We scheduled KCD close to two weeks out, needing work to be completed by a very specific date. The…read morework was to be done and concluded two days before we absolutely had to have it in place. Two hours before their start time, they cancelled due to rain. Mind you, as best I can tell was not raining inside our garage where the work needed to be done. Also, this rain was also not a mystery event that could not have been foreseen. It had been in the forecast for many days in advance (have I mentioned that it also does not rain inside our home?). So I'm not sure why they waited until 11:39 AM to cancel a job that was commencing at 1:30 PM. They offered to return on a day that was also forecast for rain, but maybe that was less aggressive rain? This naturally on the day we already needed to have the work done and in place, so even if they had magically figured out how to work indoors in the rain, we were quite hosed. We had initially chosen them not because they were the cheapest, but specifically because of their availability and ease of schedule. So ... needless to say they really put us in a terrible spot all around and we won't be seeking them out again.

You want somebody reasonably priced and knowledgeable when it comes to AC I can't recommend Curly…read moreat A-TEK Mechanical enough! From the moment he arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable, and determined to get to the root of the problem. He spent a couple of minutes troubleshooting my AC system until he found the exact issue instead of guessing or trying to sell me unnecessary repairs. The part I needed was extremely difficult to find, but Curly tracked it down and even kept my AC running while he waited for it to arrive. The only time it had to be shut off was for the major repair itself, and he made sure that downtime was as short as possible. What really impressed me was the honesty and value. Other companies quoted me prices that would have cost an arm and a leg, but Curly completed the work at a very reasonable price and saved me a significant amount of money. It's hard to find someone who is this skilled, fair, and genuinely looking out for their customers. If you need HVAC work, do yourself a favor and call Curly at A-TEK Mechanical. Outstanding service, fair pricing, and excellent communication from start to finish. Five stars all the way!

After reading some reviews I called Premier1. Eddie asked me to take a couple of pictures and send to him and said he would be here at 7:30 the next morning with all the supplies needed to do the job and would meet the price of the other company. Also said they would be done about 4:30. He and Gabriel did an amazing job, showed up on time, finished on time, and left everything in perfect condition. My AC is working perfectly and this is a real blessing for my son and I (who has MS) since we had been without air conditioning since the middle of July and Escondido has been incredibly hot this summer. Thank you, Eddie and Gabriel for your professional, kind and excellent service, Judy Breazeale

Then they came to clean out the filter system and duct work..Well, today September 26, 2026 the AC unit was not running properly.... I called them, but no answer. So I had to find another AC company.. The AC guy came out and fixed the problem and told me the AC unit needed to be cleaned out and recharged. I told him I just had it done in April of this year. He showed me how dirty the AC unit is, and that it had NOT been cleaned.. it should not have collected so much dust within 5 months. Make story short. I'm just super disappointed with Premier 1 and their service. I paid over $3,000 for their service too.

Liberty Plumbing, Heating & Air -- Omar After two weeks…read morewithout air in 100-degree Fallbrook heat, Omar from Liberty Plumbing, Heating & Air saved our house. Our Goodman system died in late August. Another tech first thought it was the blower, then the circuit board. Parts had to be ordered around the holiday, and even after the board arrived there was a wireless connector and a QR/app setup the first visit could not finish. Omar came as the senior tech and stayed nearly five hours. He spent about two hours on the phone with Goodman technical support trying to get the new board to connect through their software. At one point the company even offered to leave the parts and not charge us if another contractor had to finish the job. That honesty alone says a lot. Omar did not quit. He packed up, then went back into the closet for one more try. The connection finally went through at the same moment Goodman support came back on the line. He configured the board, got the system running, and used the app to increase blower speed so the air is stronger and colder than before. He also noticed the closet filter had not been changed in years, custom-cut a washable filter for our odd size, and installed it. Omar worked with the owners as a team and treated a miserable, two-week outage like it was his problem to solve. We are grateful. If your AC is down, ask for Omar.
