I'm not a huge makeup person, but I learned how to use some of the makeup that I owned but wasn't sure what was for. All of us ended up looking great at the end of the lesson for a birthday dinner. Alisha herself is just a really nice person to work with. She's not condescending to we make-up novices and just seems to genuinely enjoy what she's doing. Imagine the excitement of your daughter's wedding day! A day you have dreamed of since she was a little girl. The hair and makeup team arrive for the big day. They were there to do the hair/makeup of eleven of us. The services were required to be pre-paid which we made sure was done. I kindly asked that the makeup/hair team wear a mask when working on my younger daughter and myself because we are immuno-compromised. They flatly refused. After explaining the medical reason for the request and providing masks we were told "I refuse to wear a mask." As the mother and sister (and maid of honor) we were devastated not to be able to get the services we paid for. We scrambled to put ourselves together as to not ruin my daughter's special day. I hope this post can help another person avoid an anti customer business. If they could not honor the simple request that protects a customer's health and safety they are not a business anyone should deal with.

For my wedding I knew I wanted to get my makeup done professionally because; 1) I'm a crier and needed to make sure my eyes didn't show it, and 2) I sweat ridiculously and needed to hide 'the shiny' for pictures. I looked like a gazillion other people and by the end of the night, it's always a disaster. I went for a trial somewhere else and was so disappointed because I told the girl that I don' like a lot of make up and again, she did the same make up job everyone gets. Carmen was referred to me by my photographer. She said, Carmen is great and her make up jobs are perfect for accenting your features. I did my trial with here and she was so different and really paid attention to all my facial features. I am so happy I took her advice!!! My new husband (who hates make up) loved it!!! My issues; 1) I didn't cry, but I am 100% certain nobody would have know and 2) I did sweat, ALOT. From the ceremony to the end of the reception and not once did I have shiny face! Even in pictures people took with there phones at 3 in the morning...looks like I just walked out of the salon! I tried one place at the beginning of the summer and it didn't go as I thought it would and the results were not what I was expecting. The pain, yes, but the results....not so much. I couldn't imagine why people would prefer waxing with those results. It's an uncomfortable thing to discuss anyways, but after my experience but after meeting with when she did my make up for my wedding, I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism she showed as an aesthetician. I decided I would talk with her about bikini waxing and get an idea of what to expect. She was so comfortable to talk to and now I know why this is preferred. Yes, it hurt, but she prepares your skin for the wax so it's smoother, she is quick and very thorough. Gave me instructions for the day to prevent pain and infection and we set up my next appointment. I am more than satisfied and am looking forward to summer even more now!

She was very accommodating and explained the entire process at the beginning so there were no surprises. When we met for my trial (at her studio), I was confident I was in good hands. She makes you feel comfortable to open up and speak your mind so that she could help you perfect your wedding day look. That is what the Trial is for! I had sent Heather sample pictures of hair styles and make-up that I liked, and I could tell she did her homework because she pointed out details that I had not even noticed! She created a look that was similar but was able to tailor it to perfectly compliment my likes, hair length and facial features. I have extremely long hair but the models in my sample pictures were shorter length, so she worked something to hide some of the hair so that my low-bun was not enormous! Also, since I have a round face, she knew how to accentuate other features so that the roundness of my face was less noticeable. Then, I had gotten an airbrush tan after our trial, but before my wedding day, yet she was able to correctly match my skin color with no problem on the day of the wedding. I also wanted a different color lipstick, and although she did not have the exact match (it would be pretty hard unless I had the actual lipstick) she was able to mix some things together to get the look I was going for. These are only a few of the examples of why I think she is truly skilled and knowledgeable at what she does! My wedding makeup and hair was absolutely amazing!! She even leaves you with a touch-up kit and little hints like drink from straws. I could not thank her enough for her patience and being a great listener and giving me suggestions as I tried to make up my mind on what I liked and at times, would change my mind back to the initial choice!
