This has got to be one of the worse, chicken Philly's I've ever had in my entire life. I am so…read moredisappointed in this "Philly" even the size of it and it was just chicken, cheese and onions. That's it. I am surprised at the service or lack there of as well. I used to love this location.

For the last 15-20 years - whenever I went to Savannah on business - on the way out of town I'd…read morealways stop at Larry's Giant Subs - store no. 152 - located at 2 Park of Commerce, Ste. A, Savannah, GA. I stopped in again yesterday . It was around 5:30 PM and the place was empty with no customers. Two people were working the sandwich prep - cash register area - just milling about. l Had my I-PAD with me so I figured I'd just sit down and get on my I-PAD to do some work as I waited for my order. The place offers free Wi-Fi. With I-PAD in hand walked around to sit down at a table. BIG PROBLEM!!!!! There were NO CLEAN TABLES to sit down at! Sure, pieces of stray lettuce or a tomato bit were not still on the tables, but all the table edges and corners where you may want to put your elbows on, were grimy and sticky with surface residue. Each table! It was totally disgusting! They guy finally comes out with my food, and, with the order now in my hand, I say to the guy - "Can I have a wet rag to clean this grime off of one these tables? "He tells me they had a big lunch crowd 3-4 hrs ago... which as why the tables were still grimy. This worker and the other sandwich maker were just 'hanging out' doing nothing - all while he and the other one or both of them could have easily cleaned the tables more throughly in their down time. But rather they just hung around just chill'n. So, when I asked for a rag so I could do it myself right, instead the guy got a spray bottle of Windex or something and a rag to clean the table and did so as I stood there with my food order in hand. At least he got a bottle of cleaner. But now the guy now stunned me. With the Windex bottle and cloth rag still in his hands, I was amazed to see that he did not attempt to clean a single other table!!! By now, after accessing the unsettling unsanitary environment I was witnessing right before my very eyes, and seeing no further action by this 'worker' to clean the rest of the tables, I flat out told him that I was going to contact the Corporate Headquarters or Home Office to report the uncleanliness and general sleazy appearance of this Larry's Giant Subs sandwich operation. After the guy finished his hard 'work' - he retreated to back behind the counter to 'hang' with his co-worker to again chill. One customer finally did come in to put in for a take-out order, as I finally sat down to eat. Then I saw the 'table guy' go outside to chill further and have a smoke. I looked over and he was staring at me with the chair he was sitting in turned in my direction instead of facing outwards to look at the auto traffic and such. He then finished 'hangin' and came back in. A few minutes later, after I was finishing up my meal, I big burly guy comes out of some 'crack in the wall' from out back and asks 'how was my dining experience and can he be of any further help,' all in an effort to appease me and 'play me for a fiddle' and obviously to keep me from calling corporate. I told him I was going to call the Home Offices to report my horrendous 'dining experience.' He then tried to my buffer my response by saying "This is the Home Office and I am the manager." I've been to the Larry's Giant Subs website and know very well that the franchise maintains its Corporate Home Office in Jacksonville, FL. I wasn't buying into what this 'pop-up' manager was now telling me. Another thing, no napkins were on the serving tray when my order was handed to me, as they were always in the past. I had to get up and walk 40 feet and get them near the soda dispenser out of a single pull down stand. And you need a code now to punch in on a pad to wash your hands and go to the toilet. Why? In the end, when I was finished with lunch, I dropped the lunch order remains and debris in the garbage and left the joint, VOWING NOW NEVER TO RETURN. I had a bad experience as well at Larry's Giant Subs in Vidalia, GA over a decade before and checked that place off my list. See the report elsewhere on Yelp for the details. Basically, the prices get routinely jacked up as the 'service' hits the skids. For me Larry's Giant Subs has now become a GIANT horror of a 'dining experience' and is one which ALL need to avoid!
