I was actually suspicious of the pricing at first, but it seems like they use tech (in this case a bucket lift truck instead of climbers for the altitude work) where it makes sense. We hired them to remove a couple small dead trees, do a 25' high limb removal, and trim the top deadwood off of another tree. Tree of Life crew rolled up with a team and bunch of equipment, worked quickly as specified with Luis on the quote. They got the planned work done and did not mess around... What really distinguished them to me was the care of the property. They brought blowers and cleaned up after the cutting areas. They brought a chipper for the branches and truck to do any other hauling. For a high cut, they brought in a bucket truck, and laid down rubber track mats to ensure the yard wasn't damaged by the tires. They watched out for the various cables and things attached to our house to avoid damage from limbs. This showed good attention to how they did their work and care for the customer. Profoundly disappointing experience with Treeo. We have a large limb with branches impacting the…read moretop of my porch. Requested an estimate from Treeo, who provided a large estimate for multiple portions of a tree. Estimate was vague, so I requested an arborist to come out and actually speak to me so I could get a better idea of what the estimate entailed. Arborist provided multiple estimates, and I went forward with the one that entailed specifically deadwood above the tree and the house. Estimate was written in an unclear and confusing manner, and I had understood this to mean both based on wording and conversation with the arborist that this included the problem branches. Which I admit is my mistake - I should have taken that as a sign and gone with a comparably priced competitor who had written a clearer, more honestly formatted estimate. I see from other reviews that i am not the only one misled by the difference between what their arborist and I discussed and what they decided their job was when they wrote the estimate. Treeo then spent two months putting off my trim job. When they finally arrived, they did minimal work ) and proceeded to yell at me on the phone when I was concerned with the quality of their craftsmanship and their estimate. Arborist accused *me* of wasting *his* time for having asked him to write an estimate with me present at the house earlier on, so he could answer questions. Truly the most bafflingly unprofessional customer service experience I've ever had in my life. Had I known I was such a bother to them during our initial conversation I'd have simply gone elsewhere, but I guess at that point they were still trying to put on a good face to take my money for 20 minutes of work that left my trees actually looking worse than before. The irony is, if he'd simply advised X amount to complete the job as I'd understood it, I'd have probably given him the benefit of the doubt said 'yes.' He cost his own company further business. At no point did I threaten not to pay for the work - they simply don't stand up for their crew's workmanship and yelled instead, which indicates the company has likely had issues before and have found being rude to be the easiest way for them to deal with customers frustrated with their poor service. This is not a company with competent, clear, or helpful customer service. After months of delays in communication, to have someone so high up in the company act in such a deeply unserious and unprofessional manner was truly upsetting. There are many other tree companies in the area and I implore anyone looking for their work done to go to save themselves the trouble and find someone else.

Our property is in the woods, and it is unique because it goes up against a ravine, so bucket trucks can't really access the trees in the back. We had three other quotes from different local companies; all of them were really expensive, and scheduling was a pain (1-2 months out, cancellations with rain, etc.). Benjamin had a little trouble finding the property for the quote, but that's because we built the house recently and GPS isn't always cooperative. I had to call the company to see where he was at. The woman who answered the phone for the company was always kind and understanding. The man who did the quote was the company owner. He was willing to work with us on the price, and he said he could get it taken care of the following week (wow, no 1-2 month wait!). We decided to go ahead and schedule the tree removal. While the company did show up at 8 instead of the 12-4 window we were given, this wasn't a big deal (we told them we were going to be home anyway). They did an amazing job taking down the tree and were done within an hour. Very professional group. They had to take the tree down in sections but were very careful, and they were thoughtful about the property (minimal damage of other trees, despite it being a giant oak going down). Overall, we are really impressed with the work. When we need a tree taken down again (we live in the woods, so we definitely will), we will call them first. Highly recommended.
