She then asked if she could see one other fish and he then got extremely rude. He told her if he had to pull another fish that the price would go up to $40. Then she told him she didn't want the white fish (he had pulled a white and a yellow) but he then threw both fish back in the tank not allowing her to consider the yellow. He then refused to pull another fish saying she already took up too much of his time (it was about 15 minutes total at this point). When she said $40 was too expensive he went on to insult her by asking if she was from a "poor" part of town. I have never in my life witnessed a business owner being so rude to a customer. I know customers can be picky but this is a fish that will be around for the next 30 years so she wanted to look at a few up close. There was another customer in the store and he walked out after hearing the owner yelling at my sister in law who was practically in tears. I had some plants I was going to purchase but I put them back. So he lost 3 customers in less than 30 minutes. I wish I would have videotaped the event but I didn't. My jaw just dropped because I've never seen anything like this before. I would not suggest shopping here. He may have a monopoly on the market in this area but please look elsewhere. He is not a kind human being. Sad people have to be this way. Kindness and patience is a virtue that is lost for this particular owner. Maybe he was having a bad day but as an business owner you should be kind to your customers. Saw another review from 5 days ago and that customer seemed to have a similar experience. I was planning to be a lifelong customer and recommend this place but not after what I witnessed today.
