Another great restaurant in the Jersey Mike's Sub's franchise…read more I was greeted warmly upon arrival, and ordered the original Jersey Mike's Italian, regular size, Mike's way, and added the spicy relish and jalapeño peppers I couldn't help, but also order the delicious cream soda from the fountain The sandwich was made with love, and I really enjoyed the visit. The meats were piled high, and the toppings were generous. This is the way grinders are supposed to be. The restaurant is very clean Also redeemed points for the grinder, so I only had to pay for the soda and tip. This was a great deal.

With years passing and spying a shiny new 'jangles right near our hotel in Staunton, VA, I caught the urge to try it again and see if anything had changed about their golden chicken and biscuits? The short answer is, no. It is still crispy skinned and meaty, with whatever the ingredient that makes it so compelling. Along with the buttered biscuit, cool coleslaw and dirty rice, it is remains a valued and delicious alternative to fast food fare. Even my lovely traveling companion, a first time indulger, found the feast in our room worthy of praise, and she's a tough nut to crack with untested cuisine. We've been loving our days in western Virginia, but it might just be Bojangles that seals the deal and finds us back in this neck of the Blue Ridge woods sooner than later. Just wish they had designed the drive through and entrance to the shop with more concern for safety. There is no way to walk to the entrance doors without crossing the drive through lane right where the lanes wrap around the front of the building. That is an accident waiting to happen.

The fried clams, fish and chicken were always delicious. Sadly, all the ones near us in NoVa have closed, so we ducked into this one on a road trip. Food (5/5): Everything was fried fresh to order and delivered quickly. Lobster bites - A special from LJS - these are little langoustines "Norway lobsters" that had a seasoned breading. Not bad, but LJS really specializes in their crunchy breaded fish. Fried fish - I think it's been a decade since I last had this fish. The crunchy breading is unlike anything I've had and I wonder why it's been so long since I had it! Fried clams- Just ok. Clams used to be my favorite thing here, but now it's the fish Service (5//5): The workers here were really kind and the food came our fast and fresh. Atmosphere (4/5): This is either a new building or it's been recently renovated. Not too bad for fast food.
