Service was great. We sat in the bar area. We asked our server what he would order . I told him I was interested in the Sticky Burger. He highly recommended it, especially with the pepper jelly. My husband also ordered the Sticky Burger. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! Sticky oh yes ! But man oh man was it delish!!! If you only like peanut butter a little, do yourself a favor. The White chicken chilli is delicious, one of the best I have had. Bacon cheeseburger delicious and no fuss. The chicken wings were nice and crispy. Turkey club was perfunctory. We arrived around 5:45pm. Seated right away and told our server would be with us. We waited a while before a random server stopped by and asked if we had been greeted yet. We gave her our drink and food orders because we were definitely ready at that point. She said she would get it to our server. Out server never stopped by. We had to flag someone down to ask for our drinks. 45 minutes went by and I told the no food had arrived. I flagged down a manager and asked if we could at least get the kids meals. Food came out finally but my kids were so upset that we just had to take it to go. It took FOREVER for the to go boxes, they overcharged us and we couldn't even get them to come back in a reasonable time so that we could give a card to pay. I flagged down the manager who comped the meal because honestly, we were about to just walk. I get that people are short staffed etc but this was super bad. We left after 7pm. read more

I got the Reuben and must I say, this was quite the Reuben. To start off the rye bread tasted fresh as the rye seeds poked out of the bread creating a rustic feel to it and the sandwich it self looked quite delectable. The thousand island dressing melded with the sauerkraut and the pastrami that It felt like a Viking pillaging a city of my tastebuds. I have been to this establishment two other times and got the hamburger which tasted like a simpleton bland boring burger so nothing special. If you go make sure to get the Reuben. read more

At the end of the night the manager was standing over us and said that we were making the bartender uncomfortable (mind you she was talking with us all night) we weren't doing anything to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Great choice, was in Dayton area on business and stopped in, it was busy for a midweek evening. Both staff and patrons were friendly, nice atmosphere and I was very pleased with the food. Had the Tavern burger, cooked med rare and it was almost perfect. Fries were fresh cut and Cole slaw was great. One of my favorite place in the Dayton area. Everything is delicious from the wings to the burgers to the pizza to the salads and entrees. They are know for their Archers Style wings which are a spicy garlic and have won lots of local wing competitions. The Sticky Burger comes speared with peanut butter; yes really- you have to try it to understand it! BBQ chicken pizza is always a classic, and they have seasonal pizzas too that are always unique. The Oriental salad is huge and full of fresh veggies and fruits. I also like their fish entrees; always fresh and on the healthy side. They're beer club is awesome and you can get a free collectible brewery glass on Wednesday's. They often have some of the earliest access to hard to find beers! read more

Decent food, good menu but too expensive. I likely will be back but $9.50 for an ipa is way too expensive. Craft pints should never be more than $7.00. Spent almost $80 for for 4 beers and 2 sandwiches with tip. I know it's Covid but just too expensive. My BLT was decent. My son had the Rueben. He said the meat was a little dry but good. Service was slow. Only one bartender/server covering the entire area on a Sunday at lunch time. Archer's has definitely regressed. This was first time I came to Archer's Tavern! It is a huge restaurant! The staff was very friendly! I went to restaurant on a Friday evening about 6:30pm. They were busy I gave them a reservation for 4 people when I got there! It only took 25 minutes for our table! I was impressed I thought it was going to be much longer! The time went quickly since there was plenty of places to sit and wait till our table was ready! I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and onion rings! It was great! I especially liked the bun that was on the chicken parm. It was seasoned and crispy! I will defiantly come back again! read more

My family and I have been coming here off and on for several years. I have never had such an awful experience here until tonight. Our waitress was terrible! She took our order and brought our drinks and that was all we saw of her. We had empty drinks and she walked past us multiple times- never looking our way. She brought us our bill and never returned either- I had to walk up to another server to ask if they could take our card. The waitress then came up to us and said sorry I thought you were paying online- I had no clue that was an option due to the fact she never spoke to us. I hate to leave such a crappy review for this place because it used to be one of my favorites to stop at. We definitely will not come back when we are up this way- there are other food options with better service. read more

Been a regular here for years. Awesome food (get the sticky burger or hot wings -sexy style), excellent beer selection, and a personable staff. It's great! Recently they switched over to generic tap handles, rather than beer or at least brewery-specific handles... Not a wise choice. From a consumer perspective, it's tough to figure out what to drink since you can't look at the handles. Sure you can look through the book, but it would be a better experience if you could see what's available by glancing at the taps Switch back to regular tap handles, and this would be a 5 star review read more

