Myrtle Beach Resort - Beach Front view

Access to the other building's indoor pools and hot tub. People are so friendly. Nice staff. Looks like they are updating the building, will be nice to see it finished. Great room good price. Beautiful view, clean, convenient and we can't wait to return!

If you want to be a South Myrtle, this location is great. Here's what you need to know though…read more We purchased our week here from a private owner who rents out this unit. So, we got a great deal on an oceanfront condo in Building B. The condo was nice and has been updated. It could sleep 5, but it was just the 2 of us. 5 would have been tight, but doable. The views of the ocean were great and we are spending a lot of time on the balcony. The amenities are decent. There is a large outdoor pool, and smaller pool area that also has a kids play area and a lazy river. There is also a decent sized indoor pool. The last pool is by the high rise building which is undergoing some renovations and is therefor currently closed. We eat most meals out and leave the resort to do so. Not many options here. This resort lies between two of the largest campgrounds in the MB area. The area by the ocean is gated but unlocked and unmonitored so folks from anywhere on the beach can come and go...and they do. There is zero keeping anyone from using the pools, the restaurants, etc. What we did not know is that the only operating restaurant on property is an open air bar just 100 yards away from our condo. When we arrived on Saturday night they had karaoke. Annoying, but ok, it's Saturday. Then they did it again on Sunday. Ok, so maybe it's a weekend thing. Here we are on Monday and it's going again. It's hard to enjoy an evening on the balcony when every night from 6-11 is filled with off-pitch singing. And as the night goes on, the drunker and louder the crowd gets. Again, our condo is good and the views are great. We love being steps from the beach. But this is a party resort for theand very little ability to enjoy quiet time. Not our style at all.

Our condo was clean and completely stocked…read morewith kitchen supplies, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs etc. There was no maid service in the since of requesting towels because the unit had a washer and dryer so we were able to just wash our towels as needed. There was an event or theme each day held by the staff like wine club sunday, donuts on Tuesdays I think bingo on Thursdays etc something to keep everyone involved. The "indoor" pool was a covered outdoor pool but it wasnt cold but I wouldn't say heated either. There was also a hot tub and they also had separate towels in the pool area. The location was super close to a Walmart, chick fil a, several restaurants and stores. This was a great trip fot our little family. I'm probably only docking a star because of the "gym" or fitness center that it mentioned which was literally like in the game room/club house place and had 1 treadmill, a bike i think and then like an all in o k e machine thing that you could do some basic workouts on. I definitely wouldn't call it a fitness center but that was my only complaint I instead just drove to crunch about 15 minutes away

When I saw the reviews for this place I got a little nervous. So happy we didn't go by them. When…read morewe arrived between 5-5:30 and our place wasn't ready. Check-in was 4pm so we waited around about 15 minutes or so. They put us in 12-B1 which is a lower unit. We checked everything out before bringing things in. Place was clean, smelled good and had everything we needed. Very spacious and comfortable. Others complained of bugs, we never saw one. Pool is awesome it's indoors and the kids went swimming everyday. Only 2 times in the week there were too many people. Most times we had the pool to ourselves. They play religious music at the pool, I myself thought that was a weird choice. Others might like it. So, the only thing that we dealt with is not the fault of the timeshare. The people above us were so inconsiderate the kids ran back and forth even as late as 12.30 am. The adults sounded like a bunch of elephants. So rude, so annoying. So if you get an upper level unit, be considerate. Your neighbors below hear everything. Grounds were kept up nice.

We stayed at the Grand Palms week of 16-February-2026…read more The 3 reflects that this property and experience met expectations. The only exception is the 2nd step to get the parking pass. WELCOME CENTER EXPERIENCE. = 2 out 5 The person who checked us in did a great job. Efficient and friendly. Had only been working 3 weeks. But dis well. BELOW IS WRITE UP IS WHY IT WAS A 2. Than you have to get your parking pass. You know the drill the people who want to sign you up for 2 hour high pressure meeting. The individual could not let it go to the point he said "it's a no brainer" to take the deal being offered. I told him no free lunch. The other thing he said which seems to be something I heard at another time share "we are guest on the property." I spent a good 10 minutes going back and forth with the individual. Waste of time. f I had to do it again I would tell the person at front desk please getting my parking pass. But they did put me on no call list which was good. You know they are your best bud until you keep saying no and they lose the mark. I am sure that the individuals who are working to sign you up it is part of thier deliverable for performance. "How many people do they sign up". ROOM = 3 out 5 We had a two bedroom unit. Everything needed for cooking etc. Did need to call housekeeping for trash bags. The unit was clean and everything worked well. The only thing about the unit is one front window. The two bedrooms had thier own door and windows to a small patio. The view is bamboo grass. The king size bed was great. The HVAC system worked well. Appliances no issue. There is a washer and dryer available in room and did the job. PROPERTY = 3 out 5 It feels less.like a resort and more like an apartment complex. The place was built in 1985. It is surrounded by other condo properties. There are pools. The surfside beach is a 15 minute drive. We went two days. Managed to have one day where setup our chairs and enjoyed the sun. Plenty of parking. Restrooms at each public parking area. The spot we choose had a group of eating establishments close to the beach area. Check out was easy. Called a number and left name and unit. Received a text later and reconfirmed. Dropped card keys off at security kiosk. I am not sure why it was but getting from welcome center to the unit was confusing. I think improving signage would be a plus. We choose not to go to Mrytle Beach. We do not eat out as much as we used to due to high dinner and beverage cost. The taxes on dining was 10%. We shopped at Publix and Piggley Wiggley. Route 17 as you will find is a busy road. We enjoyed the stay. We discussed if this is a place we would return to. The feeling is was ok but not something we would choose to return to. We have RCI and have an inventory of places to use. A caveat to this is we had just come from Hilton Head Island and this environment felt like a step down.

