Michael E.

Last stop on our way back from Florida. My wife loves Arby's, and we don't have many on Long Island, and none nearby us. So anytime we travel and see an Arby's she insists on stopping for her favorite Arby's sandwich. In fact she usually gets two or three to take home for the next day. This restaurant was clean. That's all I have to say.

They have a new French dip sandwich called called the Royale and it's really really good.

Burger runn Cheesesteak…read more I've been told repeatedly to try the cheesesteaks here. On a previous visit I had the burgers and I thought they were very good. Though at my visit today I discovered they use Martin's potato rolls for the burgers. The place was a former deli and is tiny. I was greeted at the door and they took my order. Cheesesteak fried onions provolone. My go to order. The floor is tiled and slippery and I almost fell several times. It was around 4:15 so I thought I beat the dinner rush but apparently everyone orders from here on DoorDash or Uber Eats. At least a dz orders were picked up while I was waiting. I thought the wait was a little long.... But I stood there waiting for my sandwich. Finally a woman from the back come up front to address a problem with a chicken order and asked what I was waiting for.... A cheesesteak I replied and the counter woman that took my order grabbed a bag that was sitting in the pickup pile and handed it to me Alex? She asked yes I replied. I took my sandwich and got into my truck. At a red light I reached over to feel the bag... it was Luke warm. I expected my sandwich to be piping hot. Ggggggrrrrrrr. That is why I ordered at the place but the nearly 30 minute wait with the undetermined amount of time it was on the to go counter will you get the picture. On my arrival at home I opened the sandwich and snapped a photo. At this point it was barely warm. I prepared it with ketchup, hot pepper hoagie spread and my last slices sweet horseradish dill pickles. The first bite was underwhelming. Barely warm and the roll which was supposed to be sarcone's tasted more like amoroso. Onions were diced into fine cubes and I prefer more than the tiny amount provided. Overall taste was good but because it was nearly cold hard to actually evaluate. The overall sandwich had enough meat and a good meat to bread ratio. I found no trace of fat or grizzle. Maybe if circumstances were better I would have been happier but it did not reach the hype.

Take out only place with some outdoor seating previously went by another name. I really enjoyed it…read more They were very busy making everything from scratch and the onion rings and smash burgers were excellent, though I think the burger was better than the rings.

Hi There, Darlings!…read more Let's start out with one quirk that drives me nutsy-cuckoo with this place: its name is missing the second "L" and I'm tempted to refer to it as the "File-ly" Diner. But that's the only little ole hiccup, the atmosphere, the retro sports bar vibe, is pretty darn cool. Your Host loves good diner fare, and hubs and I have made this place our go-to for a few years now since the Star View changed hands. The Phily (ugh...I want to type that second "L") is right on the Black Horse Pike in Runnemede, adjacent to the Toyota dealership. It's a large, spacious spot with plenty o'parking and includes a large sports bar. We haven't yet experienced the bar aspect (yet), but rest assured, darlings, that is a forthcoming eventuality - the stuff Your Host must do in the name of research. Let's dive into some deets, shall we? FARE: Typical diner food that we all know and love. Dinner specials give you the biggest bang for the buck and the offerings change based on the day. Of course, there are plenty'o meals as simple as sandwiches/burgers/salads to multi-course dinners. And of course, breakfast can be had anytime of the day. ATMOSPHERE: Sport bar vibe in the sports bar (on west side of the building) and a retro diner vibe in the main section. It's pretty and very comfortable. SERVICE: the waitstaff is friendly in a sort of diner way. They're polite and accommodating, and attentive. Overall, you can't go wrong here. Jonathan: if you venture out here, give us a shout...we'll join ya!! Go forth and conquer! Your Host.

Honestly one of the worst diners I've ever been to. Got a veggie omelette and a Greek omelette…read more The Greek omelette had no feta. The veggie omelette was so rushed that all of the vegetables were still raw and firm. Asked for home fries extra crispy and got the exact opposite--basically pale white baked potato. Everything I ate was greasy and tasted like burnt oil. The only reason it's not 1 star is because it was clean and the staff was friendly, but honestly I'm never coming back.

Great BBQ, Fantastic Sides, and Enough Sauce to Keep Everyone Happy!…read more I've been to plenty of barbecue joints over the years, and Mission BBQ in Deptford definitely knows what it's doing! I ordered the five ribs with fries and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious. Good barbecue doesn't need to be complicated. Give me some tasty ribs, a couple of solid sides, and I'm a happy man. One of the girls working there came around offering free samples of their mashed potatoes. Let me tell you something, those mashed potatoes were phenomenal! Honestly, I might have to order them next time instead of the fries. But one of my favorite things about this place is the barbecue sauce selection. Every table has several different regional sauces, from Texas to Kansas City to the Smoky Mountains. You can experiment, mix things up, and use as much as you want. No begging your server for another tiny cup of sauce. That's how barbecue should be! The atmosphere is casual, the staff is friendly, and the whole place has that great American barbecue joint feeling. My only regret? I should've taken more pictures before digging in! Five stars. Great food, great concept, and I'll definitely be back. If you enjoyed this review, check out The 856 Scene, a South Jersey podcast I proudly write for. Not really sure what happened to this place. When it first opened quality was very good and now it…read moreis very bad. The aroma has a very gamey stench to it that can't be masked with any amount of bbq sauce. The mac and cheese lost its richness and tastes watered down. I also don't appreciate the overt military theme that has nothing to do with bbq unless you've ever eaten in a mess hall. To end on a positive, the staff is friendly and Lumpy's bbq is only 10 minutes away.