We are gradually working our way through all the restaurant-bars in the area. We are not specifically looking for the best one but more checking out which ones we want to visit regularly so that we can get some variety in our choices when we don't feel like cooking. Although this was our visit here, I think that that this place will figure in our line-up. Pretty good selection of craft beers and even better sandwiches. Loved the soggy bottom! My friends and I had a very nice lunch experience at this restaurant this afternoon. The location is convenient, parking is more than adequate, the exterior of the restaurant was pleasing to the eye, the inside was nicely decorated and had a warm, local vibe, we were greeted upon entering by a friendly hostess, seated quickly, order was taken quickly, served in 10-12 minutes, food was served hot & delicious and cost about $10-12 per entree, our table and seats were clean as was the dining room, appropriate music was playing, there was no WiFi, and the men's restroom was clean and didn't smell. read more

Let me start by saying we do love archers food. It's always made well and tasty. That being said we often order their food to go. Today is the 3rd time in a row that something has been missing from our order. Not just a side of something a complete entree. My husband drives back every time and he never even gets as much as an apology for the trouble of driving back. Something is clearly broken in the front to-go process. After a couple of friends recommended this "original" Archer's as the better of the two in town, I thought I'd give it a try. It's definitely similar to the Kettering Archer's, but I just not all that impressed with Centerville's. The building is so loud and the walkways are so narrow - and our service wasn't particularly great. They do, however, have specials at this location that I've never seen in Kettering. It's a fantastic and lovely location on its own, but I prefer the Kettering option. PROS: -Archer's food is always so darn delicious. It was great here as well. We absolutely love the wings (they're amazing!), and I love the Pretzels and beer cheese as well. Portions are good, and food has always come out piping hot. It's fantastic. -Beer selection. Both Archer's have lovely beer selections - though I think this Centerville location has some extra options. If you're a beer drinker, they always have a really plentiful and varied selection. -Great location. Just like the other Archer's in town, it's located across the street from a Kroger. Get groceries, get dinner. Win-win. -Large parking lot. Even during dinner period while we were leaving, there were still plenty of spots. It's a good parking lot that wraps the building, so it's easy to get a spot that's somewhat close to the door. -They have an outdoor patio as well. It was frigid, so the outdoor patio was closed, but it does exist. (Kettering doesn't have any outdoor area) CONS: -The walkways here get noticeably narrow - to the point where I can't imagine it's up to fire code. Baby carriers and strollers get put in the walkways for all of the tables within the center of the room, so you have to do a "avoid the baby" walk if you want to use the restroom or leave the building. I'd hate to see what happens if anyone accidentally tips those over. -This Archer's is so *loud*. I'm not sure if it's the brick, tall ceiling, and hard floors or what, but when we were there for dinner, it got loud enough that I could barely hear across a table and when I received a phone call, I couldn't hear the other person on the phone at all. -Our service wasn't great here. I'm used to really attentive service at the other location, so it was weird to run out of drinks and sit over 10 minutes to receive the beer we'd ordered. It wasn't horrendously bad, but it wasn't great. read more

I am changing my rating to drop a star. Although the food is great, I cant say the same for the service. So lets start off with the good. The food is always good. I have not had anything I did not like. They do have the best wings which I always pair with a wedge salad. (Get the wings archer style, just enough spice) I commonly get their buffalo chicken wrap and fries. You can get the wrap with any sauce, not just buffalo. The atmosphere is nice and good location. The bad is the last few times I have gone there has been terrible service. They tend to be slow and understaffed. Once service picks up again I am likely to come back more often. read more

This is a go-to date night place for my wife and I. Always love the food (especially the sexy-style wings!) and the whole vibe. Our server Alex D on Friday 2/10/23 was a standout, I saw him taking responsibility for the room and checking in with all the tables, being a team player with the other servers. He was friendly, attentive, and conscious of what we needed before we knew we needed it. Won't be surprised to see him managing the team on a future visit. read more

Archer's is a great bar and grill in the Centerville area. One of the few places I frequent multiple times in the vicinity. Here are things I like about Archers: 1. Separate bar 2. Large seating area which doesn't feel too vacant / open. 3. Nice rotating tap selection with good standbys 4. Good burgers. 5. Good fries. 6. Good bar-tenders. 7. It is clean. 8. They have a patio. Things I would change: 1. Get rid of the shredded lettuce and give me a nice leaf or romaine. 2. Get a better bun for your burger or toast it. I've had some other food items here and haven't been excited about them so typically I stick with the burger. I've had people say the 'za is good, but mama had it and we weren't wowed. Sister had the bacon-wrapped hot dog & died and went to heaven, so if you prefer a dog to your cow, go for it. Archer's recently opened a location in Kettering and I can't speak to that one, but generally the Centerville location is busy (I figure this is due to the lack of options in the area and the fact that they have good beer, burgers, and fries.). Service has always been good, another plus! Definitely a decent spot, hence, I keep returning. You should too. Get a burger. :) read more

This place took us by surprise to say the least. My husband and I took our two children to try something new and we are glad we did. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Hot Sauce on it and wow! That was delicious! My husband had the Ruben sandwich and said it was the best he can remember ever having. Both kids loved their kids meals as well. Our server, Chris, did a great job! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the different selections. The atmosphere in the place reminds me of a mix of Chili's and Applebee's but better. We will definitely be back! read more
