They have the best tamales in Chicago. I also love their pastries and cookies. Thanks

My husband and I have been coming to Araceli's for years and will continue to keep coming because we love the sandwiches and drinks despite having to deal with just one employee, Gloria, because she treats us poorly. For whatever reason, she has it out against my husband specifically, and every single time he is there, because when I come on my own, I never get treated like that even by her. When it is our turn to be rung up, she purposely takes the next customer behind us without finishing taking our order or charging us, which makes us wait longer or we have to ask a different employee to help us because she continues to take more people that came after us and will leave us standing there until we have to ask someone else to help us. I am tired of coming with my husband and witnessing this happen to him every single time. We just want to pay and go on about our day. That's it. Gloria is older than us and honestly should know to act better. The rest of the ladies are very nice and we have no issues with them! read more

Very nice Corner Bakery ! Many bakery items, pastries and beverages. The Cinnamon Roll is AMAZING! WowZA. It's not something I eat often, so I approach it with an open mind to the taste, they are all made different in my opinion. This is fried. Has a nice crunch for the sweetness. and yes, it's sweet! $2.99 for a large portion you can easily share, yes! The shop is nice and the girls were also polite and nice. They take cash & card. They are located in a busy area and open at 4am. The large Walgreens is just across the street to the West , they are open 24hrs. Many casino Gaming rooms nearby, bargain shopping and good restaurants as well. Free parking out front or on side. They also have a beautiful paver brick parking behind the store. It's very well cared for. read more

I just ordered Milanesa de Pollo sandwich. The chicken was so dried out , it honestly had the consistency of beef jerky! The bread and veggies, avocado were very fresh and tasty though, but I just couldn't get past the dry rawhide of the chicken! Also the girl that waited on me had a major attitude when I asked her if anything spicy could be added to the sandwich? She responded Jalapeño , I said fine , do you have hot sauce as well and was told rather cold and rudely "JALAPEÑO"! Sorry to bother you tamale queen! What a waste of $10 as well as my time. Sad because they have been my favorite, clearly I won't return! There are much better choices that you won't hurt your teeth on while chewing leather pollo and having employees give you attitude while you try to support a local business. NO THANKS! read more

I have gone in to place order and that took 10 minutes for them to attend me. Once the order was placed I decided to get bread meanwhile, until a customer told us that she saw our order being done and we went up to the counter just so the employee can tell us to get back in line and wait another 10-20 minutes. When getting to the cashier box we had mentioned to her that we were waiting and that we never heard her call out our order. Gloria Martinez, called us a lier and continued with smart comments. She continued arguing and being disrespectful with us until getting her point across. Really bad service, when going in expect waiting 15-25 minutes to get your order! 0-5 stars!! read more

Was able to taste them during a Blackhawks game night - themed for Hispanic Heritage Month. There were 4 different stations to choose from and this was one of them. They had pan GALORE at their station that had my friend and I in love. We were early so they were very generous to us and let us try a bunch of different pastries. They were friendly and if I am nearby I'd def stop by their shop :) read more

this place is absolute garbage! I had placed an order for red velvet and got vanilla food colored in red like what the fuck I wanted to be fat and devour my red velvet like what the actual hell. the service was also misleading I had asked so many questions and and double checked just to get charged to fix something I had payed nearly double for. never going to that place again I only went out of pitty stupid ass bread. read more

The rosca de Reyes from this bakery is AMAZING! I'm super picky about rosca and it not being to dry, too hollow, etc. This rosca has so much flavor and is soft and in no way dry. I would have to say this is THE BEST rosca I've ever had! They now also have a stuffed rosca, one with a sweet cream cheese type and the other is stuffed with strawberry. You will not be disappointed! read more

Delicious conchas. Delicious tamales. Always juicy and hot. The conchas are out of this world. The pork tamales are the best! read more

The main reason I come to Aracely's is for the tamales and champurrado. They have different kinds of tamales: chicken in green salsa, chicken in red salsa, pork in green salsa and pork in red salsa. They also have a rajas con queso (strips of peppers and cheese) one. I like the chicken ones because the spiciness level is just right. The champurrado is also really good. It's a thick, hot, yummy, chocolate...we're still talking about chamourrado, right??? Haha.. I gave 'em 4 stars because the tamales could be pricey. I think they're 19.99 a dozen. They also sell sandwiches. And they sell lots of mexican sweet breads too. read more

I ordered tamales and churros for my daughter's graduation party, and everyone loved them! I will order from them again and I highly recommend. read more

The tres leches was very dry it was just a regular white cake with whipped topping... flan was okay nothing special, got about 6 different pastries from donuts, brownies to cookies and all of them was old and almost fully hard. Definitely not fresh here and they know what they sale so if they are going to sale a few day old pastries they should least mark them down to not get a bad review because that is all I can give is a bad review for the price I paid and what I received. read more

Oh my!! Best tamales I've had in the Berwyn area. Perfect amount of meat/sauce/masa. Really good size, two alone make a meal. Wow...so good. Fast service, friendly staff, and they package nicely in a box. I like that they offer different options: chicken versus pork green sauce versus red sauce spicy versus regular or mild. They also have rajas. And of course - bakery items! Sweet Mexican breads are a must! Will be back - ughh this place is dangerous for the waistline but heaven for the tastebuds! read more

First tried Aracelys Bakery in the Melrose Park location and was really impressed! Tasted like a torta that your grandma would make. Decided to try the Cicero location and was disappointed. I ordered two tortas combinadas and it literally only had two thin slices of meat. I felt like I was also overcharged. Two tortas and three bakery items totaled up to $39 & some change. read more

It was my first time ordering from this bakery in cicero. I was ordering a cake for my sons birthday after so many mistakes that she kept putting on the slip at the end I specifically told her that I wanted the cake white with blue because it was a cake for a boy. When my husband picked up the cake and brought it home the cake was yellow. My son hates yellow. His favorite color is blue and if I'm paying for a service I expect it to be correct. I called right away and the manager said they can't do anything but refund $10. So now I have to take a yellow cake because it's too late to buy a new cake when I need it in the next 45 minutes. My recommendation to who ever reads this is do not buy from this place. read more

This bakery is known for delicious Mexican bread, champurrado, and tamales. However they have lost me and several others as customers for charging $28.74 per dozen of tamales. Not including taxes. They're charging rates as if it they were located in the Lincoln Park area, and at Christmas time in Cicero- most people are unable to afford those rates. read more

Bought some tamales. I have to say they were by far the best pork tamales I ever ate. Better than my grandmother's and my mother's, and that says a lot. I will definitely buy from there again and glad they are only 10 minutes from my house. I don't have to drive in to the city anymore to find the real deal. read more

Aracely's Bakery is an absolute favorite for my boyfriend and I! They have the most delicious sandwiches with a wide variety of breads, meats, and toppings to satisfy your craving. They only use fresh ingredients which is why their sandwiches taste so good. However, the item everyone must try is their tamales. They are only $1.25 each and usually have green and red tamales with cheese, rajas, and chicken but it is first come first serve so get there early! Their guava empanadas are really tasty too. Aracely's quick & friendly service along with their mouth watering sandwiches help them achieve a five star review. Keep up the great work! read more
