I was back within 30 minutes. He told me he would check it over and give me a call. The inverter, microwave, and refrigerator were fried! He told me he would order the parts and have reassembled and ready to go within several days. True to his word he called several days later. It has now been about six weeks later...we have had opportunity to camp and test the system out now. Everything works like new! I am very pleased with the work performed. Adam Gentry, whom is the Shop Mgr., was a life saver for us.

Two words: Serve.Us!…read more That's exactly what we found upon inadvertently stumbling into Midwest RV. (Long story short: we flew from Ohio to Kansas to look at specific trailers with one of Midwest's "competitors" [loosely defined "competitor", in retrospect]. We learned things about each trailer only AFTER arriving and that would have likely kept us from making the trek. Frustrated, disappointed, and heading back to Ohio from a failed mission, we noted a trailer on Midwest RV's property and thought 'what the h*ll, we can always look.') Two words: Smart.Decision! It was 20 minutes to closing (ON A SATURDAY EVENING), and without missing a beat, one of their SERVE.US (v. sales) reps offered to open up the slides for us to better view the interior. We both hated accepting the offer that close to closing time, but otherwise a wasted trip AND what we had seen with the slides in looked really good. Next-level service: They offered to pull the trailer over to the building, hook it up to electric, and power on the a/c (it was a SUPER hot day). They suggested we go get a bite (with recommendation - the little place d'town was very good!), come back, and they'd leave it open for us to check out how well the a/c worked (and it did). Through calls and text we were able to negotiate a deal with Larry "Bighorn" (owner) on what we're very happy to have stumbled upon. Also, through calls and texts were we able to work with Larry to secure a transport* from Kansas to Michigan. *Rocky, was also nothing short of a kind, cautious and careful, professional. While there were some (unforeseen) issues that arose with the camper upon arrival and habitation (some rookie-owner, some mechanical), Larry was readily available to walk this rookie owner through both. One of the unforeseen issues required transport to a local dealer for repair. When that dealer was unable to return the trailer, two words: Larry.Bighorn. Upwards of one year after purchasing from Midwest RV, Larry was AGAIN able to be counted upon with the constant serve.us. that we'd come to know and appreciate. Not only was he able to locate another transporter for us, but Boyd was just as professional as all the others we'd come across orbiting Larry Bighorn. Midwest RV, Larry Bighorn - his staff, and the transports he was instrumental in arranging - have been nothing short of a timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive group of business professionals with impeccable follow through and follow up. Perhaps evident, but I cannot say enough about the level of serve.us these folks have consistently doled out. This, coming from an individual with years in the service industry under her belt. (Or, said a with a bit more crass - a service snob; alternately, service witch with a 'b.')

The sales experience was a once in a lifetime deal with Steve Bloss and the service after the sale has been above and beyond. Lisa Kent has gone out of her way to help us repeatedly. I can't say enough good things about her. She is an asset that they couldn't do without. If Barry Lawson reads these I hope he passes onto Lisa what we have said. She has helped us when we were at our wit's end and made ownership of this trailer a real pleasure even when it had to be in the shop. Donnie Simpson has also been a fount of information for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Lifestyle RV to any of my friends, or family. They have gone way out of their way for us. If I were to ever buy another RV this would be the first place I would shop...probably the only place. Incidentally, Grand Design Customer Service has really come through for us with their suppliers when they didn't want to stand up for us and replace defective equipment. I don't think you'll ever beat this business, or the products they sell. I'm very pro Lifestyle RV and Grand Design.

We were home after a long stent in Nevada for my husbands work. We had a water leak in the back of the camper. We specifically wanted to get this fixed so, since we had time we scheduled an appointment. Along with other things like lights, electrical, outside kitchen and grey pipe needed some maintenance. They assess and say it totaled (the floor is damaged due to the water leak) we should get a new one... No, we don't want to do that. We have extended insurance which Helps. They say they identify the cause of the leak. They keep the camper for about a month maybe a bit longer. So we pick it up after they are done.. about $10,00 worth of work. My husband and I leave for another job.. we hook up, water starts spewing out of under our camper!! Fixed the leak? Identified the problem?? I think not. Long story short they "bypassed" the water heater and didn't even look at it. Nor did they hook it up to see if they fixed the issue! I WISH I would have taken pictures at its state when we got it back. Nails, towels, screws and dirt ALL OVER THE PLACE! Now, they want to say they did nothing wrong! You didn't do your job! Nor did you check your work so no you didn't break the water heater but you HALF ASSED YOUR JOB and didn't check to see if you actually fixed the problem. We also had a new leak in the bathroom sink where they didn't attach it securely.. they would have know that if they hooked it up again to water!! Don't use these people for maintenance on your Rv or TT. They won't even admit to doing a shit job. They paid for a maintenance man to come out and check it out. They should be responsible for everything but NO they won't take responsibility. So we are assed out money due to their negligence. This is what I got back.. this is $10,00 worth of work.

