I've been a member here for 5 years and this CHMR is in my opinion a great place to keep your shooting skills where they need to be if you ever need them. Charlie and his staff are very friendly yet firm about the rules. Disclaimer: if you're wanting a squeaky clean range with 73957393 rules, their ain't the place. With that said, What a place! Steve was the nicest dude ever (though I wouldn't wanna piss him off!) Nice range. Very convenient for me. However, in 2022 the cost for my typical routine is almost triple what it was in 2021. I was fine with the 10-15% price increases the last 5 years. But even with a membership it's going to cost me $50 per visit to bring myself and my two adult kids when they are in in town for vacation. So for Spring Hill residents, this place is great. Going to shoot in Nashville at an indoor range will cost you $20. The fee for a whole year here is $95. They do lose one star because you don't get credit for joining in may for example. Still it is $95 and you have to renew in January. But I am not sure of the arrangements... it looks like a bunch of volunteers running the place. Even though, this is still a bargain since you can shoot all you want when they are open. That and it is just a few minutes from the middle of Spring Hill. I didn't deduct a star... but I will point out... if you have that fancy new AR-15 you can't go and empty a clip in two seconds. They are about safety first and I guess they don't want rounds going every which way from someone who can't control the recoil. Slow and steady is the rule unless you are plinking with a .22. You also can't put soda cans out there to obliterate... although they let you set out clay pigeons. Other than that... it is a great range. Everyone is friendly and the ones who run the place are always willing to help with whatever you need. There are 100 yard berms, 50, 25, and 12 yard berms. There is also a separate pistol range but you can shoot this pistol at the 12 and 25 yard berms on the regular range. There is also a skeet shooting area.... but don't have a shotgun yet... but it is available. So overall 4 stars and a blessing to Spring hill and surrounding area residents who cant shoot off their back porch. The only item on my wish list is maybe a 200 yard berm. read more

As previously mentioned. This is a great range. You won't find a bunch of "skinny Jeans" guys running around with a 1911 strapped on them, acting all "tactical". What you will find is a bunch of Red Blooded American's having a good time shooting with their family and friends. It's not gonna win any modern shooting range appearance contests, but who cares...it's a gun range. Charlie and his team are great guys. They're always willing to help out and answer any questions you might have. Very unintimidating...new shooters, LEO's, military / Veterans, there's a good blend of everyone. You'll leave here with a few new friends for sure. Follow the rules, obey the commands of the RO and you'll have a great day at Owl Hollow. I'd highly recommend this to anyone. Note: Don't always trust Waze or Google Maps. If you've reached the electrical substation and can see 65, turn around you overshot it by about a mile. Be safe & God Bless! read more

Great outdoor range. Best value in Nashville area. $5 for a day or $60 for a year! Charlie (the owner) is a great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a main range with variable distance static targets. There is a range for private events/classes that can be arranged for in advance. There is a smaller 4 lane pistol pit. Come prepared there are no concessions, a port a potty. Will definitely be going back. read more

Located between Franklin and Spring Hill, this is a fantastic range. Annual membership cost is $90. Members can bring guests for $10. Minors are free. Oldest operating range in the area. Owner is a National Champion shooter and very helpful as he walks the range. Wide range of clientele from law enforcement, country folk, to city dwellers. Highly recommended! read more
