Couldn't have imagined a better experience if I tried! I initially called to check availability and Wes was very friendly and answered all my preliminary questions. When I arrived, he took time to recommend a rental - the phoenix trinity 2011 (which was amazing to shoot) - and explained the reasoning behind that choice. All of his advice was spot on and he then took the time to explain grip, stance, safety, and answer the multitude of questions I had. He even took the time to let me practice with dummy rounds so I was comfortable reloading and knew how everything worked. At no point did anyone make me feel bad about being a beginner - despite there being other customers who clearly were much more advanced than me. The rentals are also very noticeably well maintained. Since this was my first time shooting at a range and I didn't feel comfortable being alone, he incredibly kindly contributed his time to come in to the lanes with me and make sure I was comfortable, doing everything right/safely, and answer further questions. I can't begin to express my gratitude for Wes spending so much of his time to make this experience once I thoroughly enjoyed. I learned so much and I can't wait to come back! I would go out of my way to come back to this place specifically - it's worth it. Thank you Wes and the team and Modern Warriors for providing a place people can learn and feel comfortable and happy at any level! A few notable things (there's so much more though, you really have to experience it for yourself): - incredibly kind and welcoming staff; - very wide range of well maintained rentals; - ear and eye protection - earplugs and a high tech pair of ear defenders that block out gunshot noise but still allow you to hear the person you're talking to); - immaculately clean place - like they thought of every detail; - Reasonably priced - and worth every penny!

And seeing them bragging about their Cerakote work on Insta after giving me the absolute run-around really has me pissed. I had 2 guns in for custom Cerakote work. They had them for over 5 months - a job that I was told would take 3-4 weeks. Months of waiting while the guns were "the next one in the booth." Yes, I talked with many people at the store including the operations director - same story, "This isn't the way we do things here. We'll get to the bottom of it." Did they? No. Custom shop doesn't answer the phone when you call. Go to the shop in person on your day off? Tough luck, Custom shop doesn't work weekends and can't be reached by anyone at the range. Finally I took my guns elsewhere. Now I see them posting pictures of Cerakote Xbox controllers and other fancy work on Insta and I realized that they can get work done on a schedule - but only if you are one of the customers they approve of. I feel that if you inform them that you are an active police officer or prior active duty military you'd get better attention than keeping it to yourself.

In town for a week and went to shoot here. 10$ for the whole day. Woman at check in counter was polite. Since it's 10$ a day we took a lot of ammo with us and spent close to 5 hours there. Not just shooting but meeting and talking to some interesting people. Some who have never been outside of rural Tennessee so meeting an outsider from New York who shoots was something different for them. As far as the range there's rifle with points at 50,100 and 200 yards. 2 large pistol ranges, a shotgun pit, a shoot house, trap and I think archery as well. The place is large. So large that you'll drive from the office to the pistol range. I enjoyed it so much there I went a second time. So if you in middle Tennessee and looking for a place to shoot this is your place.

Coming in as someone new-ish to firearms, I expected it to feel intimidating or a little closed off. Instead, I was met with genuine kindness and patience from day one, and I feel like that kind of environment is rare. Robert, Aaron, Tony, and Dave have all been amazing. Not just as RSOs who keep the range safe and running professionally, but as people who truly care. They've taken the time to help me out when I've asked them questions in passing on how improve my grip, understand maintenance, learn small tips and tricks, as well as gain better perspective on things like concealed carry. Every question I've had has been met with respect and real guidance, never ego or attitude. The facility itself reflects that same standard. It's clean, safe, and feels "state of the art", which made it even easier to feel comfortable spending time there. Between the range, the rentals, their product knowledge and guidance, it played a huge role in helping me feel confident choosing my first firearm. This BP is located in Opry Mills, so I am very selective of the times I will go here as traffic and shoppers can go from 0 to 60,000 real quick. My latest adventure here was to pick up a grill I had been eyeing on line for a few weeks. I finally decided to commit and wanted to pick up at the store after laying eyes on it. Upon arriving, I ask associate at the desk where the grills were and she led me right to them. Once I confirmed I was good and ready to make the move, she helped me purchase and set me up for pickup, which was around the side of the building. While she was super friendly and helpful, the warehouse associate was less than on both fronts. He did not speak a word to me and was fairly rough loading my grill. I brushed it off as I was excited, but it was still worth noting. The grill is a house BP brand and so far, I am absolutely loving it! It is a dual grill with half grate and half flattop, which I had been after for a long time. Cost was decent as well. Overall, Bass Pro Shops is a cool spot to wander around aimlessly in, or a useful spot to visit and get exactly what you are after. Again, while I am not an avid outdoorsman, I can enjoy a good BP visit on occasion!
