I was on the hunt for updated sandals and for whatever seemed an endless search on Google lead me to them. The ones I wanted were pretty much sold out everywhere and color me red flagged that this was the only place available. After doing my diligence I did see it was local to the Tennessee area and it did have a Yelp so that checked off boxes enough to make a purchase and although it ended up not working in the end for me I can say I'm a fan of theirs based on experience alone. As I mentioned above I placed an order for two pairs of Nike sandals and I was floored to see in about 3 days my order was already arriving to California. I know delivery issues has been a million dollar situation with the pandemic so I was happy to see at least one transaction go right. The items ended up being unfortunately too small which bummed me out big time and I was dreading the task of doing a return from 3000+ miles away, but I must say the staff here is superb. I ended up talking to Paige (well the wife to coin her credit) and she thoroughly explained the return process and since I was dumb enough to toss out the boxes prior to wearing them I ended up paying a slight fee for the return processing, but hey it's better than keeping the sandals as a swell paperweight. Beyond that all staff that were interacted with were top notch and down to earth. You'd say a true depiction of what the South can truly offer and that is something you rarely see on the West Coast. I do admit the crediting back to my card took a bit longer than anticipated, but if that's the only nitpick I have then at least that speaks volumes to the experience. All in all I am a fan and I have actually gone back to check out the other items they have and deep down I know this is not my final purchase here. A+ all around and certainly not a twist of the arm to shop here at all. Kudos!

Several employees were watching us the entire time. I asked to try on one t-shirt in the fitting room and I guess this raised there suspicions of us even more because once I walked to the register there was a security guard waiting. I felt the energy from the employees and once I pulled out my wallet to pay at the counter the employee looked very flustered. I would never recommend this store because they STEREOTYPE CUSTOMERS. Unacceptable.

My office is not too far from here, so when I am after something specific, in my most recent case, a weighted vest, I swing by this location. Of course, even though I am after something specific, I always browse their gym clothes and shoe wall. The store is well lit, well kept and clean. Service is standard. I am acknowledged on the floor and the cashiers are friendly and helpful when needed. Overall, while I did not find the type of vest I was after, I enjoy this location for what it is, and surely will be back when the need arises again!

They do have a good variety of athletic shoes. Once I tried on the shoes and they were a fit, I headed to the cash register. There were about 3 sales people in the store and only one of them was helping a customer. There was someone in front of me who was also waiting to check out and he too, had to flag someone down to help check out. There was a LACK of customer service at this place. Customers do not seem to come first here. I did ask if they had a student discount and the cashier said no. I thought that was strange for a college town! Luckily, I had my military ID and they did have a discount for that!

Popped in on a Saturday morning after shopping online. Figured be best to look in store before purchasing. The store is large and laid out well from a section standpoint. Everything is labeled, easy to find and easy to navigate. The store has seen better days. After walking around, some sections of the store give off "closing" vibes with empty or disheveled shelves and displays, or products on display that definitely need to be replaced. To go along with that, the floors are worn and stained in multiple places, shelving units are in disrepair, ceilings are stained, and more. The store needs some TLC. While I was in store to look at very specific items, I decided to wander the aisles and look for any deals or items of interest. I walked around the store and through each section for over 15 minutes, and passed by no fewer than 12 Associates and not one time was acknowledged or spoken to. Not that I needed help, but it is wild that no one took one moment to greet a customer, not even when I was leaving the store and passed by 4 Associates huddled by the registers. Overall, the store is not a good representation of Academy, or at least the Academy Sports I remember visiting. From condition of the store to service, or lack thereof, this location did not show well. Selection if solid and prices are not the worst, but without that, this would have certainly been a one star review.
