If you like to play the games of caffeine then this is a coffee lovers dream. Dine in service and a chill playlist? Now that's what I mean. After having their coffee I was lit like a bullet and in charge like Steve McQueen. Located inside the downtown area this is one of those gems you can't afford to pass up if you're on a coffee hunt. I ordered an espresso shot to start off with and it definitely got me a little lit. My second drink was the cortado and it was a hit. My third drink was their Draft Latte and half way through I had to quit. I took the rest home because I was in the zone and who knew where I would roam. Overall I have to admit that their coffee is legit. The service is really good and the atmosphere is chili and eye pleasing. This is one of those shops you can actually loose yourself and time and that is totally fine. And that's my take on it, Peace.

I went to this location and why don't they make their drinks look like how they advertise it it don't even taste like mango or coconut it just taste like a normal matcha not gonna lie it taste good but i was hoping for sum type of like mango flavor

Sorry but overhyped. Also they gave this to me, said it was my party melt, and I said "are you sure?" "Yep!" Either the waiter didn't know what a patty melt looks like, or this was the weirdest, driest patty melt either (who adds lettuce and bacon?) even as a sandwich, it was pretty dry and unflavored.

I've been here several times in the past and stopped in for a quick bite and some coffee. I had the egg scramble with bacon and potatoes. My son killed the potatoes, but I enjoyed my cup of coffee with eggs and bacon. I had their salsa, which was surprisingly flavorful at a coffee spot. Service was quick and polite. The decor in this place is modern vintage. Calm lighting with plants tucked away here and there. Love the vibe.

What a lovely coffee shop! The line was out the door and place was bustling with business. L We were greeted by the hostess, who asked if we'd like to dine in. There was also a separate line for coffee to go orders. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated. We ordered a Honey cinnamon latte and a draft latte. The draft latte was the right amount of sweetness. The honey cinnamon latte was also just right. Our food came out: we had ordered the huevos rancheros, the French toast, and the Yukon potato wedges. The huevos rancheros had a decent amount of food with a sunny side egg on top. The French toast was unique: it was made with persimmon butter, topped with matcha rice crisps. After our meal, the server let us move to the bar area so we can do some computer work. They didn't allow us to sit in the dining area to just work. We sat there until closing. It was a bit noisy but closer to closing, it was as quiet. There were outlets for our computers and free WiFi upon asking. Overall, it was a nice, social coffee bar with minimalistic decor. The coffee was good and the food was wonderful. The servers were bubbly and friendly. Absolutely a recommendation from us!

10/10 jury duty detour. Imagine landing jury duty...and somehow scoring the PERFECT parking spot. Now imagine being excused after 30 minutes for THREE WHOLE HOURS...on a rainy day. There was absolutely no way I was giving up that parking spot...that's how I found myself walking to Arcade Downtown. Let me start here: I got aggressively caffeinated. Also had one of the best breakfast sandwiches-so good I ate before I taking a picture. Service was solid. This spot is perfect for sitting, thinking, reading and processing the fact civic duty comes around once a year. Thank goodness Arcade Downtown is a quick stroll away. I was hyped by the time I got back to the courtroom that I was almost disappointed they dismissed us same day. Low-key, I was looking forward to reclaiming that corner seat by the food counter. Great coffee/food/service. I'll def be back on non-civic-duty days.

Went in today and had a late breakfast and coffee. The ago hummus was great and the steak & eggs were delicious but my steak was a little undercooked from what I had asked but delicious regardless. Coffee was average nothing crazy but still good. 4/5 stars because the cleanliness of tables. Staff collects dishes but doesn't wipe tables. Service was alright again, nothing that stood out. Had asked for salt and pepper but never received but it wasn't an issue because the food was tasty. I like this location the most because of the space and quietness compared to other locations.