One of their trailers caught our attention and we found ourselves repeatedly coming back to it. Kyle, a rep from Ottawa, wandered over on our 4th or 5th visit and asked if we had any questions. Not wanting to be subject to some high pressure sales I said no and he informed us to simply call him when we did have any. Well we hung around that trailer for a while discussing whether to buy it when Kyle came back. I asked him to work up a full final price quote (price, tax, fees, etc.) and he did. I then said we wanted to i discuss it further and he left us alone. At this point I had some doubts if this size trailer would be suitable for us I found Kyle and asked if they had a particular model (from the brochure) there and they did. We looked at it, Kyle again workEd up a final price quote, and we decided to buy. That was Saturday; in the past 3 days I've bombarded Kyle via text with numerous questions and he's always responded promptly. We picK it up this coming Saturday and I'll update further then.

They did inform me that they might not be able to get me in immediately, however, I was already at my wits end. I've been to three other dealers that day just trying to get some troubleshooting info and so the service manager, Justin told me to bring it by and they would maybe be able to make an assessment. What really impressed me is that these folks truly do care about your safety had my problem been something involved with a repair of something that didn't involve safety they might have taken a look and scheduled the repair at a later time, but considering I had no brakes on my brand new unit they did stop for just a few moments to take a look and see if there was something that we could resolve quickly and to my surprise, the problem was in fact very simple Justin and his team insured that I was back on the road safely with functioning brakes. Most times when you stop into an RV dealer, they are limited on their ability to help you because they don't have anybody to actually do the work, the folks at Olaza RV center have a large facility with incredibly helpful and talented staff. their primary concern is to get the job done right the first time and not just send you down the road with a patch. If you have a minor problem or a major problem that requires some time to be repaired, you can trust that these guys are doing their very best to ensure your travel. It's going to be safe and enjoyable. Stop by or call and see what these folks can do to make your RV adventure better !

Were told that the roof over the back half of RV needed to be replaced (different dealer issue). Had them replace it and then took the RV to the lake for the summer. When arriving at the lake the AC in the back half of the RV didn't work (I believe because Olathe Ford RV screwed up the AC as part of replacing the roof) and the refrigerator filter leaked to the point that we had to keep a pot in the refrigerator during waking hours, empty it frequently during the day and turn off water over night. (Working on the filter is part of dewinterization). Lived with these problems all summer '25 (incl buying a portable AC) rather than take it back to KC and not have use of the RV for multiple weeks over the summer. Took it back to Olathe RV Nov '25 for those repairs. They said AC wasn't working because of the compressor. Because we couldn't prove they caused the problem (even though we didn't have any problems with the AC at the front of the RV - the one they didn't touch) we paid to have the AC replaced. When picking up the RV they had left our batteries hooked up so they were dead. Walked the interior of the RV; there was a pop can and a bottle of cleaner and a rag left by their service department, the refrigerator leak wasn't fixed and the lighting fixture over the island had been dislodged from when they were working on the roof. They tried to save it was our fault, that it was dislodged during movement - BS. So we had to leave the RV again to get those items fixed. When picking it up in Jan '26, checked the back-up lights on the RV - they didn't work but we know they worked when we brought it in because that is something we check every time the RV is driven. Stayed at Olathe Ford RV to do all the diagnosis, e.g. was it a fuse, checked connection with our truck, etc. but you know what happened - the service person cut the electrical lines to the back up lights when replacing the AC. They tried to say "oh mice in the lot must have chewed the lines" - BS. So we had to argue with them but they kept it (again), fixed it and while they said it was mice, they didn't charge us. It was Feb '26 when we got the RV back. We took the RV to storage for the rest of the winter until this week when we took it back to the lake. When setting up at the lake we find that Olathe Ford RV left all the sewer lines open (it is illegal to drive highways with them open) so while we had emptied the tanks before taking the RV for service, the tanks are never 100% empty so when we opened the RV at the lake yesterday, there was sewage in the RV basement that had to be cleaned out. Also found that Olathe Ford RV had left the propane tanks open so the tanks were near empty (they were over 50% full when we brought the RV in for service) and they had unplugged the refrigerator to work on it but never plugged it back in. While that by itself is a small thing, because of all of the problems we have experienced with Olathe Ford RV service department, we spent over a 1/2 hour trying to figure out what was wrong with the refrigerator because they have screwed up so many things. Over the past few years we have spent more than $20K with Olathe Ford RV for the roof, AC replacement and other prior repairs but we will NEVER take our RV to them for service ever again and recommend that you never use their "service" either.

