Jeff was patient, respectful, funny, and genuine. He is an excellent instructor and had us shooting bullseye's in minutes. No questions were stupid questions and he even guided his instruction and our purchases based on our different goals (I want to hunt and my wife doesn't). It went so well and my wife enjoyed it so much we got her set up with a new bow. Thanks to Jeff and all the staff, it was a fantastic day!

At the same time, they DO know their stuff and will steer you towards what you're trying to accomplish. They also sponsor A LOT of youth tournaments and let the kiddos shoot (supervised). I just thought that was pretty cool of them. I went back and Tracy found a bow for my son that is perfect for him for the next 10 years! And he gave me a good deal on it for a returning customer! As with most Dick's, they have a solid selection of sportswear and you can usually get a solid deal on good quality athletic and athleisure wear. My only gripe with this location is the service, or lack thereof. On my last two trips in I was looking for something specific and needed assistance locating. Finding an associate that wasn't on the registers was nearly impossible, and when I did spot one, they seemed to scatter when they felt I was going to approach with a question. On both trips, I ultimately just looked, didn't find and left. And oddly on my way out, both cashiers who were not assisting other customers didn't even interact. The store is kept in good condition and is clean on each visit. Always stocked well and easy to navigate. Overall, not the best Dick's experiences.

I've been waiting for nearly 2 years to go here since they were closed for renovations on the rifle…read moreranges. Not only were the rifle ranges renovated but the ENTIRE site was renovated! The renovations were built using quality materials (thick wood and steel) and are meant for long term use. Montgomery county outdid themselves with this project. Props to the team at MCSC for doing a fantastic job! The road leading to the range is freshly paved and very smooth. Some of the ranges I've been to have bumpy dirt roads to access the area. This place there's no need to worry about any of that. You could drive a mustang out there and not worry about it getting stuck or scratched. I talked with the folks in the office and they were very friendly and welcoming. Friday is the day to go if you want a more relaxed and quiet experience, since it's less busy that day. Saturday and Sundays are usually the more busier days, weather permitting. They do offer a lot in exchange for any volunteers that want to help out, free range time being one of them. I took some pictures on my phone and from a drone and you'll be able to see the scale of this place. No matter what kind of firearm you have, there's a place for you to have fun. The 400 yard rifle range will be open at the end of the month, as long as everything goes according to plan. All other ranges are open. For those of you that are wanting to shoot bows, I did notice an archery range. I didn't shoot at this visit, but I will be updating this review once I have the time to try out every exhibit. I did meet the manger of MCSC and she was very kind to me. I will be updating some of these pictures with ones taken directly overhead of each individual range.

And also bringing my nephews here when they visit is always a win, as they entertain themselves for a while with all the fascinating items and the fish tank! This BP is located in Opry Mills, so I am very selective of the times I will go here as traffic and shoppers can go from 0 to 60,000 real quick. My latest adventure here was to pick up a grill I had been eyeing on line for a few weeks. I finally decided to commit and wanted to pick up at the store after laying eyes on it. Upon arriving, I ask associate at the desk where the grills were and she led me right to them. Once I confirmed I was good and ready to make the move, she helped me purchase and set me up for pickup, which was around the side of the building. While she was super friendly and helpful, the warehouse associate was less than on both fronts. He did not speak a word to me and was fairly rough loading my grill. I brushed it off as I was excited, but it was still worth noting. The grill is a house BP brand and so far, I am absolutely loving it! It is a dual grill with half grate and half flattop, which I had been after for a long time. Cost was decent as well. Overall, Bass Pro Shops is a cool spot to wander around aimlessly in, or a useful spot to visit and get exactly what you are after. Again, while I am not an avid outdoorsman, I can enjoy a good BP visit on occasion!
