He said it would be $400 to test, then about another $1200 to replace the evaporator coil. So approximately $1500-2000 all up, is what they said. Thinking that didn't make much sense, I called Rexburg Plumbing &I Heating after somebody else saved lots of money by going with them, I asked them to come out. Michael came by and plugged in his equipment and confirmed there was no leak at all. The fault was something to do with the TXV Sensing Bulb, which didn't even need replacing, but needed an adjustment, and he said I was using air filters in my furnace that were restricting the airflow too much. It's working great now! The best part is my service ended up costing me $90! Thanks Mike!!!

After one…read moreyear, our heater starting malfunctioning and we were not able to get them to come out and incurred over $1000 to get fixed what they did incorrectly during install. Two examples, drainage for condensation was incorrectly set up and caused pressure switch issues. We had another company from Idaho Falls that came out and fixed it; then the drainage was determined to be installed on the wrong side and we had to have another company come out and fix that. Rexburg P&H should have fixed these items under warranty but refused to come to Driggs. So we incurred extra expense. Another example is our water heater was installed incorrectly - they did not install the natural gas to propane retrofit which caused a CO2 emission alarm. Very upsetting that they did not follow the manual for installation for both heater and water heater, and this was validated by 3 other companies. I would highly recommend NOT using this company for any heater or plumbing issues.

When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

Difference of $11933. Divide by 19 hour means Advanced Home Services charged me $628. hour. After many calls and emails later Advanced Home Services agreed to refund $3000. This brought the hourly wage down to $459. hour. Sorry but no HVAC installer is worth $459. hour. Bottom line Advanced Home Systems cheated me out of my hard earned money and they do not care about anybody unfortunate enough to become their customer. I will never fall victim to these PREDATORS again. They are dishonest and cheaters.
