To begin, I am 75 years old and have been shooting since I was three sitting on my father's knee taking rabbits with a .22 single shot Stevens Favorite rifle for our dinner. I have had a great deal of work done by gunsmiths over these many years and only twice found gunsmiths with the ethics of the owner/operator of L&L Gunsmithing LLC. I would like to say how grateful I am for Lynn 's splendid service. Having owned and operated my own service business in the private sector the jobs that come in the door sideways always stick in your mind. Especially when you end up with a good customer that is forever grateful. That customer would be me in this case and Lynn Ryle is the very best gunsmith in my experience. Detail oriented, honest in his claims and backs his work. The finished project of re-chambering and all that needs be done because of that on a non standard M-1 Garand T-26 chambered in 308 Winchester by Lynn is a masterpiece. The rifle is the envy of the AR guys at the range. He will always be my choice for future projects even though he is 2,000 miles from my home here in California. I miss the 30 minute drive to his previous location but have great confidence in his service. Lynn Ryle of L&L Gunsmithing is truly a master gunsmith. I searched long and hard to find someone I trusted with all aspects of repair, modification and maintenance of a fine rifle and Lynn meets all my requirements. By the way, I have over 37 years of DoD civilian and military service in development, testing and fielding of weapons systems of all types. I had a Remington 700 Custom Shop Classic in .458 WinMag that I wanted converted to .458 Lott for an upcoming Cape Buffalo hunt. I could not find a gunsmith in the area willing to take on the job until I found Lynn. Glad I did. Not only did Lynn perform the chamber rebore to near perfection (better than the original chamber), he also found and corrected (upon approval) several other small problems with the rifle. I have used L&L Gunsmithing twice now, and couldn't be more pleased with the work! This is a True Professional Gunsmith. And having used many gunsmiths from 50 miles around Huntsville, NONE have been as professional as L&L Gunsmithing. To be honest I was a bit shocked by the professionalism, as I'm used to "dropping stuff off" at gunsmiths and giving a phone number to call when their work is done. This was the first time I was ever given a receipt for a gun lol.