Arcade has some of the best coffee in Riverside! It's the cafe I usually recommend to people who visit. The only downside is that they close early as a lot of cafes do, which is unfortunate because I craved their coffee during a lot of late nights studying. Their coffee roast is on the darker side and has a nice flavor for their lattes. I love trying whatever their seasonal latte/syrup is! I also have been liking their matcha lately. I remember I tried it a couple years ago and that was not the case but their quality has definitely gone up. Will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I enjoy coming here for brunch during the weekends. Can get busy. Make sure to put down your name with the host, and grab a drink while you wait so you can sip on it. Such a nice ambiant place in downtown Riverside. Parking structure available on 9th street. One day I had this huge craving for a patty melt and Arcade Roasters satisfied it by 100%+. Came back again within a week to order the same thing haha Love that their food is always so fresh and so flavorful. Super friendly servers. Always with a smile. It's kind of contagious!

Downtown Riverside is so cute and Arcade Downtown is the best coffee spot! I could tell that Arcade would be a hit just from the line. When I arrived around 11am, there was a long line forming but they moved through it quickly. It's clear this spot is a favorite. To start, the aesthetic is great. They've got a spacious seating area. There were people studying, some chatting, families enjoying lunch and a few college kids playing chess. The ambiance was versatile and conducive to the needs of everyone coming in. I also loved the variety of seating options available and that there were bathrooms. Service was also excellent. They were quick and moved fast to get folks in. I ordered off their holiday seasonal menu. I had a delicious sugar cookie latte made decaf. It was tasty! By mid morning they were already starting to run low on baked goods but I did snag the las blueberry cardamom scone. It was perfect! I enjoyed my treats while getting some work done. Awesome spot!

the girls working here were very nice and welcoming. Lots of places to sit inside, not too loud so good place to study/ read. The breakfast plate was just okay and simple. The potatoes were extremely big pieces but that's just me being picky lol. Eggs are a soft scramble which I enjoyed but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I tried their seasonal "That fall drink" which unfortunately I wasn't the biggest fan of. It had an overpowering clover taste that masked the other fall flavors. read more

I ordered the BLT. I loved everything about it except the bacon. When I eat a BLT, I expect crispy bacon. The bacon used is a very thick, chewy and a bit rubbery. Arcade is walking distance from the court house which is convenient if you're serving as a juror. The employees at Arcade are wonderful, the ambience modern, clean and inviting. read more

Food: 3/5. Overall, both entrees were too salty for me. I was excited to try the Turkish eggs, but felt like it just tasted overwhelmingly salty--like a salty hummus with Chinese chili oil topped with parsley and 3 over easy eggs. It didn't help that it only came with 2 halves of a naan bread; the sauce to bread ratio was too big, and we were left with a bunch of sauce but nothing to eat it with. The patty melt was your standard patty and bacon on a sourdough bread, and it came with a side of salty potatoes. Service: 5/5. I'm only giving 3 stars total because the service was great, and our waiter was super nice. Ambiance: 5/5. The vibes were good, and the interior was modern aesthetic. read more

I'm so happy I found this place!! Driving by it's so easy to miss but it's definitely a hidden gem. To start, our waiter Kapono was amazing. He was in such a great mood and very helpful and friendly. The food was really damn good too! I had the only plate that has streak (sorry can't remember the name) and the meat was so fresh, so tender and juicy. I did not expect it to be so good. The good: Great location, in a quiet plaza in the heart of downtown riverside. A hot breakfast menu and fresh meals with friendly service. Less good: The espresso was a bit too bitter for my taste, and the ambiance felt more geared toward those who wanted to stop by for a quick bite, not so much for those who wanted to stay for a while. read more

I've come once before a few years ago for a meeting. I got a matcha. I've been wanting to come back for brunch. I set up a reservation online, very easy and quick to do it. After the appointed time, you have 10 minutes before they give up your table. The cafe is rustic and contemporary, with wood accents. It's very hip and trendy. It's a pretty big space, with plenty of tables and other seating. Most of the customer base is young adult as well as the staff. I checked in with the hostess. The host stand is to the left of the entrance. Right in front is the coffee bar, wheee drinks are prepared and pastries available like muffins and cookies. I was seated and given the menu. My server was very friendly. The table has glasses and a water jug available for serving. I chose the huevos rancheros, which is only available for Sat + Sun. My drink, I got a matcha. Sever recommended the vanilla syrup and said that everyone raves about the huevos rancheros. My order was served promptly. The huevos rancheros were served in a way I never had before. It came with tostadas, with the egg, beans, meat, and salsa. It was very good! I enjoyed it! My matcha was prepared well, with the vanilla and matcha blending together perfectly. Server was always checking in to make sure everything was good. My order came out to $27 with some change plus tip. Very happy I got to experience here! Thanks! :) read more

