It's so sad that a business owner cannot be responsible for her employees mistakes. Obviously Nicolette wouldn't know the difference. She's not the one who did my eyebrows, and I can send other pictures of the work her brother Sean did. I would never want to be a client of theirs again. I recently visited Nikki at Cosmetink based on an incredible amount of research and waiting for the right artist/ time to have my brows and lip blush done. I booked in February and took the first available appointment in late July. Its expensive, but all great care is and I am incredibly impressed by the top notch operation, business minds and cohesive artistry happening at Cosmetink with Nikki and her team. Alas, my brows (micro blading) didn't take- cue sad, sad emoji face... I emailed the team and Sean got back to me straight away and Nikki followed shortly after. We spoke via email at length and Nikki truly handled my undesired outcome in the most compassionate and professional manner. Nikki explained at length why we could not continue my brows and made the health of my skin the WHY and despite my disappointment at not having brows to die for I greatly appreciated the limits she set on the art of the brow considering my face is the canvas. I had an appt scheduled for microblading in August, no one ever specified who my appt would be with.. well I called a few days later to find out because I was told Nikki is the best person to go to. You are tattooing my face! Of course I want the most experienced and most well reviewed person! That is common sense lol well anyhow, Nikki was handling my call and I told her I went ahead and scheduled some place else anyway and that I would like to put my deposit towards another service. She said they do not allow transfer of deposit for another service (total bullshit) it's the same company, there shouldn't have been a problem for me to set up an alternate appt for lashes, etc. she refused to do it and then felt like telling me that she actually does not want me coming to the salon at all for any service and i am Not allowed to ever be a client of theirs lol apparently I was being rude. No, I got inpatient because I wanted to know what would happen to my deposit since their policy is no refunds. She granted the refund but I would never recommend this salon to anyone, Nikki is cocky, bragged about how she charges way more than the other girl (her "apprentice" as she called her) and that she is booked until January. Ummmm there's so many other great places that do microblading. Get off your high horse. Whoever does their marketing needs a raise because if you google microblading they are the first salon that comes up and that's how I found them. They also advertise like crazy on Facebook. They are super overrated. I am Now set up with an awesome studio in Allentown which by the way, welcomes lots of nikkis clients later on down the road looking for corrections or touch ups haha get over yourself! Looks like Nikki has responded to my review! And as you can see she sounds like she is making everything up as she goes along! Lol she is lying so bad! None of that ever happened! I just had my second experience at Cosmetink! I went Karlee this time and ombré powder brows. I just began the healing process. I knew I wanted to change my brows and I never thought twice about going anywhere else. The new location is perfect, the staff is so friendly and Karlee was amazing. iThis business has a very leeduliystem, you must put down a large deposit to schedule a consultation and if you are not prepared to immediately move forward with the procedure then you lose your entire deposit. I was able to get my brows done by Nikki last October and the experience was stellar! Her warmth, professionalism and serious knowledge about her art is impeccable. I was unfortunately dealing with botched work from another artist and she educated me on what happened, and made every effort to correct the issue. Nice reply but many, many omissions. For example, I originally emailed my inquiry 6 weeks prior but nikki never responded. I could see she had read my message on Instagram but she CHOSE not to respond. I followed up on my inquiry not once but three times when nikki finally got back to me to say she doesnt respond to Instagram messages when her business is heavily advertised on Instagram, which is how I found it about it. She wasn't nice or courteous. Despite that, I emailed her my inquiry. All in all, nikki didnt respond to my emails or questions for appx 5 weeks. Then after FINALLY getting ahold of someone and explaining that I was from out of state and would be in the area in a few weeks (plus their calendar was blocked due to covid) I wanted to know if she would be open and if shed be able to accommodate me on that specific weekend. She never responded. I could see her on instagram responding to other peoples comments n question, just not mine. I could see her posting but couldnt get a response back. Like I said, too busy to communicate? Why not hire a receptionist? Customers are the fuel that keep your business running. A simple response would have been nice. Even a "hey, a little swamped will get back to you next week" or something but with no response, she opened back up during our correspondence and then became booked out till January in a matter of 2 weeks. If nikki had responded to me, I could have gotten the services when I needed them. I am the customer right? After sending the requested photos of my face, nikki just stopped answering. Saw her on Instagram responding to EVERYONE else but me and started to wonder why I was being purposefully ignored? it took me commenting on THREE pictures on her business site practically begging for a response before her best friend and fellow local business owner started attacking me on her Instagram, defending nikki's poor communication and telling me "honey they have more shortage of business just go elsewhere." Felt like high school honestly. As a consumer expecting to pay at least $1000 in services from Nikki,I have the right to tell people my experience. This has nothing to do with COVID and everything to do with the amount of effort shes willing to put into responding to my review and asking her friends to write reviews to discount me, rather than do what's right in the first place. I never fought but I did stick up for myself especially when young nikki decided to "school me" on a public forum instead of communicate with her customer with respect. She treated me like I didnt matter and when she emailed me back she told me to find another salon. Mind you, this was after I told her I had found someone else and wouldnt be needing her services. Nikki thinks that reminding her that businesses should be professional and that the customer should come first is fighting on her Instagram. I think in reality she's just a talented kid, in over her head who has a lot to learn about kindness, courtesy, and humbleness. Also, my mother lives in PA which is why I was interested in this location out of my state so I am familiar with Covid and the restrictions which have absolutely have no bearing on the poor customer service I received from the owner of this company. My brows are still in the healing process and I am still so so impressed with the shape and color. I went to get my brows done by Nikki. Initially they turned out amazing but then they began to fade and look very faint in pigment color. I went back for my touch up and same thing happened. Nikki never once followed up with me or offered anything for me. I wasted $530 for a crappy job. As an esthetician myself I am familiar with Ombré tattooing and brow work so I know I took care of them the way I should. This business only cares about getting money. read more
