She had a cancellation over memorial day weekend so I took it and didn't get my hopes up. I was in the chair a little over an hour and my eyebrows turned out beautiful. Even better than I expected. Kara took the time to answer all of my question and listen to my concerns and as she did my eyebrows she said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my skin and my eyebrows came out beautifully . Almost 3 weeks out now and my brows look better every day and it saves me so much time and hassle getting ready in the morning. Be careful who you go to and make sure you read all reviews. I'm sad to say I posted a negative review to the people that I went to the first time and it has never been posted. I personally talk to somebody that had went to Kara and had raved about her so I knew going in what her work look like and the good feedback that this individual told me and she was right. I understand and respect that businesses have cancellation policies. However, I had an unexpected death in my family that required me to leave the state. I called approximately 22 hours before my appointment to explain the situation as soon as I found out and was told they would speak with the stylist (Selina) to see if there was any way to work something out given the circumstances. Instead, I received a call the next morning informing me that my card was charged nearly $200. Knowing that my circumstances had been communicated to the stylist and that the decision was still made to charge the fee made the experience even more disheartening. Life emergencies happen, and the loss of a family member is not something anyone can plan for. I wasn't canceling because I changed my mind or found something better to do. I communicated as soon as I reasonably could and hoped that, as a long-time client, there would be some understanding and flexibility. After this experience, I was left with the impression that the cancellation policy took precedence over any consideration of the circumstances or the relationship built with long-term clients. I fully understand why policies exist, but I also believe exceptional customer service involves using discretion when someone is facing an unavoidable family emergency. Reading the salon's responses to other customers with similar concerns gave me the impression that policies are consistently prioritized over empathy or finding a reasonable compromise. I hope this experience encourages the salon to consider that showing compassion in extraordinary situations can leave a much more lasting impression than strictly enforcing a policy.
