Coming in as someone new-ish to firearms, I expected it to feel intimidating or a little closed off. Instead, I was met with genuine kindness and patience from day one, and I feel like that kind of environment is rare. Robert, Aaron, Tony, and Dave have all been amazing. Not just as RSOs who keep the range safe and running professionally, but as people who truly care. They've taken the time to help me out when I've asked them questions in passing on how improve my grip, understand maintenance, learn small tips and tricks, as well as gain better perspective on things like concealed carry. Every question I've had has been met with respect and real guidance, never ego or attitude. The facility itself reflects that same standard. It's clean, safe, and feels "state of the art", which made it even easier to feel comfortable spending time there. Between the range, the rentals, their product knowledge and guidance, it played a huge role in helping me feel confident choosing my first firearm. Expensive! But the thing that gives them a 1 star is the shooting range. You better be a marksman. If you're a beginner, DO NOT GO HERE ! They will charge you $5 each shot you hit over their target line. This poor girl shot over line 6 times. That's an extra $30, but instead of guiding her or stopping her, the guy yelled at her and said that 30 for ya !! I only paid $5 , but again, shooters beware if you're trying to learn. read more

I was called back the same day and was asked to come back in. Bill Toy wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase and wanted to make sure my issue was taken care of, and he did just that. He made sure the bolt was properly lubed and gave me a lighter carbine buffer that he took from one of his own rifles. I've put 300 rounds thru it with no issues. He made sure it was firing correctly using subsonic ammo. Thank you bill! read more

The staff here is amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. They take all the time you need to answer questions, and make helpful recommendations. There is a wide selection of inventory, and if it's not in stock, they can order it for you. The prices are also reasonable. The indoor range appears state of the art and they have a good selection of rental guns. I went on a busy Saturday afternoon, and had less than a half hour wait for my lane, the perfect amount of time to browse their inventory. I will certainly be back! read more

I purchased a Sig 320. The salesperson said it was a good fit for me and the price was right so I purchased it. From the get-go I had issues with the gun and without a safety which I neglected to ask about it really turned me off. I fired two rounds and decided I would see if I could return it and traded for something else. The answer I got was the return period is 30 days and its now day 33, so no and no will we not take it back on a trade for a different gun. Customer service then went on to tell me probably no other gun store would buy as well which was slap in the face. I will not ever be back ever again. read more

Manager Retaliated After My Honest Review I originally left a Google review about the poor customer service at this store--then the general manager, Butch, personally called me to argue about it. Instead of trying to fix anything, he spent 15 minutes criticizing me, nitpicking details, and defending their lack of customer service. He never once asked how to improve my experience or earn my business back. After our conversation, he even responded to my Google review, attempting to "correct" my experience, as if I was wrong for expecting basic service. If they put as much effort into assisting customers as they do retaliating against negative reviews, they'd probably make more sales. The retail side of this store has consistently terrible customer service. I have visited many times over the years and have never once been greeted, offered help, or had a positive experience with their staff. Employees ignore customers, stay on their phones, or actively avoid eye contact. I've been in this hobby for over 25 years, and I've never seen a store handle customer feedback so poorly. After this, I won't be returning--ever. read more

Purchased a Century Arms AP5-SD from Outpost and the first time i went to shoot it at their range, I was experiencing failures. I immediately went back to the counter and asked if they could help since I bought it from them. They told me they'd ship it out but i had to contact century arms first. I called century arms and they told me that the dealer needed to contact them since they were the ones shipping it. I informed the dealer of this and they said theyd take care of it. Century Arms was very good at keeping me updated that the still didn't hear anything from outpost for about a week. Finally the gun gets sent out and returns about a month and half later. I go to pick it up and Outpost charges me the $50 for shipping of a defective gun to repairs that THEY SOLD ME. Ive bought many guns and accessories from them, but now i dont think I'll be returning. read more

Basically told us to kick rocks instead of asking for help on a topic she did not understand. It's frustrating when a company hires employees that lack a basic understanding of anything related to what they are selling. If you are a new or inexperienced shooter I would avoid this place. They charge you $5 per hole if you shoot the corrugated plastic that holds your target that cost them 50 cents to buy. And if you shoot the half inch thick metal carrier, they charge $25 and ask you to leave, then they spray paint it. they ruined my father's day with my wife as she is a new shooter and had to pay and only watch me shoot.. would recommend anywhere else! read more