***Late post from my Oct 2023 East Coast trip***…read more I booked Club Wyndham Grand Palms through my vacation ownership, WorldMark The Club (Best of the Best!). After picking up my rental car from Budget at Myrtle Int'l Airport, I drove straight to this resort. Luckily, it was only about 10 mins away. I don't mind the long drives if necessary, but I do love the short drives especially having been in route via airplane for several hours. It's right off US-17 BUS and not too far from the beach. Huge lobby. Staff was nice and pleasant. Check-in was very easy. After I got my unit keys, I was sent over to the concierge desk of course. They gave me a map of Myrtle Beach and some additional information. Thank you! I also signed up for their Club Wyndham sales presentation even though I had no intention of buying more into my vacation ownership... I just love to hear what new things are in the horizon in the hospitality realm because I love to travel. They did give me a complimentary gift for my time... thank you! My studio unit was upstairs since all the downstairs units were taken. I had to walk up two flights of stairs which wasn't too bad. I only had one big luggage and a big bag with Garretts popcorns at the time LOL. Unit was open and spacious. Kitchenette had limited plates, utensils, and appliances. Dining table was adequate for one person. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was decent. This was a connecting unit with another unit next door that was probably a one bedroom. My stay here was only for a couple nights so I didn't take advantage of the resort amenities... they had plenty of fun stuff to offer. I enjoyed my stay very much even though it was short. Btw, all the units are located within a mile from the check-in lobby. You'll need to drive to your unit accordingly... the round-a-bouts can be tricky especially at night so pay attention. I would stay here again the next time I'm at Myrtle Beach. Happy Travels! P.S. I will post photos later. Thanks for your patience.

Very hard review due to the mixed feelings I have about this place. My first impression was over…read morethe phone when I asked about check in time I was told it is 3pm and if you want to check in before it is an additional 25 dollar fee, seriously? yes even if the site is available, ok so what do I do if my GPS takes me there and arrive at 2:40 and she said you still have to pay the 25 dollar fee or you can wait at a nearby Walmart. Gave me the impression that is not a customer friendly campground. I wasn't given the discount because I didn't ask for it, no refunds after the site has been reserved, no credits either. Upon arrival we were waiting to be checked in behind a Class A rig by the gate house and due to the size of the Class A I could not read the tiny sign indicating that if there was nobody at the gate to come inside, finally when that rig moved I realized I had to go inside, another 5 or six minutes wasted after 3pm no big deal but it adds up to my initial disconformity. The place is huge! I have never been to a campground with over 1000 sites not one hundred but one thousand! Very hard water but that is not their fault, city water. Got to our site and it looks ok but but but it is not concrete and it is not gravel, it is a combination of dirt sand and leaves. That tells me the site may have been vacant for several days and the 25 dollar fee is not even justified because I am not rushing employees to clean up the site that just became available the day of my arrival. Dirt and sand, no problem as long as there is no rain because I brought my 14 X 14 rug but guess what it rained all day the day before our departure and it was a bit of a mess even if we take our shoes off inside the coach. We didn't partake in any of the amenities available like the water park and the corn hole etc because of the convention we were attending here and BTW the facility we were given was very nice to accommodate about 80 plus of us. I take one star for the fact that my site wasn't quite level and for the dirt, it is not even gravel for goodness sake. I wouldn't call it a resort unless every site was concrete Would I come back? Yes just because the beach right there a few feet from the sites that are closest to the Information Center where we gather every day for our conference. It turns out they give a discount but they won't offer it to you unless you ASK for it and because I didn't ask at the time I booked they refused to refund because it is run by a corporation with dozens and tens of dozens of employees. Inclined to take two stars but because I had a great time with our new friends at the convention I am leaving this place very happy and wishing to come back when it is not raining ALL DAY with a bloody mess on my shoes with all the dirt and sand. Water park inside for the youngins but the dirt and sand prevents me from calling a five star resort but a four star campground

But not our idea of family friendly - yes there are lots of things to do like beach, Putt/putt and arcade (extra $) but for relaxing, walking or riding bikes it's terrible due to heavy traffic of constant golf carts and vehicles.
