I contacted Arborscape for help converting our front and side yard to drought-tolerant landscape as part of the SoCal WaterSmart rebate program. I'm not from the area, and knew I'd need a lot of assistance and education to convert to and maintain the landscape of my dreams. To say I'm pleased and blown away by the quality of work they completed would be a drastic understatement. Our result is far beyond what we hoped for & imagined and came in on budget (although when they see it people think we spent far more!) I hope reading this will help & save you time! Lonnie & Denise were great! They did a WONDERFUL job and I have to say worth every penny!!!!!!! When you're a home owner, you learn that it so not easy to hire someone and get things done. So hopefully this review with help a few ppl! I literally called dozens of people; landscaping designer, landscapers, irrigation specialist, etc. I rode the emotional coaster of leaving messages & not getting call backs, rejection because my job was either too small, too big, or not their specialty. I had guys come out and do estimates, everyone was nice (of course they are, they're trying to get your business!) Some just listen to what you want, other tried to convince me that what I want was not possible or too much work and I just should try something else. And then I met Lonnie, he was the ONLY ONE who really listen to what I wanted and offered great suggestions and solutions to what I was aiming for. My yard is pretty big and a hot mess; weeds everywhere, ground cover that over grown all over the property, trees that needed major trimming and some that needed to be cut down. I needed new sod, fruit trees planted, plants transfer from one area to another. I also had a sprinkler system that was not efficient, it was watering the weeds instead of my plants(that's one of the things Lonnie suggested, to switch to drip instead of sprinkler in some areas. He's the one who pointed out why some areas were overgrown with weeds!) I got a range of estimate, some super cheap and some super expensive. You learn from years of owning a house you never go by the cheapest because there's a reason they quote you so little. They come back with excuses and get more money from you to complete the job because it got more 'difficult' and you either pay up or end up with a half finished yard and a lawsuit. Don't waste your time with them! Lonnie was on the higher side of estimates but still reasonable plus I chose him because he got what I was trying to do and he said the could do it ALL! Lonnie and his crew were always on time, hard working, and very courteous. And more importantly they knew what they were doing, you could tell they had years of experience and that's what you want!!! They're really good at what they do! I can't stress how thankful I am that I found Aborscpae and that I went with them! Like i said, worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! So hopefully this review helps. I had Lonnie install a new irrigation system for my house. The job was done on time and on budget. My lawn is looking great as before this we had to hand water our property. I hired Arborscape to install a lawn in my back yard. My existing lawn had lots of weeds, so I was concerned about eliminating them completely. I discussed this with Lonnie and he assured me it would not be a problem. They installed the lawn and a sprinkler system and before the project was fully completed I paid in full, assuming all was fine. After this, it is was hard to get them to come back to finish the minor things that were not yet complete. It took multiple calls and they did not show up when promised. After the project was finished, weeds (nutsedge) started growing in about one third of the lawn area. The preferred way to eliminate them is with a herbicide which is unsafe for pets so I could not do that. The other method is to dig out the weeds down to the root and replant the lawn which Arborscape were unwilling to do. So I am left with a lawn that is just as bad as the original one. This was a big waste if money and time. I would not recommend using Arborscape for your project. read more

I live in Lake Charles, La and found Arborscape's info, specifically Lonnie's contact info, through an Internet search. I have 4 rainbow eucalyptus trees and started experiencing an issue with my oldest and largest tree. The tree stopped producing leaves. The tree didn't completely shed its leaves, just stopped growing new leaves. As my concern grew, I looked for information online as there is limited Rainbow eucalyptus knowledge in this area. I came across Lonnie's information and called him. Not realizing he was in California, I called him at 6a.m. his time, he answered! We spent the next half hour on the phone discussing ways to make my tree healthy. I did as he suggested and within a week my tree started growing leaves again. We requested an estimate to trim our fruit trees by Arborscape. Lonnie got back to us within a day and gave us a reasonable estimate. He said it would be a couple of weeks because he was very busy but it was only a couple of days. He was here with his crew to start early in the morning. These guys are the picture of industry. They sharpened their tree trimming tools and were our in our grove in no time. During the day we decided a masonry company would build a wall and we needed a row of dwarf citrus taken out. My trailer park insisted I have a tree chopped down in my backyard that until recently was their problem and since it now cost money suddenly became mine. They told me that I would be charged over 420.00 out of my 950.00 soc sec check. I checked with several companies and either was ignored or received extremely large estimates with no payment plans or considerations. Soc Sec is only received once a month and the park (Santiago Estates in MV) set a very inconvenient date for completion of this unplanned project. I called Arborscape and talked to a very kind lady who contacted Lonnie and an appointment was swiftly arranged. As it turned out I had a VA appt that day but we agreed it was fine for them to do the work. It was a very large peppertree which hung over my mobile and a back fence. They came over and did a beautiful highly efficient job and completely cleared up all of the tree and any traces of branches and work materials and left an immaculate yard. Arborscape Tree Services and Landscaping are the BEST! Lonnie responded to our call for an estimate within 24 hours and scheduled an estimate appointment for the following day. Lonnie arrives on time and does exactly what he promises. Lonnie is professional yet personable and very knowledgeable. He really knows his business and readily answers questions. His crew worked diligently to dig out the shrubs we wanted removed and his trimmer should be called an artist after seeing what a beautiful job he did trimming our trees--which we think were never trimmed since the developer planted them in 2007. They took everything away and left the areas clean of any debris. We're also very appreciative of the fact that Lonnie looks after his crew to be sure they're safe while on the job.