Location has changed to 1132 Beasie Rd. New facility and has a great selection and better prices than I've seen anywhere else in the Nashville area. They used to have an excellent ammo selection which is current pretty sparse. However, when they do have what you want, it's cheaper than other stores. I really think you have trolls from other gun stores adding reviews here. This is the closest store to online prices and their website has better deals than anywhere. All the stuff about over priced ammo, the same AK ammo thats $14 at another Murfreesboro store, and the cheapest I have seen at any other store in the area is $11 they have for $8.99 there. The same pistol thats $399 just down the road is $279 at outpost. I got my glock over $100 cheaper then 3 other stores in the area I went to, and that wasn't with a deal or a sale. Their staff are amazing! Our car wouldn't start at closing time and multiple employees stayed to try and help us, and one of them figured out how to get it started! Went there to get some 380 ammo they sold me on a box of hollow points at a dollar a round , did not even leave the property and noticed rounds would not fit my clip , tried to sell me another type of 380s and would not take back the ones I just bought , went to bullseye they gave me full credit and sold me what I needed. In Murfreesboro area, I like this gun shop the best. This store is huge, If you want to buy a Barrett this is the place to come. Pros: The display section of guns is HUGE, plenty of rifles and hand guns. They also carry plenty of clothing and backpacks, bags for guns etc. They even have a reloading section, if you ever need to get the stuff to be able to make your own ammo this is definitely the place to come to. Cons: It's costly to shop here, you are better off going to the Nashville shops and get cheaper guns there as long as you don't mind making the drive. read more

I have heard so many good things about this store but I just didn't see it. My father in law was in town and wanted to look for a holster for his Sig P938. Outpost is supposed to have a huge selection, so I took him there. Location wise, it's just a short drive from Murfreesboro, so that was a plus. The store is pretty good sized, divided off into three distinct sections for firearns, ammo and accessories. All the staff seemed to be in the firearms section, and we needed some help trying to locate a holster for his pistol due to the sheer number of available options. We tried ti summon some help, but no one seemed particularly interested in a small holster sale. We perused the ammo section and found it to be pretty extensive. They had a lot of items that would be a special order in other stores. Again, never was approached by any employees. We wandered on over to the firearms section and you'd have thought we had kicked a hornets nest. As soon as we started looking at the high dollar items, we had employees swarming over us just dying to show us this, sell us that and wait on us hand and foot. They could have had an easy sale for a holster, but we were so annoyed that we just finished looking around and left. I may head back at some point if they run a big sale, but beyond that, I don't see myself coming back unless I need hard to find ammo and don't want to pay shipping read more

2 stars but only for selection. Other than that, I've been to the new store at least 5-6 times and have yet to buy anything. Everything they have can be bought elsewhere at least slightly less, sometimes considerably less. They're always stocked with pallets of ammo and every bit of it is ludicrously priced. Maybe that's why they always have it. Seriously unfriendly and at times, downright arrogant salespeople. I buy lots of guns, gun parts, and ammo and it's a shame that I generally buy online instead of locally. I'll pay a little more to shop local, but not if local is considerably more expensive. Dan was very knowledgeable & helpful in directing me towards a handgun suitable to my interest. Some guns are on sale and online shopping is available. I asked an older salesman about transferring a firearm to their store. 1) He didn't even act interested in helping me, 2) he kept trying to play dumb and not give me a straight answer. All he kept asking was if I had already purchased the firearm. Clearly only interested in assisting if he could make a sale. I have bought 5+ guns from this store over the last year or two and have watched the store grow. It is owned by the Barrett family who produces the famous .50 caliber rifle. They are a bit more expensive than other gun stores in middle TN but I chose to give them my business because I live in Rutherford County and always support local businesses. I continued to support them for this reason even though customer service is subpar for the most part. I used to frequent this store multiple times a week for years but not any longer. After their price gouging and totally rude and unprofessional behavior during the last few months, I will now go elsewhere. read more

We bought a 20gage side by side , Took it out the same day shot it four times and it fell apart, so we took it back and they said one to two weeks, here it's been over six weeks and when my wife calls they don't have any answers and they say we will call you back and never do. read more
