Last resort was so rude to me and refused to help me with this process. They said they first needed to be contacted by the dealership in Alaska before helping me. I chose to overlook it (to prioritize necessities over politics, in this instance) and continue with the process so I can receive my weapons. Nope, these people are simply rude. I had my gun dealer in Alaska contact Last Resort Guns. The Alaska dealers called me right back and said they will never work with Last Resort Guns. They were so rude to another gun dealer and myself as a woman, that I want everyone to know; my three interactions with them were disgusting. And the one single interaction my gun dealer in Alaska had with this shop, left them refusing to ever do business with these people (which is wild considering they are THE ONLY choice in that Alaskan region. LRG just alienated a huge state region to no longer deal with...) Do not call these people, use them for any reason or patronize this place. Couldn't have imagined a better experience if I tried! I initially called to check availability and Wes was very friendly and answered all my preliminary questions. When I arrived, he took time to recommend a rental - the phoenix trinity 2011 (which was amazing to shoot) - and explained the reasoning behind that choice. All of his advice was spot on and he then took the time to explain grip, stance, safety, and answer the multitude of questions I had. He even took the time to let me practice with dummy rounds so I was comfortable reloading and knew how everything worked. At no point did anyone make me feel bad about being a beginner - despite there being other customers who clearly were much more advanced than me. The rentals are also very noticeably well maintained. Since this was my first time shooting at a range and I didn't feel comfortable being alone, he incredibly kindly contributed his time to come in to the lanes with me and make sure I was comfortable, doing everything right/safely, and answer further questions. I can't begin to express my gratitude for Wes spending so much of his time to make this experience once I thoroughly enjoyed. I learned so much and I can't wait to come back! I would go out of my way to come back to this place specifically - it's worth it. Thank you Wes and the team and Modern Warriors for providing a place people can learn and feel comfortable and happy at any level!
