This is a great company. I found them on Yelp and hired them based on the positive reviews. After the completion of the job I can add another great review. Junior responded quickly to my initial call and arrived the same day to give a quote. He walked my property with me and explained how he would trim each of several trees that needed work. I had a great understanding of what they would do by the time he left. On the day of the job, Junior and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30am, as promised, and got to work. They did a great job of trimming two trees away from wires and trimmed/laced several other trees in my back yard. They removed a large bird of paradise tree in my front yard and ground out the stump. You'd never know a tree had been there! They also trimmed and laced a Ficus in my front yard impressively leaving the outside of the tree in tact so it looked good from the curb. They did a thorough clean up and left my property looking good. I got a great price and great work from Junior and his crew. We needed to have a street side tree trimmed to allow SDG&E to disconnect power for our electrical contractor to complete the rewire of our house. After two weeks of SDG&E saying that they could do nothing and the city arborist claiming there was no safety hazard with the limbs of the tree putting pressure on the power lines to our house, we had three days to find someone to come out and trim the tree. After reviewing the various arborists on Yelp we settled on Arbor Task Tree Service. Alman responded within 30 minutes of our call and came out to our house to inspect the job. He gave a most competitive estimate for the job and started work immediately. The work was done expediently, professionally and within an hour and a half from my original call the work was complete. Alman was courteous, very knowledgeable, and a pleasure to do business with. There is some other tree work that needs to be done in the future and we will definitely use his service. Alman Grant I had a Brazilian pepper tree removed from my backyard a few months ago by Arbor Task Tree Service. Alman Grant and his crew did a superior job. Alman was very knowledgeable during the free estimate he gave as to the type of tree it was and the best way to go about it so it would not sprout new roots and return. I hired him on the spot. They were on time, professional and very thorough. The tree was close to a fence and they made sure not one branch hit the fence as they were taking it down. When they were finished, they cleaned up the yard completely which ended up looking better then it did before they started. After poisoning the stump, he returned 3 months later as promised to completely finish the job. He did such a great job, while he was there to grind the stump, I asked if he could quickly remove and grind 3 smaller trees in the front yard while he was there. I first used Arbor Task Tree Service 10 years ago to remove and grind out 2 very tall untrimed palm trees in my back yard. His quote was consistant with other contractors, but I got a good feeling talking to them about the job. The two trees were over my pool so I was very concerned about hiring a tree service. Almond and his crew all did such a fantastic job, everything was done to my standards, and the clean up was perfect. I hired them 3 mores times in the years since, to cut and grind out stumps of serveral trees. The are all very polite, quiet, prompt, and do all the clean up without you having to ask. Alman Grant came to our home promptly to give us an estimate and shared his knowledge of trees and the best ways to manage their growth. His crew came promptly at the time scheduled and began work on several trees on our property, including removal of two large queen palms and trimming of a huge pepper as well as many others in the back. They pruned smaller plants, were professional and used equipment that was efficient, so much so that they finished much earlier than was expected. They cleaned up meticulously and placed all furniture back, even leveling out the DG in our backyard. I was impressed by both Alman and his crew's sense of craft in their work - not just a job but care in their profession. I have four huge trees, a few medium trees and numerous bushes that needed lacing and trimming. I got two quotes and Arbor Task's quote was about 500 less than the other one. Plus they have a very good insurance policy which helped in making my decision. They were scheduled for 7:30 am and the workers came right on time. They were very courteous and professional and listened to my concerns. It took a team of 6 guys to do the work and took over four hours. They trimmed off so much I didn't think it would fit in their truck. But after grinding/mulching it just barely fit. At the end the owner/arborist walked through the job with me to make sure I was happy with all of the work and even had the guys clean up odds and ends. As noted in an earlier review, Wayne Shaver and the Arbor Task crew are are awesome. They just wrapped up a fairly extensive project on our very large African Acacia. Though the tree is somewhat difficult to work on (large spines) and grows in a challenging setting (over the roof, through the power lines and surrounded by delicate landscaping), the job was completed efficiently and without incident or damage. The crew was easy to deal with and Wayne was accessible and his attention to detail was impressive. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work and with the final cost of the job. When I received a letter from the fire department indicating I needed to cut down all the dead growth behind my house I searched Yelp to find tree services. When I saw that Arbor was 5 stars I called them for an estimate. Wayne showed up on time and was very thorough as we walked the area that needed to be cleared. He was very knowledgeable on all the plants and trees that were on the hillside and what the fire department needed in order for the area to be in compliance. The crew that showed up was friendly and even double checked with me on what plants I wanted to keep. Filled out the online form for an estimate to remove a very large star pine from my yard. Got a call back almost immediately. We scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Alman showed up on time and gave me a very reasonable price for the removal and grinding of the stump. We hired him for the job and he was able to come back out the next morning. Alman and his crew showed up at 8am and were done with the job by 11am. They did a great job and let me know what to do in regards to planting a new tree in its place. I had two trees removed and a stump ground away. I also had trimming service on a third tree. One of the trees was a little difficult to get to and haul away due to being on a canyon slope. The cost for all work was, in my opinion, very reasonable. Wayne was very knowledgeable and made good recommendations. He explained what he would do to make sure the job was done correctly and with as little interference with the surrounding environment. Their estimate was actually a bit more than a couple others, but I felt more comfortable with Wayne than the other guys that came out. This is the first principal they have broken without providing their part for over 6 months! We had to go to court eventually after all our calls and requests went ignored. The court sided with us and ruled we get all our monies. We had a camphor and a southern oak tree and various bushes that needed to be trimmed prior to new fences being installed. I found Arbor through an internet search, Alman Grant came out and gave me an estimate for the work which turned out to be the best one we received. He and his crew did a great job, both trimming and clean up. When up on the roof to remove debris, he also blew out the gutters and they really needed it. My neighbor was very impressed and asked them for a quote to do some trimming in her yard, she told me they would be coming out sometime this week. We have five cypress trees that were overgrown and with El Niño's rain I was concerned that they might not be stable. I called another tree service who said that they couldn't be trimmed without harming the trees and that they'd remove them for $3800. Arbor Task Tree Service, came out, did a pull test to evaluate the root strength and trimmed them each by a third. They also guaranteed that if they did fall that they'd remove them without charge. They look great and did this all for $1500, quite reasonable by all counts. They not only did an excellent job, but completely cleaned the property properly. Very happy. I called Arbor Task for an estimate on clearing trees and bushes from my canyon after I received a notice from the Fire Dept that they were too close to the house. Wayne came out promptly, gave me a reasonable bid and said the work would be done the next day. I was nervous because I was going to be out of town but Wayne assured me that the work would be done. I was so surprised when I returned and all the trees and bushes had been removed or trimmed and the canyon looked amazing. They cleaned everything!! There's a reason these guys have such high reviews and it's because they're truly professional and fantastic! They certainly know their stuff and they gave me a great deal. They removed a massive 100+ foot tall star pine from the yard of the house we just bought and the yard looks as though the skyscraper of a tree was never there in the first place. They contacted the electric company and the water company beforehand, had the ground marked so they knew where to dig, came exactly on the date they told me they would and did exactly the job they promised.