Yummy coffee (I got the latte) and avocado toast was filling and sooo good. The bread it was on was delicious and I loved the crunch on top. I'm going back tomorrow for more! Also, the customer service was great! I didn't stay to eat there but it's a hopin place with a line out the door so don't expect quick. read more

Best coffee everrr!!! The draft latte is out of this world. I bought a growler that I refill once a week. It is very caffeinated but does not give me the jitters. The taste is fantastic! We recently ordered coffee for a surprise party for 12 people with very little notice, and the Arcade Downtown team absolutely delivered. Chloe's patience at the crack of dawn was so appreciated, and Ebin was in full speed mode, getting everything packed and ready with lightning-fast efficiency. Setup was seamless -- truly impressive. The wait staff and greeters deserve a special shoutout. They are never rushed and somehow make you feel like you're the only table in the room -- total rock star treatment every time. My favorite way to enjoy Arcade is sitting by the kitchen (the best spot in the house) and chatting with the Chef Uli's Team about the menu. It changes every 2-3 months, and like most great chefs, they're passionate and genuinely love talking about their food. My personal goal is to try everything, but when I get stuck on a favorite, it's the soft scramble toast this season -- pure comfort food. My daughter always goes for the French toast (every version offer is sinful), and my husband swears by the steak & eggs (this dish changes too) -- like you've never had. It's truly a family affair. How lucky are we to have Arcade Downtown within walking distance. Happy New Year! read more

Myself and sister decided to experience this place for the first time . As soon as we walked in it felt like the guy employee simply judged us by the face expression but I just decided to brush it off . The service was just not the greatest , the male employees just don't really give the greatest welcoming. As of the food it was a 1 the french toast was very sweet I had to just eat it since it was a little pricey $17. Place it's nice , overall I give this experience a 1 very disappointed! read more

We just moved from Irvine and this is our first day in Riverside and the first place we checked out. Overall, it's amazing. The aesthetic and overall ambiance of a coffee shop is wonderful but with a sit-down restaurant vibe as well. Our waitress, Chloe, was amazing. So nice and helpful and we took her up on her suggestions for food, the Downtown Egg + Cheese and the steak and eggs, and now I know why The Downtown Egg + Cheese is her favorite. It was filling and beyond tastey! The steak and eggs was also great and the steak was cooked perfectly. We also got Lattes with Oat milk and Salted caramel syrup and they were good! The coffee was strong and tasted great but not too overpowering. They apparently do seasonal and weekend specials for food and drinks so excited to come back and try the new items! Food and drinks was a 10 out of 10 and Chloe just made it that much better! Definitely recommend this place to people passing through or people who live in the area. Went on 4th of July. Not busy at all we sat for brunch & got served water & that was it. Waited 20mins didn't get checked on didn't come take our order. I would understand if it was busy but when half your servers are standing around talking doesn't make sense to get ignored , we even made eye contact with 2 of them. Arcade's Downtown Location is a stunnerrr. Love stopping here for lunch; delicious food & fresh smooth lattes / matcha every time. The staff is always incredibly kind & helpful, drinks have a quick turnaround--even during busy hours. The food was spectacular. We had the steak and eggs and banh mi sandwich. The banh mi was the best I've ever had. The bread was crisp and tangy and the pate was savory and delicious. We met the Chef, Ulysses and his passion for his food was infectious. He even gifted us bread to take home. The service is always attentive and kind. Arcade downtown is a cute little cafe/coffee spot in the heart of downtown Riverside. My niece and I decided to try this place for the first time. The place is clean and the staff is very kind. We came on a Thursday around 10 am. There is plenty of room to sit. It seems like a lot of people come here to work/study. My niece had the breakfast egg, potatoes & bacon. We shared a strawberry French toast. Not an original French toast but it was so good, soft & fluffy. I had the not so avocado toast. It was so delicious! Our experience was great! The food is great to get something quick to eat. Maybe not an ideal place if you want a large meal. I hope to return to try their caffeinated drinks. read more