Update below We took…read moreour class a Winnebago and to get a refrigerator repair, awning repair. And a new awning for the over our door. The refrigerator repair was covered by our insurance company due to the converter being bad. After we got The motorhome back, we noticed that the Top of the refrigerator, touching the trim and it was catching the freezer door as we open and closed it. We called them and took it back down there and when we got it back the freezer door, then was substantially farther out than the bottom of the refrigerator. We called and they told us to bring it back in which we did. After we brought it back in and got it home again we noticed that the guy just put wedges underneath the refrigerator well first of all we got it back and we knew it was uneven so we took it back again and he put wedges underneath the refrigerator and then told us it was level and charge is $50. After we got home again, it was uneven in that the refrigerator was still well. The freezer door was still farther out than the refrigerator door. I took pictures of it just to verify. Now we were on our way to Texas. And we noticed that the freezer part is out even further about almost an inch farther than it was before. My Husband kid pushed back the top of the freezer and it pushes back but there's no way to keep it back or to level it. We are afraid that The refrigerator will soon either go forward too much and then make some damage or we won't be able to fix it. We are highly disgusted with the workmanship. This dealership provided us. After three times taking it back and now it's worse than it was before. We're leaving Texas on Tuesday to come back home and My Husband is going to try to do something to fix it to level it. Also, because it was on level, the refrigerator door won't stay closed upon traveling so we had to buy a child box for both the freezer and the refrigerator to stay closed. Be aware of this dealership/service. Update: Upon advisement of Wilder RV, see their response, we took our RV to another dealership for repairs. One of the issues was the refrigerator that was replaced. As stated above, the top stuck out and was not level. According to wilder, the only thing that could be done was put shims at the bottom to level it out. They said that two technicians looked at the situation and came up with the shim idea to "fix" the issue. After taking our motor home else where, here is what they found. They found that the top mounts for the fridge were there, but were not connected to the fridge they needed to pull the fridge out and attach the mounts and reinstall. This repair is going to cost us $416 to fix. And because they charged the repairs to our extended warranty, we are not able to resubmit that claim. As he stated in his response that these repairs were paid by our extended warranty company so we had little to no out-of-pocket expense, but they did charge us $50 for the refrigerator adjustment. The manager said he would waive the fee if I changed my review from one star to a higher star review. Obviously, I would consider it if the work was done correctly. So I stand by my review. So my frustration is because we had no out-of-pocket expense and it was charged to our extended warranty. They would get paid no matter what. So now again we are out $416 to fix which should've been installed correctly. The other issue that we wanted them to fix was the door handle on the outside of the couch that slid down when being used. They did put another lock on the coach, but it still didn't work after a few uses. The other dealership found there are no outside seals. That added a little thickness and help keep the lock from sliding. They put a silicone bead on the inside of the exterior half of the lock mechanism. They found that screws were bottomed out and not getting any more squeeze on the lock. They removed some material to bring the 2/2 closer together found that the outside handle would not unlatch the lock once in the correct position, they adjusted the lock mechanism to factory specs. That was also charged against our extended warranty. So this is going to cost us $207 out of pocket something that they said they had fixed before.

I was scheduled for a Sealtech test and it took 2 1/2 weeks to complete from drop off to pick up. I was promised it would be tested and then got another call about testing soon and then a third call about testing soon. She sat for an entire week while the techs were at training and it was not relayed to the service office staff who schedules appointments. Then another four days before the test was completed and then nearly another week for repairs to be completed. Nate actually said to me "If I am being honest..." I said I hope you are always being honest with me. I was promised the rate of $99 per hour for labor and was charged $199 per hour which I did not notice until I got home and had a chance to look over the bill. My fault for not looking upon pick up, but I was in a hurry and I trust people in business to do better. Lesson learned. Also, I asked for a marker light to be repaired and that was not completed. Was offered a free drawer latch repair as Nate had "One of those sitting in his office desk" and that was not completed. I was told I needed a new back window as it was the probable cause of the leaking in the back wall, and no photos were sent from the Sealtech test to verify the accuracy. I was told pictures of everything would be sent. I had to call them back two days after being told about the window replacement to ask for the estimate of the window to be sent over along with the pictures from the test. Overall, I am not satisfied at all with my experience. I feel I was not an important customer and my needs were not met. Poor business is being done here! Unfortunately, I will not return to Unlimited RV for any servicing or future financing. They lost quite a bit of business as I would have brought my RV back to them for the next decade (9 years left on the loan) and beyond as they are located right in between my home and the storage lot for the RV.
