Kyle operated and now the maples can breathe and look better than they ever have. The bed under the maples contained 40 prized hostas and 7 huge pots with jade, bromeliads and flowers. The crew caught each branch before it reached the ground and didn't harm a single plant! In the back, a giant river birch was growing onto the roof. River birches are not easy to climb, but Kyle was able to climb it and completely eliminate the problem. The whole crew worked together as a team, cutting, hauling, chipping--and at the end, doing a thorough clean up job removing all debris and raking the yard. I highly recommend Blue Ox.

The crew returned in the afternoon and completed work quickly. Though they were the most affordable, there were a couple things that I wasn't happy about. The tree I had removed was close to my home, and was in the process of dying (already had limbs falling). While cutting it down, one of the limbs they cut hit the front side of home. Luckily, there was no damage caused that I know of- though the gutter was scratched and I'm sure the roof was scuffed. Secondly, they dropped large parts of the tree onto my concrete- this was a heavy tree so fortunate that the concrete wasn't damaged. A pro was they took time to cut out a section of the base of the tree so that I could preserve it- went above and beyond what was expected for the service. Though they were the most affordable, I did have a couple close calls where my property could have been damaged. Will most likely go with a different company next time.

It was very easy to obtain an estimate from Chad, and we worked with his office manager, Becki, to coordinate the details. We let them know what we wanted done and that we were in no hurry -- scheduling the work 4 to 6 weeks out was perfectly fine. Four homes on our cul-de-sac coordinated together for various tree projects. Some had trees removed with firewood left behind and stacked neatly, while others requested all debris to be hauled away and shredded for mulch. Chad arrived with a professional crew of about nine people who worked hard for roughly four and a half hours. They removed eight trees, trimmed six more, and cleaned up so thoroughly that you'd never know they had been there. The price was extremely reasonable, especially compared to similar work I've had done in the past. The team operated safely and efficiently, with three climbers carefully topping and lowering trees to avoid any damage to nearby trees, our deck, or neighboring properties. Chad was professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He knew exactly how to trim each tree -- whether lightly or more moderately -- and happily handled a few additional requests we made on the day of the job.