Went in during a week day. I always wanted to try this place. They were not too busy. They had the barista also doing the cashier so coffee took a bit. The coffee was good. The coffee cake muffin was delicious. The barista was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed with my questions. The only reason for the 4/5. I felt like I had to just order something fast to not annoy the barista. read more

I finally got around to writing this, and Arcade Coffee Roasters Downtown deserves all the love. Their brunch? So good. I ordered the "Not an Avocado Toast," and I loved how it was deconstructed with thoughtful, flavorful elements: charred avocado, pink peppercorn honey, crème fraîche, grapefruit, and sourdough. Every bite had a perfect balance of richness and brightness. The sourdough? Delicious. I also got an iced latte with just cinnamon powder, and it hit the spot...smooth and well-balanced. Beyond the food and coffee, the aesthetic of this place is everything; minimalist but warm, stylish yet inviting. And the service? Incredibly sweet and welcoming. Its been 2 years since they opened this location. So what took me so long? Or better yet, what took me so long to experience any of The Arcades at any of their locations? In case you are wondering, there is another Arcade and a bakery, Bakehouse, located in an upscale part of Riverside, Canyon Crest, which is not too far from the UCR campus. This location is located on the beautiful historic downtown promenade that is bracketed by Mission Inn, City Hall, and the magnificent 1904 Superior Court building. Parking is plenteous, especially if you use the multilevel parking structure right across the promenade from the cafe. There is also some street parking, but don't count on it. The interior is minimalist, industrial modern. There is plenty of small, flat top seating and counters with barstools. This location seems to be a popular spot for students and business professionals to meet or work on their laptops while nibbling and sipping on coffee drinks. Temptation smacks you in the face right as you enter. A small case of baked goods, muffins, cookies, scones, baked fresh daily at their sister location, Bakehouse, are there to torment you until you relent. I could not resist the Carrot Brown Butter muffin, and it did not disappoint. I chose my other breakfast items from their side order list. My scrambled eggs were wonderfully buttery, lightly salted, and very moist and delicious. To that, I added a side of bacon, 2 slices, that were thick, big, and nicely smokey. Perfect breakfast food! Mr. B had a big, beautiful, blueberry citrus scone. Very good! He added an Arc burger, prepared as a smash burger. The hamburger meat is made from beautifully aged beef and is quite rich tasting. This is a great tasting burger you will not regret ordering. On weekends, they serve from a brunch menu, not too terribly different than weekdays, with the exception of serving alcoholic beverages, too. Brunch on the weekend is by table service, and they recommend reservations. My coffee included a small cup of rich, thick cream. While I found it to be a bit thin, acidic, and floral for my usual tastes, it grew on me. That particular bean was Piccaal Fuente from El Salvador, a medium roast. Free refills. The only downside was with this type of Industrial modern, minimalist decor, I found it to be distractingly echo-y inside. The decor was softened with an artistic wall of hanging pathos plants. Outstanding service, friendly and caring staff. This is a great little spot that adds class to an already attractive downtown. read more

However the coffee was terrible it was more syrup than anything and the syrups were off putting. Nice, clean coffee house located in downtown Riverside. They have a nice selection of coffee based drinks, including coffee martinis and mimosas. Also a small food menu with assorted pastries. I had ordered my latte before I saw the other drink menu so I ordered the watermelon spritz, which was very refreshing. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. My favorite arcade location!! Very impressed with their brunch menu my boyfriend loved the tasajo steak the main reason why I wanted to make a review was to post the pic of it lol it was as good as it looked! Love their iced matcha I opted for an iced latte today and really liked it! Huge portion for side potatoes maybe just put in one more piece of bacon on the side bacon :) can't wait to come back for weekend brunch I heard they serve cocktails! read more

What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. I got my favorite mug here and for a pretty fair price too! They make a huge variety of tea blends, available in tiny pouches so you can sample lots of different types without making a commitment to a huge bag. There is a shop cat who lives here named Pepper. She seems clean and friendly, and the teas are hung up on the wall and not placed on a table so you won't get litter paws all over your tea leaves. Maybe it's just something to be aware of if you have cat allergies or just dislike them.

