, 3 kids and Mother-in-Law. When we opened the door I thought I had found Nirvana, I was so excited to see all the chippy goodness. A VERY friendly cat greeted us and an equally friendly man, I assume Patrick, introduced us to Rufus. My middle child and little one fell in love with Rufus and asked to stay with the cat. We were maybe looking around for 2 minutes before I heard a woman, who I assume is Victoria, YELLING "are these 2 your children?" I immediately whipped around and said yes they are mine, I was then informed that SHE had VERY delicate items and the children needed to be with me at all times. Mind you, they were still with Rufus, right next to a SOFA that had a coffee table and children's building blocks on it. I didn't see a sign that said "children must be attended" or "children unwelcome". I had been looking forward to visiting this store for a few years as it's not exactly convenient to where I live. I was SO upset but this woman's behavior and lack of customer service and kindness in letting us know that she'd appreciate if the kids stay with us that we promptly left. I had been eyeing a few pieces online that I was ready to bring home. I am so disappointed. As I was leaving this woman finally addressed us as customers asking if she could pull any items for us. Too little too late. I guess I'll look for a new salvage place... read more