I'm not a huge fan of super sweet things though. The place has an extremely peaceful vibe going on. There are lots of plants! The service was spectacular. They asked if I wanted the garnish on top and gave recommendations on other drinks. It was a mix of flora that some might find bitter but I felt they were little magical strips of added happiness. I usually stick to drip or an oatmilk latte. However, the summer special board intrigued me and I decided to try the coconut latte with oatmilk, less sweet with an extra espresso shot. My latte came with toasted coconut flakes sprinkled on top. It was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had in my life! The staff is friendly and efficient. The store not only has coffee and food, but filled with cute plants, stickers, totes, journals and more. Parking is also convenient in the lot. This is now one of my favorite spots, too!

The boba itself has a nice chewy texture and the sweetness level usually comes out just right. There seemed to be lots of options, they sell soft serv ice cream cones and the fushi pastry eoth different kinds of fillings. I'm going to bring my daughter , dhe absolutely loves boba. I ordered a peach green tea it was fresh, I enjoyed it. My son ordered some milk boba drink he said it was delicious. Service was great, the young server at the register greeted us, seemed frie day and welcoming which is huge for me. I'll provide an update once we try other items, but for now I'm giving 4/5.

Employees have been friendly each time and they bring out food to you on the patio. Unfortunately the location is increasingly a problem at least while sitting outside. Lots of homeless people around some on drugs and some unstable. Last time I was there a homeless man threw an orange at someone who was eating next to me for no reason at all. It's not the first time something happens that feels unsafe and although there's not much the restaurant can do about it it does affect the ambience

I decided to stop by here before checking out the Festival of Lights in Downtown Riverside, and I'm surprised with the experience. I believe the drink I ordered was seasonal or limited. It was the ambrosia matcha with oat milk. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations going in, but I was pleasantly surprised. The matcha itself was decent, not too bold or standout, but what really blew me away was the cherry flavor. I never imagined cherry could pair so well with matcha, but they nailed it! The drink starts with a subtle matcha taste, followed by a refreshing hint of cherry that's light and not overpowering. It's a unique and super-refreshing combo. The interior is spacious and modern, with clean wood and white walls complemented by plants, giving it a cozy and study-friendly vibe. It's definitely a great spot to hang out or get some work done. The staff were incredibly kind, even though I came in just minutes before closing. They remained patient, friendly, and accommodating, and even let me wait a little after closing to finish preparing my drink. Their customer service was top-notch. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks next time I'm in DTR! read more

I recently visited this cafe and tried the steak, eggs, and potato breakfast. The steak was perfectly cooked, bursting with savory flavor, and the potatoes were incredibly crispy, just how I like them. I also had their unique take on French toast. The fluffy bread paired with a touch of jam and cream made for a delightful and refreshing twist. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. The open space allowed me to see the coffee being made and the chefs cooking, which added a special touch to the experience. They also had plants throughout the restaurant, which added to the ambiance, but I did notice that some of them could use a little watering. Other than that, it was an excellent experience. I had a great experience from beginning to end. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Everything we ordered came out looking great and tasted even better. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive without making us feel rushed. They checked on us throughout our meal and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambience was also very enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a nice atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back! read more

While the food was truly delicious, the overall experience was slightly dampened by the restaurant's limitations. The space is quite small and didn't seem equipped to handle larger parties comfortably. Additionally, during our visit a week ago, we encountered a hostess with a rather unfriendly demeanor. She was making snide remarks to those waiting for tables and even requesting some to stand outside on a cold day. The vibe she created wasn't the best, but luckily our waitress was an absolute gem - incredibly friendly and attentive. Her excellent service really helped redeem the experience. read more

A very well designed cafe with the best matcha latte I've had in a while! The staff were so friendly and conversational. I like my prosciutto and burrata tartine. If you eat meat and cheese-go for it, you won't regret it! My girlfriend enjoyed her veggie sandwich as well. This is my go to recommendation for anyone looking to discover great brunch in Riverside. read more
